According to a report, Lindsay Lohan, who recently channeled Marilyn Monroe for her Playboy shoot, “may be taking on another screen legend, Elizabeth Taylor.”

Deadline says Lohan is “in talks for the female lead in Lifetime’s original movie Elizabeth & Richard: A Love Story, chronicling the enduring love of movie icons Elizabeth Taylor and Richard Burton,” whose stormy relationship led them to marry and divorce each other twice.

Gossip Cop reached out to a rep for Lohan, who only offered, “We’re not commenting on hearsay.”

Lindsay Lohan still has drawing power.

Especially when she’s naked.

The actress’ much-hyped Playboy magazine sold 55% more advertising pages than the same issue a year ago, according to one industry information service.

In fact, with over 49 ad pages, Lohan is Playboy‘s second-most sponsored celebrity cover model in recent years, behind only Kim Kardashian, whose December 2007 cover sold nearly 57 pages.

For comparison’s sake, Tara Reid sold 33.4 advertising pages in January/February 2010, with Heidi Montag (31.2 in September 2009) and Mariah Carey (29.4 in March 2007) faring similarly.

(It should be noted, however, that not all celebrities who appear on the magazine’s cover actually appear naked in its pages.)

As Gossip Cop reported last weekend, Playboy founder Hugh Hefner said Lohan’s issue was “breaking sales records.”

The success comes even after the photos comprising Lohan’s layout were leaked online in the days before the issue hit newsstands.

It still remains to be seen how well the Lohan issue performs when all is said and done.

HollywoodLife, which has built itself on inaccurate reporting, once again can’t get a story right.

The webloid, which recently fabricated an engagement story involving Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez, WRONGLY reported yesterday that Bieber’s been “spending lots of time at the Playboy mansion,” “has unlimited access” to the place, and even “celebrated his birthday” there.

But being exposed as hacks once isn’t enough for the site, which clearly favors outrageousness over accuracy.

Today, the bad blog has a follow-up tale about why Bieber “loves” going to the Playboy mansion “so often.”

Quoting one of their imaginary friends, HollywoodLife writes, “There are two main reasons he loves [the Playboy mansion] so much. First off, it gives him privacy that he can’t often get from anywhere else and he is never bugged by anyone while there. He loves the game room and just hanging out and loves bringing friends. Also, when he is there, it’s one of the few times that he really feels like a celebrity, so it is a major ego-booster. Selena is also invited anytime she wants as well.”

Of course, HollywoodLife can’t seem to give one example or date of when he’s been at the mansion.

That’s because the story was wrong yesterday.

It’s wrong today.

And it will be wrong again tomorrow.

As Bieber’s own rep tells Gossip Cop, “He has never been” to the Playboy mansion.

“Justin Bieber Spending Lots Of Time At The Playboy Mansion — Should Selena Be Worried?” reads a headline from HollywoodLife.

According to the bad blog, “One of [Bieber’s] favorite pasttimes is hanging out with Hugh Hefner and his Bunnies at the Playboy Mansion.”

But that’s not all.

HollywoodLife says Bieber “has unlimited access to the Playboy Mansion, and isn’t afraid to use it.”

The site even has an unnamed “source” quoted as saying, “Justin is obsessed with the Playboy Mansion,” and notes how he “celebrated his birthday at the infamous mansion earlier this year.”

Really?

He’s “spending lots of time at the Playboy mansion,” “has unlimited access,” “celebrated his birthday” there?

One slight problem: HollywoodLife didn’t spend one second fact-checking this story.

Otherwise, they would have realized Bieber has spent ZERO time at the Playboy mansion.

His rep tells Gossip Cop, “He has never been there.”

And that’s the naked truth.

Even though pictures from the Lindsay Lohan issue of Playboy leaked online early, the magazine is selling BIG.

Hugh Hefner had initially been so concerned that the leak would hurt sales, he moved the magazine’s release date up to get it quickly on newsstands.

Well, it seems the leak and Lohan not promoting the issue on the “Ellen DeGeneres Show” the way she was supposed to didn’t affect the sales too much.

Hefner just tweeted, “The Lindsay Lohan January-February Double Issue is breaking sales records.”

