“Insiders confirm that the pair ‘are dating again,’ and that the actress has been shacking up at his condo in El Lay!” he adds.

So, what does Hewitt have to say about the big reunion?

“Sorry not true,” the actress wrote on Twitter after a fan mentioned Perez’s post.

She added, “The rumors are not true, the day was good,and sweet dreams will be awesome!”

According to the facts-challenged blogger, “Chaz is thinking of taking a more active approach with his love life … by starring in a Bachelor-like reality series!”

Citing a so-called “source,” Perez then reports “producers have approached him about doing a dating-type show and ‘he is all for it.’”

The hitch?

Bono’s mom “Cher is advising him against the idea.”

“Supposedly, she’s afraid her son has become obsessed with being a ‘celebrity,’” Perez explains, adding, “she is afraid that being on a reality show like this will just end in heartache and embarrassment.”

Actually, the only one who should be embarrassed is Perez, for floating this completely bogus rumor.

A rep for Bono tells Gossip Cop that Perez’s claims are 100 percent “false.”

Perez Hilton is the victim of a death hoax.

On Monday, a bogus rumor that the gossip blogger – who’s become a celebrity in his own right – had died spread like wildfire on Twitter.

The hoax apparently began as a disgusting fake “CNN” retweet.

“RIP Perez Hilton” became a trending topic, only further fueling speculation.

It is 100% false.

Hilton is alive and well.

These unfunny, upsetting Twitter death rumors have got to stop.

Mind-bendingly bad gossip blogger Perez Hilton has struck again, this time with a particularly shameful piece of “reporting.”

Early Wednesday, Hilton spread a totally bogus rumor about Demi Lovato going back to rehab – a baseless allegation that Gossip Cop already debunked as a total “crock of sh*t.”

But the blogger happily repeated the false claim – based on a blind item – suggesting that Lovato is “leading a double life” and “abusing drugs.”

Again: based on nothing.

Then, just 40 minutes after breathlessly spreading the fabrication, Hilton falsely claimed to have an “exclusive” that Lovato is not going back to rehab.

It’s not an “exclusive” when Gossip Cop had it the day before.

In other words, Hilton managed to smear Lovato, flip flop and take credit for an exclusive that was not his, all in under an hour.

Maybe Hilton should stick to doing what he does best: Reporting year-old news and making up stories that don’t involve accusations of drug use.

“Are Michael C. Hall & Jennifer Carpenter giving their relationship another go?” asks Perez Hilton, who rarely has any answers.

According to the clueless blogger, the “Dexter” co-stars were spotted having a “romantic” dinner Tuesday at the Peninsula Hotel in Beverly Hills.

He writes, “Considering that the pair abruptly ended their two year marriage last year… it was surprising to see the pair looking so … friendly!”

In fact, Perez goes on to claim the two were “much more than friendly.”

In addition to the former couple supposedly holding hands, a so-called “eyewitness” says, “At one point, Michael leaned across the table and he and Jennifer kissed — a make-out kind of kiss, not a friendly one.”

Perez theorizes, “Maybe they just can’t fight a love like theirs!”

Or maybe it’s time for the blogger to find a new “spy”?

A rep for Hall tells Gossip Cop Perez’s “reporting is inaccurate,” while a rep for Carpenter adds the actress “was not at The Peninsula Hotel on Tuesday night.”

Regardless, a source close to both stars says the two are just “friends” these days.

Perez “Scoop” Hilton strikes again!

The facts-challenged blogger breathlessly posted a story about Jennifer Aniston giving Taylor Swift “love advice” at last week’s People’s Choice Awards.

Perez says Aniston told Swift to “hang in there” and that “everything is gonna be okay.”

“They’ve reportedly never met before, but the source says Jen just had to tell her since she knows about it from experience,” explains the blogger.

He adds, “Hmm… inneresting… we’re not sure if we buy this or not…”

Ha!

Perez isn’t sure if he “buys” this story?

Well, here’s a good reason not to “buy” anything Perez is selling – he just cut and pasted a story from last year.

If Perez paid any attention to actual news, he’d know that Aniston and Swift did not even attend this year’s awards.

Of course, when a site’s primary strategy is to cut and paste stories without bothering to read them first, it’s no surprise that silly details like THE YEAR will fall through the cracks.

