Lesson for the New York Post: If you’re going to take a cheap shot at Lindsay Lohan, at least get your facts straight first. In a piece about Robert Rodriguez filming his new film, “Machete” in Austin, the paper has a “Texas-based spy” who says “celebrities like Jessica Alba, Robert De Niro, Michelle Rodriguez and Lindsay Lohan ‘have been camped out’ there.” The item even goes on to say, “Lohan’s been lying low, but we’re sure she’ll become a regular at a swanky bar soon enough.” Low blow – and wrong!

It is all make-up with Gawker when it comes to “Sex and the City” star Kristin Davis. In a piece titled, “Cosmetics Company Uses Kristin Davis and Then Kicks Her Out,” Gawker got it wrong and wrong. The story began, “Ahava Dead Sea Laboratories, hired Sex and the City’s Kristin Davis to help their image. Because she worked with the disputed company, she got the boot from human rights group Oxfam International. Now Ahava is giving her the heave-ho too!” Time for Gossip Cop to give this item the heave-ho . . .

The New York Post reported that some “unscripted drama” occurred on the New York set of “Gossip Girls” when Hilary Duff “refused get out of her trailer” while filming was taking place. According to the paper’s so-called source, “No one could believe they would actually hold up taping for her.”