Gossip Cop has similarly learned that many newsstands have run out of the magazine, and that people have bought multiple copies of it.

The graphic Lohan photos were inspired by Marilyn Monroe’s shoot for Playboy.

As you may have heard, Lindsay Lohan‘s nude pictorial for Playboy leaked online on Friday.

The release led Hugh Hefner to announce that the holiday issue containing Lohan’s Marilyn Monroe-themed pics would get an earlier publication date than planned.

But besides the nude photos, there’s also an interview with Lohan!

So, what does she say?

“I have no idea why there is this fascination with everything I do,” Lohan says of the tabloid frenzy that follows her everywhere. “I suppose it’s all part of this trend of people wanting to know every detail of a celebrity’s life.”

She continues, “I mean, once we get to the point where magazines are doing pictorials on the clothes I wore in court – that’s just so unimportant.”

Lohan also addresses the decision to pose naked.

“Sex and sexuality are a part of nature, and I go along with nature,” she explains. “I think Marilyn Monroe said that, and I agree with her. Knowing your body and being in touch with your body is important because it gives you confidence, and in life, women need confidence.”

Lohan elaborates, “It’s a very male-dominated world, so knowing yourself and being comfortable with your body is an important thing for me as a woman. Everyone is entitled to their opinion, but that’s mine.”

The actress reflects on her mistakes, as well.

“Looking back, I probably would have listened to and taken more advice from the people I admire and would have followed through with it more, but my stubbornness at 18 and 19 got in the way.”

She adds, “I’ve learned that time flies faster than you think, and because you only live once you have to learn from your mistakes.”

Hours after all 10 photos from Lindsay Lohan‘s upcoming nude spread in the January/February edition of Playboy leaked online, Hugh Hefner announced the publication’s release date has been moved up.

“Because of the interest & the Internet leak, we’re releasing the Lindsay Lohan issue early,” Hefner tweeted.

“Her issue goes on sale late next week,” he added. “Hot. Hot. Hot.”

As Gossip Cop reported earlier, the graphic Marilyn Monroe-inspired photos weren’t supposed to be revealed until December 15, with the entire issue hitting newsstands soon after.

Hefner, noting the leaked images were already causing “a sensation,” tweeted that he still expects the issue will “be a true Collector’s Edition.”

As for how the leak happened, a rep for Playboy told Gossip Cop, “Someone took photos of Lindsay’s pictorial in an advanced copy of the January/February issue.”

“They posted the photos online without permission,” the spokesperson added.

Lindsay Lohan‘s nude Playboy photos have leaked.

They are (obviously) graphic.

The 10 uncensored pictures are available on various websites.

Gossip Cop has reached out to Playboy for comment on how the pictures got out ahead of publication.

A rep for the magazine tells us simply, “Someone took photos of Lindsay’s pictorial in an advanced copy of the January/February issue. They posted the photos online without permission.”

Lohan was supposed to reveal the pictorial, inspired by Marilyn Monroe, on December 15.

The leaked photos show that Playboy photoshopped many of Lohan’s freckles and tattoos out of the pictures.

Lindsay Lohan now has a million dollar smile to go with the nearly $1 million she’s pocketing for doing a Playboy spread.

Yesterday, the actress posted a photo of herself with shiny white teeth, along with a note thanking a celebrity dentist for fixing her chompers.

Just a couple of weeks ago, Lohan got slammed by other sites for having yellow, decaying-looking teeth.

Now, she’s smooth out her teeth and made them pearly white with the help of Dr. Bill Dorfman.

In the background, one can’t help but notice that Lohan is still smoking cigarettes, which will probably discolor her pretty new teeth.

It’s unclear whether Lohan got her fangs fixed for her Wednesday’s court hearing during which she may be sentenced to a year and a half behind bars (though highly unlikely), or for more work on her Playboy pictorial.

Lindsay Lohan is taking it off for an upcoming issue of Playboy, Gossip Cop has learned.

In fact, we’re told the actress has already shot part of the nude pictorial, and is raking in nearly $1 million for posing in the buff.

When asked about the spread, a rep for Lohan only said, “I cannot confirm or deny” she’s stripping for the mag.

