Michael Lohan has been arrested again, just hours after being released from a Tampa jail.

Lohan’s on-and-off girlfriend Kate Major called the Tampa police on Wednesday night, claiming he made a harassing call shortly after he was set free following a pre-trial hearing for domestic violence charges.

While the cops were at her condo, Lohan called yet again, violating Judge Walter Heinrich‘s order to leave Major alone.

The judge had warned Lohan, “If you even dream about [Major] and you violate my order, you will go to jail.”

Here’s where it gets even crazier.

When the police arrived at the Tampa motel where Lohan was staying, the often arrested dad of Lindsay Lohan tried to escape and jumped off a third-floor balcony, falling 34 feet to the ground.

He then attempted to hide behind some trees.

Following a short chase on foot, the police arrested Lohan and threw him back in jail.

But because of a foot injury from the jump, Lohan was then taken to a hospital.

Police believe booze and drugs were involved in the incident.

Lohan has had a long history of run-ins with Major.

Michael Lohan is following a little too closely in his daughter Lindsay‘s footsteps.

One week after a furious judge revoked the younger Lohan’s probation for not following the rules of her court-mandated community service, a Florida judge ripped Michael Lohan for violating the restraining order designed to protect ex-girlfriend Kate Major.

At the bond hearing following Lohan’s arrest for alleged domestic violence, Judge Walter Heinrich slammed Lohan for ignoring the language in the restraining order, at one point asking his attorney, “Does he know how to read?”

“If you even dream about [Major] and you violate my order, you will go to jail,” he told Lohan.

Police responded to reports of a fight between Lohan and his on-again, off-again girlfriend, Kate Major, shortly after 1:00 a.m. ET and took him into custody.

According to local reports, Lohan was treated for chest pains before being taken to jail.

Last March, he was arrested and charged with misdemeanor domestic violence after an altercation with Major in Los Angeles.

Lohan’s daughter, Lindsay, is currently working at a morgue and posing nude for Playboy.

Michael Lohan has been criminally charged after his ex-girlfriend Kate Major accused him of domestic violence.

The Los Angeles County District Attorney’s office has charged Lohan with a misdemeanor count of inflicting injury on a cohabitant.

He is set to be arraigned on May 23.

Lohan was arrested on Monday night after an altercation with Major.

Michael Lohan was arrested on domestic violence charges in Los Angeles last night.

His ex-girlfriend Kate Major filed a police report claiming that an argument with Lohan turned physical.

He was apprehended and booked on felony charges of corporal injury on a cohabitant, false imprisonment and preventing a report of victimization.

Major showed signs of minor injury.

Bail has been set at $200,000.

Meanwhile, Lohan’s daughter Lindsay will appear in court on Friday to make a decision on a plea deal in connection with her felony grand theft case.

Lindsay Lohan was slated to present the Top Ten list on Thursday’s “The Late Show with David Letterman,” according to the show’s head writer Justin Stangel.

Stangel even tweeted, “BREAKING @LindsayLohan will be presenting the Top Ten List on Thursday’s @Late_Show #Letterman.”

And a source close to the show confirmed to Gossip Cop that the actress would be on a satellite feed from Los Angeles for the comedic countdown.

But Lohan herself tells us she “never” said she was going to do the Top Ten.

So here’s what happened, according to a spokesman for the show: “Lindsay Lohan will not be delivering a Top Ten list on Thursday’s LATE SHOW with DAVID LETTERMAN, as had been previously announced. We made a mistake. Someone purporting to be a friend of Lindsay’s reached out to the show yesterday, allegedly on her behalf, and booked her to appear. Clearly, this person was not authorized to make commitments on her behalf.”

“We wish Lindsay well, and look forward to having her on the show in the future,” the statement added.

It has since been revealed that Michael Lohan was behind the unauthorized booking.

Lindsay Lohan is claiming a female staffer grabbed her first in the alleged physical incident at the Betty Ford Clinic on December 12, Gossip Cop has learned.

Michael Lohan tells us that his daughter was “10 minutes late for her curfew,” and a female Betty Ford technician “grabbed her” and “got forceful,” to which Lohan responded, “Don’t put your hands on me!” and physically brushed her off.

According to Michael Lohan, the tech wanted Lindsay and her two roommates to take a drug test.

All three were screened for drugs and alcohol, and “all tested negative,” Michael Lohan tells us.

The technician then called police.

“Party at Lindsay Lohan‘s… And Betty Ford Is Ticked,” reads the headline of a TMZ story.

According to the generally accurate site, Lohan’s roommates had a party at the (Betty Ford) satellite house they’re living in, and “the booze was flowing and the girls got in a heap of trouble.”

TMZ adds, “The roommates were ‘drinking heavily’ and somehow the Betty Ford people found out and busted them.”

What’s more, reports the sites, “Sources connected with Lindsay are telling us she went out with two of her roommates the night of the party to a bar.”

Gossip Cop reached out to the actress’ dad, Michael Lohan, and this is what we learned about the boozy night.

TMZ’s report is all wet.

