Johnny Depp and Vanessa Paradis are “all but officially finished,” according to a cover story from People magazine.

The longtime couple, who have two young children together, “have not appeared side-by-side on a red carpet for more than a year,” notes the mag, which goes on to claim the pair has been leading “separate lives” for quite some time.

People adds, “Some in their circle say the couple of nearly 14 years have already split,” quoting an insider as saying, “It’s so sad.”

Gossip Cop reached out to reps for Depp and Paradis when rumors of relationship trouble surfaced earlier this month, but received no response.

Twenty years after leaving Hollywood behind, Kristy McNichol is returning to the spotlight to reveal a big secret.

She’s gay.

The former “Family” star is publicly coming out in hopes of inspiring youth who feel they cannot do the same.

McNichol is “very sad about kids being bullied,” says her rep.

He adds, “She hopes that coming out can help kids who need support. She would like to help others who feel different.”

McNichol, also remembered for her role on the sitcom “Empty Nest,” has quietly been living with her partner of 20 years, Martie Allen.

Despite the Emmy winner’s decision to reveal her sexual orientation, her publicist says the “happy and healthy” star prefers “living a very private life.”

McNichol herself tells People, it was finally time “be open about who I am.”

Bradley Cooper is People magazine’s “Sexiest Man Alive” this year.

He told the magazine, “I think it’s really cool that a guy who doesn’t look like a model can have this [title]… I think I’m a decent-looking guy. Sometimes I can look great, and other times I look horrifying.”

As for his dating status, Cooper says he’s a “single 36-year-old male.”

“If you’re a single man and you happen to be in this business,” he adds, “you’re deemed a player. But I don’t see myself as a ladies’ man.”

Last year, Ryan Reynolds received the honor, taking over for two-time winner Johnny Depp.

It’s their first child.

The site notes the actress was “seen on a romantic stroll through Paris with Culkin on Sept. 13,” and that they “appeared cozy and happy as they made their way along the Champs-Élysées after midnight.”

People adds Johansson and Culkin were “photographed together again the following day – this time at the airport, hopping a flight back to the U.S.”

So, are they really dating?

Obviously, People doesn’t know because the best they could do was pose a question.

Fortunately (for them), Gossip Cop provides answers.

“Lauren Conrad & Colton Haynes: New Couple Alert?” reads a headline from People, which says Conrad was spotted “enjoying the company” of the “Teen Wolf” star at L.A. club Trousdale last Friday.

According to the mag, “Conrad was clearly happy to be around Haynes – at one point draping her arms and legs around the actor in the back room of the lounge.”

But the former and current MTV stars aren’t getting romantic.

“Minka Kelly & Ramon Rodriguez More Than Just Costars?” reads a dishy headline from People, which is trying to stir the pot a day after it was announced the actress and Yankees star Derek Jeter broke up.

The mag then breathlessly writes, “Sources on the set of ‘Charlie’s Angels’ in Miami are talking about a growing late-night friendship between [Jeter's] ex Minka Kelly and her costar Ramon Rodriguez.”

People even has a so-called “source” saying, ”We have seen Minka and Ramon talking in his trailer way after hours, and often late into the night,” adding, “They have been together long after they need to be for the show.”

But all this nothing more than tabloid titillation.

A source close to Kelly tells Gossip Cop that the People insinuation is “not true” and “inaccurate.”

Rose McGowan reveals that she spent the first nine years of her life in a cult in Italy in a shocking new interview.

The Conan the Barbarian star opens up about being a part of the Children of God sect, a group that celebrated free love and prepared for the second coming of Jesus.

The Florence-born star’s parents were members of the sect’s church in the Italian countryside, and while actress remembers the setting as “idyllic” and “pastoral,” she says she knew she didn’t fit in with the group.

“You weren’t allowed to have imperfections,” she explained. “I had a little wart on my thumb, and I remember walking down this hallway – a door opened and some adult grabbed me and just cut it off with a razor blade and stuck me back out in the hallway with it still bleeding.”

The former “Charmed” star also says she wasn’t into the hippie lifestyle, noting to People, “I came out of the womb waving red lipstick,” and also had a big problem with the subservient role of women in the sect.

“I did not want to be like those women,” McGowan states. “There were basically there to serve the men sexually – you were allowed to have more than one wife.”

According to the actress, when the cult began advocating child-adult sexual relations, her father pulled the family out of it, and took them to America.

“My dad was strong enough to realize that this hippie love had gone south,” she explains.

Still, their escape was not easy.

McGowan and her family left the cult in the middle of the night and hid in a stone house. “I remember a man trying to break in with a hammer,” she says.

Years later, McGowan returned to her childhood town with her then-boyfriend Marilyn Manson. “We created quite a stir,” she admits.

Kardashian, who reportedly sold the pictures to the mag for a whopping $1.5 million, dishes to the weekly about her star-studded nuptials, saying, “It was like we were in heaven.”