This isn’t the first time Playboy has come after Lohan. Back in 2009, Gossip Cop confirmed that the men’s mag offered her $1 million, but she wasn’t interested at the time.

In between shedding her clothes for Playboy, Lohan has been logging in hours at the Los Angeles County Morgue to fulfill some of her court-mandated community service.

Jason Biggs became a star through the sexual hijinks of American Pie.

It looks like his real life might be just as wild.

The actor’s wife, Jenny Mollen, has written a (very detailed) blog entry about the couple hiring a hooker and posted it to The Smoking Jacket, a Playboy-operated site.

“So my husband and I got a whore,” begins the article, which goes on to outline how she arranged a sexual liaison for herself, Biggs and a prostitute.

After two disappointing attempts – one with a masseuse and the other with a “munchkin” – the couple finally hits pay dirt with a lovely lady named Keisha.

According to Mollen, the experience “rekindled” something between her and Biggs.

While it’s written in a humorous style, the piece is shockingly candid in its discussion of a Hollywood actor’s love life.

Biggs isn’t running from it, either.

He tweeted a link to the article, writing, “My wife is in Playboy. Hot.”

Mercede Johnston was just getting warmed up when she called Bristol Palin “evil” and a “sociopath.”

Levi‘s sister hammers his baby mama and her family throughout her new interview in Playboy, saying her “manipulative” almost-sister-in-law would “use sex to get her way on many things.”

“I don’t think Bristol wanted to be with him whatsoever, not at all,” Mercede says of the couple’s brief 2010 reunion. “It was all about her using her body to get Levi to retract his statements, and it worked.”

According to Johnston, Bristol “doesn’t think anything she could do or does is wrong.”

She claims Bristol sent her a Valentine’s Day text message reading, “I hope it was worth it having Lenisha [one of Levi's exes] at your house ’cause you’re never gonna f*cking see your nephew again, b*tch.”

Perhaps Johnston’s biggest allegation is about Bristol’s brother Track Palin, who she claims “would do a lot of drugs.”

“He did OxyContin and mostly cocaine,” says Johnston. “He didn’t choose to go into the Army; he went there because his mom made him, to get him out of the way so when she was at the convention they wouldn’t know he does drugs and would think he was a patriot. It’s a front.”

As for Sarah Palin, Johnston says former governor “doesn’t make her kids go to school… She’d rather parade them around and put on a show at book signings or conventions.”

“The truth about the Palins will come out,” says Johnston. “If everybody who truly knew the Palins would speak up, people would not still think Sarah’s a good person. But they’re afraid to because the Palins have so much money they could do almost anything.”

Johnston’s Playboy interview is accompanied by racy photos.

We’re pretty sure Johnston will be on the Palins’ Christmas card list this year.

Levi Johnston‘s sister Mercede posed nude for the September issue of Playboy, but her shocking interview makes the racy photos seem demure by comparison.

In excerpts obtained by TMZ, Johnton blasts the entire Palin family, calling her brother’s ex Bristol Palin a “sociopath” and predicting that Sarah Palin would have a “mental breakdown” if she were ever elected president.

The nineteen-year-old also makes contradictory claims about Bristol’s pregnancy, first saying she and Levi “planned” on having son Tripp, and then alleging that Bristol sent Levi a text message that read, “Ever since the moment I found out I was pregnant, I prayed to God you weren’t the father.”

Of Bristol, Johnston says, “She’s the meanest person…I didn’t know someone could be so vindictive and evil …[She's] a sociopath. She doesn’t think anything she could do or does is wrong.”

Johnston also calls Sarah Palin a bad mom who’s “never there” for her kids.

The Playboy mogul tweeted, “Crystal did a crazy interview with Howard Stern today that didn’t have much to do with reality. Is she trying to impress a new boyfriend?”

In the segment, Harris told Stern that she never saw Hefner naked and was disgusted by their sex life, saying, “[It lasted] like, two seconds… I’m not turned on by Hef. Sorry.”

But Hefner says it’s all lies.

He tweeted, “The sex with Crystal the first night was good enough so that I kept her over two more nights.”