“Lindsay Lohan Might Actually HAVE New Year’s Eve Plans… IN DUBAI!” blares a headline from Perez Hilton, who just one day earlier regurgitated the story that the actress was lying low on the hard-partying holiday.

Perez writes, “Although it’s being reported that the former hard-pAArtying actress had turned down six-figure paychecks to stay out of the limelight on New Year’s Eve, we’ve now heard that she may, in fact, be ringing in 2012 in Dubai on board the Queen Elizabeth 2, which is hosting a black tie affair while it’s docked at the Port Rashid Cruise Terminal!”

The clueless blogger chides, “WTF, gurl? What happened?” adding, “First you say that you’re taking your probation seriously, now you’re cashing on the New Year harder than Garry Marshall!”

Oh, Perez.

If only the blogger took his reporting seriously, he would have known the Dubai story was just a bogus publicity plug from an overseas party planning company.

Lohan will NOT be hosting the Dubai party — or any other — on New Year’s Eve, a source close to the actress assures Gossip Cop.

As we previously reported, Lohan has already turned down multiple offers to host New Year’s Eve celebrations, and will spend the holiday with friends and family in L.A.

“EXCLUSIVE! Has Taylor Swift Found A New Beau???” reads the headline of a piece from Perez Hilton.

According to the blogger, Swift spent Thanksgiving in Nashville, where “she spent time with some ‘friends,’ including Will Anderson from Parachute.

Perez goes on to say he hears “exclusively that Taylor and Will are MORE than just friends!!!!” and adds, that “whenever T-Swizz is in Nashville, she spends ‘at least 3-4 times a week’ at Will’s house.”

What’s more, claims Perez, is that he’s “been informed that the two made snowglobes together! How romantic!”

Not enough?

Perez even says that at some unknown concert, Anderson told the crowd he wrote the song, “White Dress” for a “good friend” who’s a singer.

But before you call a caterer and book a chapel, Gossip Cop looked into this report, and while it’s true Swift and Anderson hang out, they are not dating.

A source close to Swift tells us the Parachute singer is “just a friend.”

According to the blogger, Hough and Scherzinger were spotted “sucking face at the opening of Greystone Manor Supperclub in L.A.”

He goes on to blather that ever “since Nicole broke up with race car driver Lewis Hamilton, Derek 100 percent acts like her boyfriend.”

Interesting.

And Perez is 100 percent ”wrong,” says a spokesperson for Hough.

Scherzinger’s rep also tells Gossip Cop there’s ”no truth” to Perez’s piece.

“While Prince Harry trains in a heavily Christian town in Arizona, he’s been told it’s best if he keeps his hands to himself,” reports Perez Hilton, who claims the mayor of Gila Bend, Arizona has “warned” the royal against having sex with the local ladies.

The blogger, picking up on a story from the Daily Mail, says, “The small town’s mayor warns HarBear of the many shotgun-wielding fathers in town, and if he were to ‘get to know’ any of the ladies, he’d be stepping on some hot sand!”

Mayor Ron Henry supposedly told the paper, “Some of the dads won’t take too kindly to a Prince fornicating the night away and drinking into the small hours. It is a very quiet town with a lot of good Christian people.”

“This isn’t a party town. I would advise the Prince to take in the beautiful sights of the desert instead,” the Mail quotes him as saying.

But now Mayor Henry is blasting the tabloid reports, saying that he was completely misquoted.

“I am deeply saddened that comments written by the Daily Mail were not only taken out of context but also total fabrications,” says the mayor in a statement.

“In fact, the negative comments were the words of the reporter who chose to sensationalize and fabricate a story rather than report the truth. I would never make such outlandish comments.”

He continues, “We have tremendous respect and adoration for Prince Harry and the Royal Family. We are excited, proud and honored to have him in our community.”

Perez just made a royal you-know-what of himself again.

Are Zac Efron and Vanessa Hudgens “back on?” asks Perez Hilton.

According to the blogger, the former couple “may be on their way to [a] reconciliation” as they were recently “seen partying together at Eden, a nightclub in Hollywood.”

Perez quotes an alleged “spy” as saying that Hudgens was “bopping around with her arms up while Zac had his hands all over her!”

“The two were inseparable,” notes the source, adding, “Zac sat in between her legs and she wrapped her arms around him.”

