Kathy Griffin is known for dissing celebrities, but at least some people think she took things too far with a jab at Bristol Palin during “VH1 Divas Salute the Troops.”

Performing for military personnel, Griffin joked that Palin was the only contestant to ever gain weight during “Dancing With the Stars.”

“She’s like the white Precious,” declared Griffin.

Many in the crowd began to boo.

Griffin did manage to win back some of their love by bringing out Snooki and The Situation.

NBC announced “The Jay Leno Show” with great fanfare back in 2008, and after fewer than five months on the air, Jay Leno will call it quits tonight.

For the show’s finale, Leno will have Ashton Kutcher promoting “Valentine’s Day,” “Precious” star Gabourey Sidibe, and Bob Costas will do the “10 at 10″ from Vancouver, where he will host the Winter Olympics, beginning Friday on NBC.

While the Olympics are on, Leno’s studio will be completely redone before he (again) hosts “The Tonight Show,” starting March 1.

“Mariah Carey‘s acting success is more than a sore spot with hubby Nick Cannon,” claims the National Enquirer in a story titled, “Nick Fury at Thesp Mariah.”

Cannon’s really jealous?

According to the tab, Cannon “believed they could make their two-career marriage work,” with him being the actor, and her being the singer.

But, reports the Enquirer, “Mariah’s recent success on the big screen [in "Precious"] has gone to her head… [and] Nick lashed out at her after she rubbed it in his face.”


Conveniently, the magazine has an unnamed source, who adds, “I think it bothers him that Mariah is a hotter film property than he is right now.”

Actually, it’s the contrary. Cannon is quite happy with his wife’s success.

A rep for Carey told Gossip Cop that the Enquirer piece is “totally absurd.”

Sexy singer Robin Thicke and his pregnant wife Paula Patton, who stars in the hit “Precious,” have already picked out baby names. 

“We are working on Julian if it’s a boy, and Isabella if it’s a girl,” Thicke told our good friends at GlobalGrind. Thicke said he didn’t have a preference for the baby’s sex, “just a healthy baby.”

The proud husband added of his wife’s performance in “Precious”: “My wife did a wonderful job.”
