The Pittsburgh Steelers and Green Bay Packers will collide in Dallas tonight (on FOX) to determine the NFL’s new champion.

But what’s going on besides the game itself? Here’s a refresher…

2:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. ET – Maria Menounos and Michael Strahan host red carpet pre-game arrivals of various celebrities, including Jennifer Aniston and Adam Sandler. Keith Urban and Maroon 5 perform live.

3:00 p.m. – Animal Planet kicks off its “Puppy Bowl” coverage, which wins annually for Most Adorable Television.

4:30 p.m. – Back on FOX, Bill O’Reilly will interview President Obama.

6:15 p.m. (approx.) - Michael Douglas will voice “Journey to Super Bowl XLV” segment.

TBD - Lea Michele will sing “America the Beautiful.”

TBD - Christina Aguilera will sing the national anthem.

The Black Eyed Peas will perform at halftime, along with Usher and Slash.

“Glee” airs a special episode following the game.

President Barack Obama will be on “The View” on July 29.

It’s the first time ever a sitting president has visited a daytime talk show.

Barbara Walters, who underwent heart valve replacement surgery in May, was scheduled to return to the program in September, but will be in the studio for this special show.

Walters said, “We are so pleased and honored that President Obama will be a guest on ‘The View.’ The President last appeared on the program in March 2008 while he was still a Senator, and First Lady Michelle Obama was a featured guest co-host in June 2008. This shows that both the President and First Lady feel that our show is an influential and important source of information and news.”

The interview will be taped a day earlier, and is slated to touch on such subjects as the economy, the Gulf oil spill, jobs, and family life inside the White House.

Forget the chart-topping hits and multiple Grammy and assorted other music awards wins. Lady Gaga has just added a new milestone to her list of accomplishments.

The “Alejandro” singer just became the first living person to have more than 10 million fans on Facebook.

Woah!

That’s a lot of little monsters!

As Gossip Cop previously reported, Gaga was in a neck-and-neck race with none other than President Barack Obama, but the singer narrowly edged out the Commander-in-Chief earlier today.

President Barack Obama is now entrenched in another war.

And it’s with none other than Lady Gaga.

No, the two aren’t battling over who has more of a flair for fashion.

Obama and Lady Gaga are engaged in a social media war.

The pop star and the president are on their way to becoming the first living person with more than 10 million Facebook fans.

As of earlier today, Gaga trailed Obama with 9,023,966 fans to his 9,058,881 fans, according to CNN.

Still, the two are several million behind Michael Jackson, who died a year ago today and holds the honor of having the most fans for any person, living or dead.

In a wide-ranging interview with People magazine that covered the economy and partisan politics, President Obama finally addressed what Americans are interested in — Tiger Woods.

The president felt Woods can “absolutely” be rehabilitated. Obama added, “I don’t want to comment on his personal relationship with his wife and family, but I’m a strong believer that anybody can look within themselves, find their flaws and fix them.”

Whew!

Oh no, disgraced Illinois Governor Rod Blagojevich, who’s charged with trying to auction off President Barack Obama‘s former U.S. Senate seat, is going to be on the next season of “Celebrity Apprentice.”

Among the others announced to be on the Donald Trump reality competition show, which returns to NBC on March 14, are Sharon Osbourne, former baseball star Darryl Strawberry, Olympic gold medalist Michael Johnson, Cyndi Lauper, Holly Robinson Peete, Victoria’s Secret model Selita Ebanks, Sinbad, comedienne Carol Leifer, wrestler “Goldberg,” wrestler/model Maria Kanellis, Olympic swimmer Summer Sanders, Australian TV chef Curtis Stone, and Bret Michaels, who’s calling himself the “super-underdog.”

The celebrities will, once again, be competing for various charities. Blagojevich will be trying to make money — not for his defense, but rather — for the  Children’s Cancer Center.

Blagojevich attempted last spring to appear on “I’m a Celebrity … Get Me Out of Here,” but was barred by a federal judge, who didn’t want him leaving country to compete in Costa Rica. Instead, his wife Patti Blagojevich appeared on the show.

No, this is not a “Where in the World is Matt Lauer?”

Lauer and Al Roker will host “The Today Show” from Afghanistan tomorrow and Wednesday – just days after President Barack Obama announced he would deploy 30,000 more troops to the war torn country.

Expect to see Roker and Lauer on the ground and in the air with the U.S. forces stationed there. This marks the first time “The Today Show” has broadcast from Afghanistan.

An unnamed TV executive tells the Associated Press the Salahis, who were pictured chatting up the president and also photographed with Vice President Joe Biden, are looking for a payday “in the mid-six figures range.”

Networks don’t openly pay for interviews, but often find ways around it by claiming they are just buying rights to air private photos or video.

Gossip Cop has always found it a bit sketchy when networks “buy the rights” to seemingly ordinary photos and videos for tens — sometimes hundreds — of thousands of dollars, and afterwards magically get that sought after interview, which they then claim was done for free.

The Salahis were slated to appear on “Larry King Live” tomorrow night, but have canceled, giving more credence to the report that they’re not talking for free these days.

But one really has to wonder about the Salahis and their desperate desire to be on TV. As you probably know, Michaele is trying to be chosen for “The Real Housewives of D.C.”

Gossip Cop wants to know: Do you think networks paying for interviews is a big deal or not? And would you watch the Salahis if they were interviewed by one of the networks?

Sheryl Crow, who performed at President Obama’s inauguration, is now petitioning the President and members of Congress to stop a proposed plan to move several thousand wild horses from roaming free in Nevada.

“We are insisting that our government stop managing these beautiful and important animals to extinction,” Crow said in a statement.

The U.S. Bureau of Land Management contends that the growing horse population is damaging the area, and wants to relocate thousands of horses from Nevada to preserves in the Midwest and East. But Crow feels the roundup, slated to start next month and continue through the winter, “is inhumane and must be stopped.”

Joining Crow in the petition are actors Ed Harris and Wendie Malick.