“And the freakin’ PDA doesn’t stop there!” scribbles Perez. “Apparently, there was some kissing going on as well towards the end of the night! KISSING!!!”

This all did happen… LAST JANUARY.

Somehow or another, the behind-the-times blogger reported this 10-months-old night together as a current ”reconciliation.”

Whoops.

“Taylor Armstrong Close to DWTS Deal!” reads the giddy headline of a Perez Hilton story which he picked up from an equally unreliable site that’s read by virtually no one.

Still, without even fact-checking, Perez gobbled up the webloid’s story that the “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” star is “super close to sealing a deal for the upcoming season” of “Dancing with the Stars.”

Perhaps the rationale was that it’s worth reporting anything about Armstrong in the wake of her husband Russell‘s shocking suicide, even if there’s absolutely nothing to the rumor.

Last week, there was the 100% untrue report that Armstrong had been fired from “Housewives.”

Regardless, since Gossip Cop is the only site that separate facts from fiction in celebrity reporting, we looked into this, and a source connected to the show assures us, “It’s total bulls–t. Not true.”

Like Armstrong’s supposed “deal,” Perez’s story and similar tabloid reports are not even “close.”

Perez says Gyllenhaal “was spotted at the 49th annual New York Film Festival premiere of The Descendants with a mysterious lady friend!”

“Well done, boy!” says an enthusiastic Perez, begging, “Now spill the deets!”

Unlike the blogger, Gossip Cop actually bothered to find out “the deets,” which are unfortunately not as “seksi” as Perez had hoped.

We’ve learned the woman pictured with Gyllenhaal is his childhood friend, Vena Cava designer Sophie Buhia.

“Do NOT Ask Kelsey Grammer About His Ex-Wife Camille!” blares a headline from Perez Hilton, who says “following an appearance on the Australian morning TV show Sunrise, Kelsey lashed out at the show’s producer Mark Beirne after being asked about his ex-wife on air.”

According to Perez, Grammer “blew up” at the producer after the segment, reportedly telling him, “You are a vile person, a sick dog. Your life must be tragic. I feel sorry for you.”

The blogger editorializes, “Look, Kelsey. We understand that it must be frustrating to constantly be asked about your divorce, especially when you’re trying to promote a new project, but it’s naive of you to think that people won’t bring it up.”

Adds Perez, “If you’re going to do the talk show circuit, you either need to make it EXTREMELY clear beforehand that Camille is a taboo subject… Don’t be a jerk about it, though.”

But, once again, Perez is offering his two cents on something he knows absolutely nothing about.

Had Perez actually read the story that he copied for his blog, he would have known that it was not the questions about his ex-wife that upset Grammer.

As the star’s rep explains to Gossip Cop, Grammer thought it was inappropriate that the Aussie morning show aired clips of Camille discussing him on “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” during his interview.

Since Grammer’s wife, Kayte Walsh, was there for the taping, the actor found this “not only rude, but out of line,” says the rep, and so he asked to speak about the matter directly to the producer, who refused his request.

It was then that Grammer got fed up and exchanged words with the producer.

While it’s clear Grammer’s temper got the best of him, it seems he had reason to be upset.

Maybe the next time Perez lifts a story, he should try actually reading it first.

Lindsay Lohan is the latest victim of Perez Hilton‘s reckless sensationalism, with the blogger desperately trying to stir controversy by suggesting that the actress is cutting herself.

Perez takes a picture of Lohan from a Paris Fashion Week event and draws an arrow pointing to what he calls a “disturbing image” of a “fresh scar” on the star’s left arm.

“We’ve seen that kind of scar before,” writes Perez. “We’ve seen that kind of scar on HER before. We have a deep, dark feeling we know exactly what is going on – and we want it to stop.”

Actually, he has NO clue what’s going on.

There’s a minor, barely visible scratch below Lohan’s elbow.

You have to work pretty hard to turn a tiny scrape that no one else even noticed into a warning sign of serious self-mutilation, and that’s exactly what Perez does, hoping to turn Lohan into a cutter.

He scolds, “Honey, what is wrong with you? Why aren’t you getting any better? Why are you still the hottest mess of the Western Hemisphere? What’s it going to take to get you back on the right track???”

