Contraband, the new Mark Wahlberg crime movie, is expected to win the box office for the extended Martin Luther King Day Weekend.

With an estimated $30 million haul, Contraband would edge Beauty and the Beast 3D, the Disney re-release, which is tracking toward $26 million for its own opening.

Meanwhile, the Queen Latifah-Dolly Parton release Joyful Noise is battling it out with Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol for third place.

The NBA star proposed to longtime girlfriend Savannah Brinson on New Year’s Eve.

The couple, who have two sons together, were celebrating James’ 27th birthday (which fell on Friday).

Let’s get this out of the way right off the bat: If either Robert Pattinson or Kristen Stewart had missed last night’s People’s Choice Awards, HollywoodLife would find a way of twisting that into evidence of relationship problems.

But since the ‘Twilight’ stars were on hand for the ceremony, scooping up awards and making host Queen Latifah weak in the knees, the site needed a different angle to promote the idea that Pattinson and Stewart are in trouble.

A number of musicians are also slated to perform, including Stevie Wonder, Billie Joe Armstrong of Green Day, Lady Antebellum, Leona Lewis, and Martina McBride. Will you be watching?
