According to the Las Vegas coroner, he died in his home of a cardiac arrest.

Curtis, father of actress Jamie Lee Curtis, was a Hollywood heartthrob who starred in more than 150 films, including the Sweet Smell of Success with Burt Lancaster, The Defiant Ones with Sidney Poitier (the film earned  Curtis an Oscar nomination), and Some Like It Hot with Marilyn Monroe and Jack Lemmon.

Just two months ago, Curtis, who suffered from chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, was taken to the hospital with breathing problems.

Curtis was 85.

According to reports out of Italy, which were picked up everywhere, George Clooney just sold his villa “Oleandra” on Lake Como.

Sì?

NO.

Rumors of Clooney unloading his villa began to surface in February, and were initially debunked back then by Gossip Cop.

At the time, Clooney said in a statement to Gossip Cop that he was “not selling my house in Italy… the story was made up… then picked up… and now denied… end of another riveting day of false news.”

His rep reiterated today the Oscar-winning actor has NO plans to sell his Italian home.

Kevin Costner has become a dad for the seventh time.

Yesterday evening, the Academy Award-winner and his wife Christine Baumgartner welcomed a daughter, Grace Avery Costner.

Mother and daughter are doing well, according to Costner’s rep.

Grace joins siblings Hayes and Cayden (from Baumgartner), Liam (from ex-girlfriend Bridget Rooney), and Joe, Lily and Annie (from Costner’s first wife, Cindy Costner).

Undoubtedly, Costner is enjoying his lucky number 7.

Academy Award winner Bill Condon will direct The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn, Summit Entertainment announced today.

In a press release, Condon said, “I’m very excited to get the chance to bring the climax of this saga to life on-screen. As fans of the series know, this is a one-of-a-kind book – and we’re hoping to create an equally unique cinematic experience.”

Stephenie Meyer, author of the Twilight series, said she is “thrilled” Condon is directing and is “excited to see what he does with the material.”

Condon, who won an Oscar in 1999 for Gods and Monsters, was the front-runner for the project, despite a false claim that Gus Van Sant had already “signed” to do the movie and speculation that Michael Mann was a major candidate.

There’s been a lot of Internet buzz that Kristen Stewart will join the buzz-cut ranks for a movie titled, “An American Girl,” in which she would play a Marine. So is this real or just another Stewart rumor?

Gossip Cop can now confirm, via her rep, that it is TRUE!

 “An American Girl,” to be directed by James Woods, is about a woman who after high school finds herself wasting her life drinking and drugging in a small town in Indiana. During one particular night of boozing, she has sex with a guy in a quarry. “She gets taped doing it on somebody’s phone and in a small town,” says Woods, “her reputation is ruined and on a drunken whim, she joins the Marines.”

Stewart’s character sobers up, learns a number of important life lessons as a Marine, and even returns to her hometown, where she rebuilds her life.

Woods, who didn’t want anyone else but Stewart for the lead role, adds, “It’s a phenomenal story and a slam-dunk Oscar for her.”

Not only is Woods excited about Stewart starring, but her rep told Gossip Cop exclusively, “It is a project that she loves.”
