Think Like A Man Beats The Hunger Games at Weekend Box Office

The Hunger Games’ run atop the box office has come to an end.

Two new releases — Think Like A Man and The Lucky One — placed ahead of the kids-killing-kids blockbuster, which had been #1 for four weeks.

Think Like A Man, based on the Steve Harvey book, grabbed the weekend’s top spot with a box office take of $33 million.

Coming in second was the Zac Efron-Taylor Schilling romance The Lucky One, which banked $22.8 million.

Hunger Games Beats Three Stooges and Cabin in the Woods at Weekend Box Office

The kids-killing-kids blockbuster The Hunger Games has won its fourth straight weekend at the box office, topping new releases including The Three Stooges and The Cabin in the Woods.

The Hunger Games took in $21.5 million, beating second place finisher The Three Stooges, which had $17.1 million in ticket sales.

Coming in third was The Cabin in The Woods, which earned $14.9 million.

The Hunger Games nabbed the top spot again with $61.1 million in its second weekend, passing the $250 million mark and crushing two major new releases.

Taking second place was Wrath of the Titans, which earned $34.2 million, while the year’s first Snow White adaptation, Mirror Mirror, grabbed third with $19 million.
