Britney Spears will unveil her Neil Lane-designed engagement ring tonight at around 7 p.m. PT at the Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino in Las Vegas, where she and fiance Jason Trawick will be staying in a special suite.

While some members of Britney Spears and Jason Trawick’s families will be celebrating their engagement tonight at Paris Resorts in Las Vegas, one person who will be sidelined is the singer’s mom Lynne Spears.

When Gossip Cop reached out to her, Lynne said she’s battling a bad case of the flu, but thinks it’s “all wonderful” that her daughter is tying the knot to Trawick.

He tells us he worked with her fiancé Jason Trawick for “a while” to design what he calls Spears’ “dream ring.”

“I actually had to sit on his knee I was so shocked,” Simpson told host Harry Smith. “I didn’t even try the ring on until 5 minutes in,” she explained. “I just sat there and cried with him.”