Those questions, of course, are better directed at Perez himself.

Self-harm is a real and grave issue for young people everywhere.

Women like Demi Lovato speak about their experiences in the hopes that they can help others from going down a similar path.

Perez, meanwhile, trivializes cutting to take a cheap shot at Lindsay Lohan.

Lohan tells Gossip Cop the blogger is 100% wrong with his cutter allegations, saying, “That’s crazy.”

“Has Leonardo DiCaprio ALSO Moved On???” asks Perez Hilton, who reported earlier today that the Titanic star’s ex Blake Lively “has already moved on from Leo to Ryan Reynolds!”

According to the bad blogger, “Leo has ALSO moved on with former Australia’s Next Top Model contestant Alyce Crawford.”

He even quotes a so-called “source” as saying, “It’s been going on about two weeks. [DiCaprio] texts her when he wants to see her and they hook up a few times a week.”

Even though Crawford herself says she and DiCaprio are “just friends,” Perez counters, “We’re not buying it! We know Leo’s history with models… Admit it, Leo! Both you and Blake have jumped full speed into reboundlationships!”

How about, admit it, Perez, you know nothing about celebrities.

First, as Gossip Cop reported earlier today, despite Perez’s inaccurate reporting, Lively and Reynolds are NOT dating.

Nor does DiCaprio “hook up” with Crawford.

A close friend of the actor assures Gossip Cop that Perez’s story is “false,” and “just because [DiCaprio] talked to someone doesn’t mean anything.”

Paul McCartney and Nancy Shevell “will be getting married at his farmhouse in Sussex, England THIS WEEKEND!!!!” reports Perez Hilton, who notes, “We knew this was coming soon, but WOW! That. Was. Fast.”

The blogger claims that “sources confirmed” the nuptials will take place the weekend of September 17, quoting one alleged insider as saying, “It will be a small intimate wedding. It’s going to be very elegant and classic.”

Not so fast, Perez.

McCartney and Shevell have only just given notice at London’s Westminster Register Office of their intention to marry, which means they’re required to wait a minimum of 16 days before they can tie the knot.

Therefore, the earliest date the couple may wed is September 30.

Once again, Perez jumps the gun.

According to the blogger, volunteers at the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) were “forced to face a wall upon Madonna’s entrance backstage.”

A horrified Perez exclaims, “WOW!!!” and editorializes, “This just sounds horrible!”

Wow, Perez’s reporting is horrible.

Gossip Cop, however, reached out to Madonna’s people to get to the bottom of this.

The superstar’s rep tells us, “This would NEVER had been mandated by Madonna or her security,” noting that if it really did happen, the “TIFF people did it.”

Perez Hilton has a long, rich history of calling women pregnant when they aren’t, and now he’s added another to the list.

Never one for tact, the blogger draws a big arrow on Alyson Hannigan‘s belly in a picture featuring the “How I Met Your Mother” actress, her husband, Alexis Denisof, and their two-year-old daughter, Satyana.

“ZOMG! This could be WONDERFUL news!” writes Hilton, pointing out “what looks to be a pretty noticeable baby bump under a loose-fitting shirt!”

“Little Satyana must be THRILLED that she’s going to be an older sister!” presumes the blogger.

Oops.

Unfortunately for Perez, Hannigan is not pregnant.

Fortunately, she does have a sense of humor about the whole thing.

“NO, I’m not pregnant! I just ate too much carnival food, that time of the month, hurt my back & couldn’t suck my gut in, & need 2 do cardio!” she tweets. “And I’m NEVER gonna wear that shirt again!!!”

We’re a day late, but Happy Anniversary, Perez Hilton!

Back in August 2007, the blogger infamously posted an exclusive claiming Fidel Castro had died.

“Sources reveal exclusively to PerezHilton.com that U.S. officials will be holding a press conference shortly to announce the death of Cuban dictator Fidel Castro,” he announced.

We’re, um, still waiting for that press conference.

The funniest part about Hilton’s “reporting” that day was that he later doubled (and quadrupled) down on his 100% wrong bet.

“The announcement of Fidel Castro’s death will be made at approximately 4:00 P.M. Eastern, PerezHilton.com has just been updated exclusively,” wrote the blogger in an update.

After being proven wrong, a defiant Hilton posted a third story claiming Castro was dead.

