Mindy McCready appears to have shot and killed her late boyfriend’s dog before committing suicide on Sunday.

Marty Moss, the Cleburne County Sheriff, says the country singer apparently shot her beau David Wilson’s pet before turning the gun on herself.

Their bodies were reportedly discovered next to each other on the front porch of her home in Heber Springs, Arkansas.

Mindy McCready is dead in an apparent suicide.

The troubled country singer’s body was found on the front porch of her home in Heber Springs, Arkansas on Sunday, with the local sheriff’s office announcing that McCready died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

Mindy McCready and her five-year-old son, Zander, are missing, according to authorities in Florida.

The troubled country singer was last seen picking the boy up from her father’s home in Cape Coral on Tuesday.

Officials with the Department of Children and Families filed a missing persons report with local police and obtained a judge’s order for McCready’s voluntary return of her son by 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.

McCready, whose mother has legal custody of Zander, faces a possible arrest warrant if he is not returned.

Country singer Mindy McCready has been hospitalized for a drug overdose.

She was at her mother’s home in North Fort Myers, FL when she took an unspecified number of pills before being taken to Cape Coral Hospital.
