Star magazine reports that Kristen Stewart has “spent weeks worrying” because boyfriend Robert Pattinson “has been partying like a single guy while he’s off shooting ‘Cosmopolis’ in Toronto.”

So now Stewart is “making a point of having a wild time too,” writes the tab, which notes she hung out late one night in London with her ‘On The Road’ costar Garrett Hedlund, and was “caught leaving” the L.A. club The Roxy with him a few days later. So what’s really going on between Stewart and Hedlund?

Kristen Stewart is the subject of a Hollywood “EXCLUSIVE!” (hold your laughter) claiming she and “hunky” On The Road co-star Garrett Hedlund had a night out at The Roxy in Los Angeles.

“Several eyewitnesses” tell the site the two stars “appeared to be close friends and they looked like they were having a great time together.”

It’s worth noting, by the way, that HollywoodLife links on the phrase “several eyewitnesses” to a completely unrelated Lindsay Lohan story from August 2010 – because HollywoodLife is where logic and coherence die swift deaths.

You’ll recall that earlier this week, the site claimed ‘On The Road’ co-stars Kristen Stewart and Garrett Hedlund were together at Soho House in Los Angeles on Christmas Eve.

The so-called “date” was 100% phony.

As Gossip Cop reported, Hedlund was NOT EVEN THERE.

Well, today HollywoodLife proves again that it’s either too oblivious or too careless to let inaccuracy get in the way of a juicy story.

The site boasts in an “exclusive” that “a source tells HollywoodLife.com that the 20-year-old Twilight star was spotted at Soho House in LA Dec. 24., with Tron hottie Garrett Hedlund, 26, her costar in their upcoming flick On The Road.”

But there’s more. According to HollywoodLife, Stewart and Hedlund were “sitting together alone” and “they stayed until 2:30 am!” Really?

They’re smiling. They’re laughing. They’re together.

And that’s a major problem for outlets that have been sniping at them for months (and even years).

So one tabloid took it upon itself to concoct one of the most absurd articles we’ve seen in ages.

We’re starting to get a headache from all the facepalms that come with reading HollywoodLife.

Even in a mostly nice item about Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart, the site manages to come off as both uninformed and mean-spirited.

As widely reported, the couple dined with friends in Los Angeles over the weekend, laughing and having a good time.

Pattinson “couldn’t bare [sic] to leave her side all night,” according to the item.

OK. So far, so good.

HollywoodLife probably should have quit while it was ahead.

Kristen Stewart’s “blossoming friendship” with Sturridge has become a “sore spot” for her and Pattinson, claims In Touch.