The reality star’s new hubby Kris Humphries added, “I’m going to remember how perfect it was.”

The couple tied the knot on Saturday at a private estate in Montecito, California, in front of approximately 440 guests, including Ryan Seacrest, Demi Lovato, Lindsay Lohan and Eva Longoria.

Olivia Wilde is ”single and ready to mingle,” says People magazine, which reports the actress has been “hanging with the hottest guys in Hollywood” ever since she split from her husband of seven years, Tao Ruspoli.

The mag claims Wilde was spotted “getting cozy” last night with Ryan Reynolds at The Troubadour club in L.A., and notes the pair also hung out at a Details magazine party three weeks ago.

Just a few days ago, adds the mag, “Wilde got touchy-feely with Jake Gyllenhaal” at Chateau Marmont, “where the two chatted and acted flirty.”

But that’s not all.

The “House” star has also recently been seen out with Bradley Cooper and former co-star Justin Timberake, says the weekly.

Scandalous!

Wilde, however, seems to be a bit exasperated with all these “flirting” stories, and has taken to Twitter to address the rumors.

“Hey! All you people standing with[in] 5 feet of each other! Stop flirting! Have you no shame?!” wrote Wilde, clearly mocking the People story.

Wilde is single.

She’s an actress, which means she sometimes hangs out with other… actors.

That’s all.

Johansson and Penn turned heads when they began dating shortly after she and Ryan Reynolds ended their marriage last December.

Catherine Zeta-Jones is in final negotiations to join Rock of Ages, the film adaptation of the hit Broadway musical about 1980s rockers.

Director Adam Shankman says Zeta-Jones will play the villain of the movie, a role that was not in the original stage production.

Also onboard for the film are Tom Cruise, who will play heavy metal singer Stacee Jaxx, Alec Baldwin, as former rocker and nightclub owner Dennis Dupree, along with Russell Brand and Julianne Hough.

A rep for Zeta-Jones, who recently checked into a mental health facility for treatment of bipolar disorder and opened up about her struggle to People, told Gossip Cop “She’s feeling great and looking forward to starting work” again.

Catherine Zeta-Jones checked into a mental health facility a little more than a week ago for treatment of bipolar disorder, and now she’s opening up about her struggle.

“This is a disorder that affects millions of people and I am one of them,” the actress candidly tells People. “If my revelation of having bipolar II has encouraged one person to seek help, then it is worth it.”

Zeta-Jones offers, “There is no need to suffer silently and there is no shame in seeking help.”

The Oscar winner’s rep tells Gossip Cop, “She’s feeling great.”

A little more than a week ago, Zeta-Jones made the decision to check into a mental health facility for treatment of the disorder “after dealing with the stress of the past year.”

Her husband, Michael Douglas, battled throat cancer throughout the previous year.

Zeta-Jones will soon begin shooting the upcoming romantic comedy Playing the Field.

Casey Abrams and James Durbin were obvious standouts on “American Idol” last night, with judges praising them for taking risks with their song choices.

In the movie-themed episode, Abrams sang Nat King Cole‘s “Nature Boy” from The Boy with Green Hair, while Durbin performed “Heavy Metal” from the 1981 movie of the same name.

Stefano Langone seemed to make a comeback from last week (he was in the bottom two with Pia Toscano, who was shockingly eliminated) with Boyz II Men‘s “End of the Road” from Boomerang.

Haley Reinhart, who has been a strong contender in the past few weeks, got a lukewarm reception from judges for her rendition of Blondie‘s “Call Me” from American Gigolo.

Jennifer Aniston and Bradley Cooper might be more than just friends, according to People.

The mag says Cooper, who split from Renee Zellweger last month, “is getting back in touch” with Aniston with whom he once went out to dinner in 2009.

“In the past few weeks, they have stayed in contact,” says a source for the magazine, explaining, “Jen always had a soft spot for Bradley, and she thinks he is very attractive and charming.”

“They have a lot in common,” adds People‘s source.

Jennifer Lopez is the cover of People magazine’s “Most Beautiful” issue, announced the weekly this morning, a full THREE DAYS AFTER it was exclusively revealed by Gossip Cop.

As noted, it has been a huge year for Lopez who, along with Steven Tyler, joined “American Idol” this season.

Additionally, Lopez’s music career is hot again with her latest single “On the Floor” and the upcoming release of her album, “Love?”.

Lopez told People in its accompanying interview that she works hard to stay in shape.

“The thing is, it’s part of my job,” says the singer, adding, ”I don’t want anybody thinking it’s easy. It does take time and it’s hard work. HDTV wide-screen is nobody’s friend!”

Lopez also notes she prefers not wearing makeup.

“Just being able to touch my face and rub my eyes and put my fingers in my hair and not having to worry about messing it up. It’s so much better,” says Lopez.

