Like a bad meal coming back to haunt you, so too is this bad dish about a Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart “love nest.”

Yesterday, the Daily Mail reported, “Twilight star Robert Pattinson wants to buy a house on the Isle of Wight, where he plans to live” with Kristen Stewart. The article went on to claim that “after a romantic New Year on the island they intend to buy a home there.”

Really?!

The paper even quoted an unnamed source saying, “He just wants a quiet English life, which is why he brought Kristen over for New Year.”

And while the Isle of Wight — off the coast of England — would afford Pattinson a more private life, this rumor, which surfaced a few days ago, is still not true.

Sources (re)assure Gossip Cop Pattinson and Stewart are not — repeat, not — moving to the isle.

Yesterday, we told you that MediaTakeOut — or MediaFakeOut, as some prefer to call it — was reporting that Sean “Diddy” Combs was going to get married last night. We also told you that story was 100 percent wrong. 

Happy New Year — Diddy did NOT get married!

The mogul even Tweeted early this morning, “No I didn’t get married !!!!! Pls stop asking!!!“

He’s not even engaged. 

Frankly, we hear he’s really annoyed by the inaccurate story.

We hope MediaFakeOut resolves to fact-check a little better in 2010.

We thought we would quietly make it through the end of 2009 without another MediaTakeOut mess up.

But no!

The blog that still hasn’t learned how to undo the CAPS keys on its computers proclaims today, “SECRET WEDDING!!! IT’S FINALLY HAPPENING . . . DIDDY MAY FINALLY BE MARRYING KIM PORTER . . . AT MIDNIGHT TONIGHT!!!!”

Apparently, it’s such a “secret wedding,” not even Diddy know about it!

Nevertheless, the blog states that one of its “snitches” says, “celebs are FLOCKING to St. Barts… for Diddy and Kim Porter’s wedding.”

Did it every occur to them that all the stars go there every New Year’s?!

To set it straight, Diddy is NOT get married, and if you don’t believe us, here’s what he says: “I’m sorry to announce I’m not getting married tonight!!! Stop blogs stop! By the time I do decide to get married no one is gonna believe me!”

Happy New Year — and non-wedding — Diddy!

Many blogs and newspapers recently reported that Amy Winehouse not only “collapsed” but was also going to spend New Year’s in a London hospital.

The site Hollyscoop, for instance, breathlessly noted  that “Amy Winehouse will reportedly spent (sic) her New Years (sic) Eve in a hospital because she’s not well enough to be released.”

Released from where?

Winehouse wasn’t being held in a hospital for “Christmas holiday binge drinking,” as Hollyscoop also mistakenly reported.

The troubled singer has been at her mother’s home, writing songs and dealing with a chest infection. Oops.

Her rep says these tales are “just not true. She won’t be checking into hospital. She has no need to.”