“Crystal lied about our relationship on Howard Stern but I don’t know why,” he added.

Harris partied with Heidi Montag on her would-be wedding day, and later tried to hawk her engagement ring.

Hugh Hefner is the latest victim of a sick death HOAX.

Rumors of the Playboy founder’s demise circulated on Twitter and Facebook, as have many other fake celebrity death reports.

This one is 100% false.

Hefner is alive and well.

“The rumors of my death are, as Mark Twain observed in a similar situation, greatly exaggerated,” tweeted Hef. “I’m very much alive & kicking.”

In fact, he’s doing pretty well.

“I’m lying in bed next to Shera with a big smile on my face, reading tweets about my unexpected demise,” wrote Hefner.

Hugh Hefner may have been ditched by fiancee Crystal Harris just days before their wedding, but the Playboy king will have the last laugh.

Although it’s too late to redo Playboy‘s July cover, which features Harris under the headline, “Introducing Mrs. Crystal Hefner,” Hef has altered the cover with a large red sticker reading, “Runaway Bride.”

He said, “Recent events call for a special sticker on the July cover. Look for it on newsstands.”

Issues sent to subscribers, however, were already shipped out and will not have the sticker.

On Tuesday, the magazine mogul confirmed the wedding was off, tweeting, “Crystal has had a change of heart.”

While Hef seems truly heartbroken about Harris’ decision, it’s nice to see he’s still maintaining a sense of humor about the situation.

Just a day after news broke that Crystal Harris had called off her wedding to Hugh Hefner, she talked to Ryan Seacrest about what happened.

The Playboy Playmate told Seacrest on his KIIS-FM radio show that there wasn’t a “nasty argument,” as widely reported. “There was no fight, we sat down and we talked about it,” said Harris. ”It was mutual between Hef and I.”

According to Harris, who is 60 years younger than Hefner, “For a while I’ve been having second thoughts about everything. I haven’t really been at peace with myself lately. I didn’t think it was really fair to him.”

She even acknowledged that the twice wedded Playboy founder didn’t want to get married either. “He was doing it for me because he thought it was what I wanted,” admitted Harris, noting “Hef’s lifestyle isn’t the most normal lifestyle,” and often involves “multiple girls.”

She added, “I respect him more than anything, and we’re still going to be really close.”

As for Hef, late last night he showed that he still has a sense of humor, even if it’s a bit darker this week.

“Since we’re not getting married on Saturday, I’ve scheduled a movie: ‘Runaway Bride,’” he tweeted. “Seems appropriate.”

Like most octogenarians dumped by their 25-year-old fiancées days before their wedding, Hugh Hefner shared his thoughts and emotions on Twitter.

In the hours after news broke that Crystal Harris ended their engagement, the Playboy founder opened up in a series of tweets that showed him disappointed but resilient.

“The breakup is a heart breaker, but better now than after the marriage,” wrote Hefner.

The publishing icon rejected “the TMZ report that Crystal & I ‘had a nasty argument,’” saying, “There were no arguments.”

In fact, Hefner doesn’t seem to have any ill will toward Harris, even mentioning that her single “Club Queen” was now available on iTunes. “I hope it’s a hit,” said her ex.

Hefner got “emotional support” from ex-wife Kim Conrad and Bridget Marquardt, along with other old companions. But he seemed sad that he didn’t have a certain furry friend at his side.

“Crystal took Charlie [the dog] with her when she left & I really miss him,” said Hefner.

If nothing else, Hef showed that he still has a sense of humor, even if it’s a bit darker this week.

Justin Timberlake goes in depth with Playboy about his own career in a new interview, but the singer-actor also had some interesting opinions about other superstars.

“Let’s talk about Lady Gaga for a minute,” says Timberlake. “She’s a force. Beyond awesome…. If I were Lady Gaga, I’d do whatever I wanted, which it looks like she’s doing. She’s just plain old good.”

The former boy bander also thinks highly of Justin Bieber, but warns him to keep his eyes on the future.

“He’s obviously a talented kid,” reflects Timberlake. “I just hope he has a good support system, because I think back on myself wearing the cornrows. It’s awkward growing up in front of the public.”