On Friday, she dropped a hint into a tweet, mentioning that she had an “Early Call Today for @peoplemag shoot!” That tweet was later deleted.

Scarlett Johansson and Ryan Reynolds, who announced six days ago that they were ending their marriage, shared a “friendly” dinner together on Friday.

The estranged couple were spotted at New York’s Blue Ribbon restaurant, where they were reportedly “smiling and laughing the whole time.”

“They just wanted to connect and have a friendly chat,” a source told People, adding that despite the cordial tenor, “They aren’t reconciling. This was just two people who were married being civil and friendly.”

As Gossip Cop previously reported, the couple simply grew apart because of distance, and it was Reynolds who initiated the separation.

Alex Welch, the young dancer who was allegedly punched by Demi Lovato, is now speaking up.

“To this day, I haven’t gotten an apology. I’ve heard nothing,” she tells People magazine. “That’s sad if you think that person is your friend.”

A source close to Lovato tells Gossip Cop, “Demi is focused on her treatment right now and hasn’t been able to call Alex directly,” but adds, “Her mother and stepfather have reached out through intermediaries to both Alex and her parents – they were told that they did not wish to speak with them.”

Regardless, Welch says before the fisticuffs, tour managers gave Lovato a talking to because “she had gotten in trouble” the night before.

What precisely happened is not mentioned.

Welch goes on to relate that Lovato was upset about being snitched on, and “pulled the dancers in a room and threatened: ‘If I find out who told on me …’ ”

Because Welch hadn’t witnessed the incident the night before – and hadn’t spoken to anyone about it – she didn’t think twice about Lovato’s warning.

Next thing she knows, says Welch, “We were on the plane with the Jonases having this awesome time and… she walks up and punches me and literally walked away and got in her seat.”

What followed was Lovato checking into a facility for “emotional and physical issues,” while Welch was left with a black eye and bruised cheekbone.

Though Welch didn’t suffer any permanent damage, she’s considering civil litigation.

New rumors link Kim Kardashian to Gabriel Aubry, Halle Berry‘s ex-boyfriend.

The pair set next to each other at the Los Angeles Lakers game on Sunday night, and their friendly behavior prompted many observers to speculate that they’ve begun a romance.

Last night, “Access Hollywood” claimed Kardashian had the “look of a woman who’s smitten” with Aubry, whom Berry dumped earlier this year.

But the jury’s still out on this one.

While People.com quotes a source as saying the two have “been dating a little bit,” Kardashian herself is playing down their closeness, telling Mario Lopez of “Extra” that she and Aubry are “just friends.” And her mom, Kris Jenner, said as much to George Lopez, when the talk show host brought up the rumor. “They’re not dating,” clarified Jenner. “They’re just friends.”

“He’s People‘s Sexiest Man Alive for 2010. She’s GQ‘s Babe of the Year. But are Ryan Reynolds and Scarlett Johansson still hot for each other?” asks the New York Daily News’ “Gatecrasher” column.

The column claims that a source close to Johansson says the couple has relationship “troubles,” which may be “the reason the abs-solutely fabulous Reynolds did not make a cameo on ‘Saturday Night Live’ when his Lamborghini-curved wife hosted the show last weekend.”

To further make its point, the Daily News notes that “in October 2009, Johansson put in a surprise ‘SNL’ appearance when Reynolds was the show’s guest host.”

The paper then says it heard “producers were interested in having the upcoming ‘Green Lantern’ star make a similar cameo,” but he declined.

OK, so even if he didn’t want to do a cameo on “SNL,” how does that translate to “troubles” in one’s marriage?

More importantly, sources tell Gossip Cop there was never even a mention at “SNL” of Reynolds doing a cameo.

Meanwhile, a rep for Johansson assures Gossip Cop the attractive couple is “not having any marital issues,” and a spokesperson for Reynolds similarly says the Daily News’ premise is “not true.”

Oksana Grigorieva feared Mel Gibson would kill her and says he had long been “hiding his dark side,” according to a new magazine interview.

“I was scared for my life,” she tells People.

On January 6, Grigorieva alleges, Gibson hit her twice — once in the head, once in the mouth — as she held their daughter Lucia.

Gibson supposedly pulled a gun on her and waved it while talking to himself and frothing at the mouth.

The Russian musician says that she didn’t call police because she feared it would only humiliate and enrage Gibson, and that he might kill her.

According to Grigorieva, Gibson was extremely “depressed” and frequently spoke of suicide. “He would’ve killed himself many times if he wasn’t Catholic,” she explains, but he’s “afraid of hell.”

Grigorieva claims to be “severely in debt,” but insists that she is not a gold digger and only taped Gibson’s fuming phone calls to “document his threats.”

She denies leaking the tapes and contends her ex’s allegation that she used them for extortion.

