Ryan Gosling and James Franco are “battling” to play Oscar Pistorius in a movie, claims Star.

The tabloid explains that filmmakers are “rushing to chronicle” the story of the Olympic sprinter who allegedly killed girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp on Valentine’s Day.

“Where there’s a scandal, a movie deal is sure to follow,” explains the magazine.

Oscar Pistorius, the Olympic runner, has been charged with murder in the death of a woman identified as his girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp.

She was shot dead in Pistorius’ home in Pretoria, South Africa early Thursday.

Oscar Pistorius, the double-amputee track athlete nicknamed “Blade Runner,” made history in London on Saturday when he became the first amputee sprinter to compete in the Olympics.

The South African finished his 400-meter heat in second place with a time of 45.44 seconds to qualify for Sunday’s semifinals.
