After backing out of the People’s Choice Awards earlier this month, Katy Perry is now ready to make her first U.S. public appearance since splitting from Russell Brand.

The “Teenage Dream” singer is slated to host the GiveLove charity event at the grand opening of 1Oak at the Mirage in Las Vegas this Friday.

Kim Kardashian is visiting Haiti.

The reality TV star and her mom, Kris Jenner, are on the impoverished, natural disaster-stricken island with the charity organization We Advance, co-founded by actress Maria Bello.

We Advance is a “movement to advance the health, safety, and well being of women throughout Haiti,” according to the group’s website.

Not too long ago, as an experiment, the actress decided to Facebook “friend” regular folks who she didn’t personally know. Then, a little more than a week ago, her security team warned her that one of them posed a threat.

Thomas Jane, who plays a gigolo on the new HBO series “Hung,” revealed today that he used to turn tricks while living as a homeless teen in Los Angeles.

Jane says he was an out-of-work actor, and often performed sexual acts with men to make ends meet.

The actor tells the L.A. Times, “When I was a kid out here in L.A., I was homeless. I didn’t have any money and I was living in my car.”

Thomas Jane and Patricia Arquette have split again.

The “Hung” star and “Medium” actress, who separated last year before reconciling, have elected to pursue a divorce.

Arquette originally filed for divorce in 2009 before reuniting with Jane.

“The split is completely amicable and their prime focus is their daughter,” says a rep for Jane. “They ask that their privacy be respected at this time.”
