The tabloid claims things have gotten so bad between the couple that “Nicole has spent a few nights away from their Hollywood Hils home and taken the kids with her.” Really?

Nicole Richie is “fed up with husband Joel Madden’s hectic life as a musician,” reports the National Enquirer, which goes on to claim that Richie is “threatening to leave him and take their children” if he doesn’t quit his band Good Charlotte.

According to a “source” for the tabloid, “Nicole has been complaining nonstop that Joel is like an absentee parent,” explaining, “When he’s not sequestered in the studio with his band mates, he’s touring the globe.” Seriously?

“Nicole vs. Jessica: Feuding on Fashion Star,” reads the headline of a piece in Us Weekly, which quotes a source as saying, “There’s definite friction between Nicole Richie and Jessica Simpson on Fashion Star, and they’re both very curt.”

According to the magazine’s “insider,” the two stars of the upcoming NBC reality show “chat only when they need to.” For real?

“Contrary to recent speculation, I am not pregnant,” she tells Gossip Cop.

“This irresponsible reporting continues to feed an atmosphere of self-doubt and insecurity. To publicly point out a change in anyone’s body is mean spirited and cruel.”