“[Bieber's mentor Usher] will teach him that you can’t just ride this out,” he adds. “You need to have somewhere to go. You need to have a plan, and somebody like Justin Bieber should be thinking about that right now.”

“Otherwise, before you know it, there’s going to be some kid who’s younger than you.”

Timberlake also blasts a spate of unflattering Internet videos comparing early performances by his ex Britney Spears with current ones.

“What a f**ked-up thing to do,” says Timberlake, calling the Internet a “cruel place.”

“People think they can say anything and it doesn’t matter to people. I’d love to see the people who comment about Britney online say those things to her face, because they couldn’t.”

In Touch‘s cover story is particularly shameless this week, featuring a bait-and-switch that implies Kendra Wilkinson and Hank Baskett‘s relationship is unraveling thanks to infidelity.

They’ve been “torn apart by another woman,” declares the tabloid, which claims that Playboy Playmate Jessica Hall has forced a “humiliated Kendra” to leave Baskett.

The clear insinuation is that Baskett and Hall were “caught” together.

In actuality, the magazine story alleges that Wilkinson was the one whose (supposed) liaison with Hall has pushed her marriage to “its most vulnerable point ever.”

A so-called “witness” tells In Touch that “Kendra and Jessica really started getting crazy” while partying together at the MGM Grand’s Wet Republic in Las Vegas. Their supposed “full-on, raunchy makeout session” left patrons staring and Baskett, when he heard about it, “not amused.”

The football player was “still steaming over [Wilkinson's] escapades in Vegas” when he declined to show up at her “Dancing with the Stars” results show after she returned from her vacation.

According to In Touch, Wilkinson’s PDA with Hall is part of a larger pattern of wild behavior that’s driving Baskett crazy.

As a tab “source” explains, “the more Hank tries to control Kendra, the more she wants to escape… that, of course, leads to more fights, as Hank tries to lay down the law.”

All of this is fascinating but totally bogus – just like the In Touch cover story screaming about the couple’s alleged “divorce drama” more than three months ago.

Despite the magazine’s best efforts to drive Wilkinson and Baskett apart, an insider close to the couple tells Gossip Cop they remain perfectly happy.

Braxton tweeted, “New Year, New opportunities. So I have been considering taking up Playboy’s offer to feature me on their cover this year.”

She added that she’s been asked to pose “3 times before,” and the the spread would be “tastefully done” and feature “a lil T and A.”

The “Unbreak My Heart” singer has been in financial trouble for some time now. In her October 2009 bankruptcy filing, Braxton estimated she’s somewhere between $10 and $50 million in debt.

Hugh Hefner popped the question to his Playmate girlfriend Crystal Harris on Christmas Eve.

“After the movie tonight, Crystal & I exchanged gifts. I gave Crystal a ring. A truly memorable Christmas Eve,” tweeted the 84-year-old Playboy founder.

Harris, who’s 60 years younger than Hefner, then wrote, “The most memorable Christmas ever.”

Since Hef didn’t specify the gift was actually an engagement ring, it was a little unclear whether or not he popped the question. That’s why he followed up several hours later with another tweet: “Yes, the ring I gave Crystal is an engagement ring. I didn’t mean to make a mystery out of it.”

Hefner has been married twice before.

The web began to buzz with rumors about Miley Cyrus and Playboy.

It all began when Playboy founder Hugh Hefner was interviewed by Fox News about a variety of subjects, including Cyrus.

When asked whether “any offers were on the table” for her to appear in the pages of Playboy, Hefner replied, “The simple answer is she is the one that you and all the other readers would like to see.”

So is Cyrus, who just turned 18, going to be in Playboy?

A source tells Gossip Cop that while Hefner would like her to be in the men’s mag, Cyrus is not going to take it off for Playboy.

Oksana Grigorieva has turned down a reported offer from Playboy to pose naked.

“It’s never going to happen,” her rep tells Gossip Cop. “Not for any amount of money.”

According to earlier reports, the magazine was prepared to offer Grigorieva $75,000 for a “full nude” spread and appearance on the cover.

In an unrelated story, her estranged ex, Mel Gibson, recently finished filming The Beaver.