It’s now four years later.

Fidel Castro is still alive.

Perez Hilton is still dead wrong.

“Chris Brown Throws Another Homophobic, Hate-Filled Temper Tantrum in Las Vegas!” exclaims a headline from Perez Hilton, who lifted his story from RadarOnline.

According to the Perez story via RadarOnline, Brown ”dropped a particularly not-so-pleasant, extremely offensive gay slur at the bouncers – and apparently, all for no reason!”

Quoting RadarOnline’s so-called “source,” Perez writes, “Chris Brown went crazy again in Vegas last night. He called the manager and the bouncers f**gots and broke a bottle in his fit of anger! He just went off on them. He called them d**ks and told one dude to suck his d**k!”

Perez then reprints some tweets from Brown in which he said, ”To everybody: never go to club XS in Vegas! They are d**ks.”

But did all of that really happen?

NO.

There was NO broken bottle. NO homophobic slurs.

The real reason Brown later tweeted that “they are d**ks” at XS, says an insider, was that the bouncers “tried to prevent Chris’ security from entering the club” because of dress code issues.

A rep for Brown also confirms the tale is “not true.”

Actually, this was among the handful of stories today that RadarOnline posted and later pulled down because their reporting was so WRONG.

You’ll recall, just last month RadarOnline claimed Brown made anti-gay slurs during a basketball game, but that story was also fictitious. As Gossip Cop reported, on the day RadarOnline said Brown made the alleged homophobic remarks on the basketball court, the rapper was actually working elsewhere on a music video.

“EXCLUSIVE! Jessica Simpson Is Soooo Not Preggers!” exclaims a headline today from Perez Hilton, the same guy who wrongly started the pregnancy rumor in November and repeated his off-base guesswork information again in December.

So how did Perez come to this “exclusive” that she’s not pregnant — something Gossip Cop has been reporting for months, and again just two weeks ago?

According to the blogger, who is often soooo not accurate, Simpson was boozing it up at an Adele concert in L.A. last night.

“Lots of drunken swaying and singing and falling; she had herself a real good time,” writes Perez.

Really?

Not so, says Simpson herself.

She took to Twitter to correct the record: “There are rumors that I was ‘drunk swaying’ at the Adele concert last night. That wasn’t drunk swaying, that was professional dancing!”

If only Perez knew a thing or two about professional journalism.

Adam Sandler is “trying to remake Three Men and a Baby,” says Perez Hilton, who picks up and spreads rumors like it’s going out of style.

According to the report, the movie “will supposedly center on three gay men who become guardians to an infant child,” with Sandler pals Chris Rock, Rob Schneider and David Spade said to be interested in playing the trio.

We should note at this point that Perez Hilton is the same person who recently claimed Suri Cruise was starring in Rock of Ages and thought Clint Eastwood was making a musical about J. Edgar Hoover with Beyonce.

In other words, he has absolutely no idea what’s actually happening in Hollywood.

He’s just as wrong on this Sandler remake story.

Perez Hilton doesn’t want you to think Justin Timberlake is such a nice guy.

The gullible blogger is spreading yet another wrong rumor, this one involving some alleged “diva” recent behavior by Timberlake.

According to the story, Timberlake and Mila Kunis were both “spotted pAArtying” on the rooftop of The Standard Hotel in New York.

“Sources at the event claim that around 1am, JT decided he was [tired], so he had a hotel security guard remove three female guests from an elevator they were already getting into and claim it was ‘maintenance issues,’” writes Perez.

Once the women left, allege the “sources,” the guard radioed that it “was now clear for Mr. Timberlake to use.”

Wow, that would seem pretty diva-ish… if it were the least bit true.

But it’s not.

A source close to Timberlake tells Gossip Cop, “This never happened.”

“Pauly D Needs An Intern, Grenades Or Landmines Need Not Apply,” reads the headline of a piece on Perez Hilton‘s equally poorly reported sister site, Coco Perez.

According to the blogger, “Jersey Shore‘s DJ Pauly D is on the prowl for an intern to help launch his Dirty Couture clothing line and apparently you have to be good looking and willing to work for free.”

Really?