Gibson’s ex says she’s “standing up to a bully who is very rich and famous.”

Despite everything, Grigorieva says that she wants Gibson to be a part of Lucia’s life and believes that he can be a good father.

“I’m not angry at him. For the sake of Lucia, I really want him to be well,” says Grigorieva. “He has to have the courage to be responsible for what he’s done.

Gibson refused to comment for the story.

Two days after her divorce from Tiger Woods became final, Elin Nordegren has finally opened up about the scandal that rocked their marriage.

The mother of two says she has “been through hell” in the months since the golfer’s serial infidelity made headlines, but calls rumors she hit him “truly ridiculous.”

“I have been through the stages of disbelief and shock, to anger and ultimately grief over the loss of the family I so badly wanted for my children,” Nordegren tells People.

Ultimately, reconciliation was impossible, and she refused to prop up a marriage “without trust and love.”

Nordegren believes she’s come out the other side in a better place.

Nordegren says, “I also feel stronger than I ever have. I have confidence in my beliefs, my decisions and myself.”

“My immediate plan is for the kids and me to continue to adjust to our new situation… My main focus is to try to give myself time to heal.”

Woods and Nordegren have a three-year-old daughter named Sam, and a 19-months-old son, Charlie.

She expresses embarrassment that she “never suspected” Woods was cheating despite the enormity of his infidelity.

“I’ve been through hell,” says the Swedish beauty. “It’s hard to think you have this life, and then all of a sudden — was it a lie? You’re struggling because it wasn’t real.”

“But I survived. It was hard, but it didn’t kill me.”

As for the game that made her ex-husband the world’s most famous athlete? Nordegren has “not watched one minute of golf.”

Incredibly, People, Star, and Us Weekly have three different takes on the split.

Touting an “explosive interview” with Pavelka, People quotes “The Bachelor” star’s three-point explanation for the shocking split.

Pavelka claims Girardi harbored an “intense amount of jealousy” over his blossoming career. Pavelka, who was on “Dancing With The Stars” and guest-stars on “Drop Dead Diva,” says Girardi wasn’t supportive of him, and wanted her own career “in entertainment.”

Next, Pavelka explains that Girardi’s alleged cheating with actor Gregory Michael “is not what caused the breakup, but it’s a factor.”

Pavelka admits to People he “can’t prove” she was unfaithful, but says he wasn’t “going to be in a relationship that I don’t fully trust.”

The final straw for Pavelka was when he found out “she went to a tabloid behind my back, looking for a little publicity” about their trouble relationship.

That, says Pavelka, was what led him to break up with her – while 2,100 miles apart - by phone.

According to Star (the tabloid Pavelka referenced above), it was Girardi who ended the relationship, by leaving “a letter I wrote to him, with his engagement ring on top” in the apartment they once shared.

Girardi tells Star one of her biggest complaints was she had “literally been living six months with this guy who won’t be intimate with me,” unless cameras were nearby.

She adds that it wasn’t just a lack of physical intimacy. He was emotionally distant as well. “He doesn’t try to talk to me or get to know me or anything,” she tells the tab.

Girardi also alleges Pavelka is “a control freak,” who accused her on a few occasions of “undermining him.”

She further gripes to Star that he changed his professional focus, and concentrated on segueing into the entertainment industry. “I thought he was a pilot,” she says.

Us Weekly

Although Girardi used Twitter to deny allegations that she strayed with “Greek” star Gregory Michael, Us Weekly – which didn’t interview either Girardi or Pavelka – declares on its cover, “Vienna Cheated!”

Us, however, spoke to Michael, who reveals he has “a fond affinity for [Girardi].”

“She made it very clear they were not together,” Michael says of Girardi and Pavelka, as he recounts details of their first meeting en route to an event on June 19.

“She was a straight shooter,” says Michael. “I like that.”

The mag also quotes an “eyewitness” from the June 19 event, who claims, “they were all over each other” and Girardi even kissed him.

According to Us, Girardi and Michael met up again the next day at another event, where she allegedly told him that she still wears her engagement ring “for the show.”

Michael’s rep, quoted in People, insists her client is “not a home wrecker, and he’s not stupid. He wouldn’t be in public with her if she were engaged.”

David Boreanaz has admitted to cheating on Jaime Bergman, his wife of nearly nine years.

The “Bones” star decided to come forward after a former mistress threatened to contact the media.

“Our marriage has been tainted with my infidelities,” Boreanaz admits to People. “I just want to be open and honest. I was irresponsible.”

“I was associated with a woman who I was involved with and had a relationship with,” explains the actor. “She asked for money. I felt as though I was being blackmailed or there was some sort of extortion.”

Although Boreanaz did not mention names, he’s been linked in the past to alleged Tiger Woods mistress #1 Rachel Uchitel, who at the time refused to comment to Gossip Cop about the rumors.