Perez even quotes a posting on Craigslist that says, “Want to help DJ Pauly D launch his clothing line, Dirty Couture? We are looking for guys and girls in the NYC/ NJ area… Must be enrolled in college for the Fall 2011 semester or just graduated from college and must have own transportation and be willing to travel… Please send resume and photo to us.”

Perez then explains, “In other words, if you’re a: grenade, landmine, grenade launcher, submarine, tank, hippo, or busted you’re probably better off applying elsewhere.”

That’s all very interesting, but the Criagslist posting that claims Pauly D is looking for interns is a FAKE.

A rep for DJ Pauly D tells Gossip Cop exclusively that he’s “currently in production for ‘Jersey Shore,’ and did not post any listings on Craiglist nor did any members of his team.”

Additionally, the fake posting, which Perez fell for, has since been taken down.

Another Perez story that explodes like… a grenade.

“EXCLUSIVE! Zac Efron Out With A New Lady… Rumer Willis!” exclaims an excitable Perez Hilton.

The blogger, who seems to always confuse the word “Wrong” with “Exclusive,” today notes in a post that it’s a good thing Efron and Ashley Tisdale are just friends, “because he is stepping out with another girl!”

Perez reports that Efron was at a Hollywood bar named “Dillions” (it’s actually called “Dillon’s”), and while there he had “a late night cocktail was none other than Demi Moore and Bruce Willis‘ kiddo, Rumer Willis!”

He even posted a picture of  them having “an intimate conversation in the corner by themselves!”

“Intimate conversation”?

“New lady?”

WRONG!

They’re just pals.

In fact, Efron’s rep even says, “Everyone knows they are friends.”

Uh, everyone but… Perez.

Is there going to be another “Jersey Shore” defection?

Days after Vinny Guadagnino bolted the Seaside Heights house where MTV films the hit series, there’s a new rumor that The Situation could follow him out the door.

According to Perez Hilton -and, really, are there four more dubious words than “according to Perez Hilton”? – Mike Sorrentino is “eager” to make a change and might leave the show, too.

Perez is apparently basing this rumor on reports that Sorrentino “didn’t say no” when photographers asked him whether he planned to exit “Jersey Shore.”

The blogger warns Sorrentino not to do it.

“If he walks away from the Jersey Shore, he has nowhere to walk to,” explains Perez. “What are you going to do? No one has offered you a reality show! What’s your next move gonna be?!”

Oh, Perez.

First of all, Sorrentino does already have a development deal in place with MTV.

More importantly, there’s been no indication that he plans to leave “Jersey Shore.”

As a source close to Sorrentino tells Gossip Cop, “He is there and all is well.”

While things often change at the volatile house, Sitch is sticking with the show.

“Suri Cruise Will Star In First Major Motion Picture!” exclaims Perez Hilton, who goes on to report that Katie Holmes and Tom Cruise‘s daughter “has decided to take after her Mom and Dad and pursue a career in acting. Apparently, Suri decided she wanted to do this all on her own, with no outside guidance” from her folks.

The blogger adds, “She’s been picking out her own clothes since she was 6 months old. Seems only logical she pick a career at the age of 5.”

According to Perez, who relies this time on the equally unreliable In Touch, “Tom already has a role lined up for his darling daughter – a cameo in his upcoming movie musical, Rock of Ages.”

Perez then writes, “Watch yourself, KATIE! You’re already in competition with half of Hollywood for the roles you want. Do you really want your daughter hot your heels at every audition you go to??? HA!”

Once again, the “ha” should be directed at Perez.

A rep for Cruise tells Gossip Cop the story is “not true” – Suri does NOT have a cameo in Rock of Ages.

Peter Facinelli and Jennie Garth‘s marriage was the subject of speculation today after Perez Hilton posted an “EXCLUSIVE!” claiming the couple is on a “break.”

According to the blogger, Garth is living in the family’s Toluca Lake home while Facinelli is renting a residence in Santa Ynez.

“Insiders insist that no third party is involved, but divorce is looking like the final outcome,” claims Perez.

That’s not what Gossip Cop hears.

A source close to the couple tells us the family just returned, happily, from a two-week vacation together.

Additionally, we’re told Garth is living with Facinelli in the Santa Ynez house.

But they won’t be there for long because Gossip Cop is told they and their kids are heading off to the Maldives next Tuesday.

Once again, Perez is “exclusively” WRONG.