There was NO party where Lohan has been staying, and neither the Mean Girls star nor her roommates were at any bar.

Instead, Michael Lohan says his daughter was confronted by a Betty Ford staffer for arriving back at the facility “10 minutes late for her curfew” after having gone to a hairdresser.

Still, Lohan and her roommates submitted to a drug and alcohol test – and “all tested negative.”

“Lindsay Lohan will not be allowed to leave the state of California during the Thanksgiving holiday – so she’ll be breaking bread with her father Michael on Turkey Day,” claims TMZ.

The generally reliable site goes on to report that “Lindsay will spend the day at a home where Michael is staying, close to Betty Ford.”

As to the where and with whom Lindsay will celebrate the holiday, Dina says, “We are figuring all of that out now.”

Part of Lindsay Lohan‘s healing was always predicated on her confronting and resolving issues with her dad.

Just three days after having her first face-to-face with Michael Lohan at the Betty Ford Center – following a long estrangement – the actress again spent time with her father.

The Lohans were spotted yesterday going to the movies, not far from Betty Ford and the new outpatient facility where she’s now continuing her rehab.

While their first encounter was described by a source as “emotional,” their time together yesterday was characterized more as “comfortable.”

Lindsay Lohan and her dad Michael had a face-to-face yesterday at the Betty Ford Center, a source close to the situation confirms to Gossip Cop.

We’re told the meeting between the formerly estranged father and daughter was “emotional,” and part of the actress’ therapy.

For months, when talk turned to possibly meeting up with her dad, Lohan was adamant, and would tell Gossip Cop, “No, not meeting with him.” And when he showed up unannounced (and unwanted) in April, she expressed to Gossip Cop, “He is INSANE!”

But since some of Lohan’s issues are reportedly related to her dad, the Mean Girls star voluntarily met with her father yesterday.

Gossip Cop is told Michael and Lindsay Lohan spent “considerable time together” at Betty Ford, and even went to a local mall.

Though Lohan is sticking to his word not to discuss his family anymore – and would not comment on the meeting – he told Gossip Cop, “As I have consistently said, all I can say I that I love Lindsay as I do all of my children, and I am proud of the steps Lindsay has taken and the progress she has made.”

Back on the East Coast today, Dina Lohan hit the “Today Show,” where she said that her daughter’s current stint at Betty Ford is “life-changing,’ and that Lindsay is “just a different person.”

Lindsay Lohan was sent back to rehab today after Judge Elden Fox heard her case.

Although the District Attorney recommended that Lohan be sent to jail for six months, Judge Fox ordered rehab instead.

“I don’t want another train wreck,” the judge said, believing rehab would be more beneficial than a stint behind bars.

A very pleased Michael Lohan tells Gossip Cop the judge’s decision is “exactly what we prayed for and exactly what she needs.”

Dina Lohan exclusively tells Gossip Cop that she is not shopping an interview for after she visits daughter Lindsay Lohan in rehab, contrary to some reports.

TMZ claims Lohan is asking “in the high five figures” for the chat, and that she’s trying to arrange a deal where cameras would film her visit to the Betty Ford Center, where Lindsay is in treatment.

But Dina Lohan says the interview rumor is “absolutely not true.”

She tells Gossip Cop that it’s a “total lie” connected to ex-husband Michael Lohan‘s continuing “smear campaign” against her.

Michael Lohan will try to seek a legal conservatorship for Lindsay Lohan.

The actress’ father plans to file a petition sometime in the next several days.

The elder Lohan met with lawyer David Chon, a trusts specialist, on Wednesday.

He, however, is not looking to be her conservator.

Lohan told Gossip Cop, “It is being worked on, and no I will not be [her] conservator.”

But he has also made it clear that he doesn’t want Lindsay’s mother, Dina Lohan, or her new business manager, Lou Taylor, to have control of his daughter’s affairs.

Taking a swipe at the two, he tells Gossip Cop, “I  just want Lindsay’s life and career to be guided by people who are in it with their hearts, not their hands.”

Britney Spears famously ceded legal power in recent years to a conservatorship established by her father, Jamie Spears.

Last May, Lindsay Lohan told Gossip Cop exclusively that her dad’s potential attempt to create a conservatorship for her would go nowhere.

“He won’t ever get that,” she said at the time.

Circumstances have changed, of course, with the younger Lohan in rehab for a fifth time and a probation violation hearing next month.

Michael Lohan is blaming Lindsay Lohan‘s lawyer and “enablers” for the actress’ return to jail today.

Speaking outside the courtroom after his daughter was remanded to jail following the revelation that she failed a drug test, the elder Lohan – who has had his own troubles with the law – said he’s confident Lindsay knows she has a problem, but jail isn’t going to help her.

“Lindsay knows what she needs and what she wants but people are turning a blind eye,” he said.

Lohan explained, “Personally, I feel Shawn [Chapman Holley, Lindsay's lawyer] and the people around Lindsay who are representing her are responsible.”

He also blamed ex-wife Dina for not giving their daughter the support he believes she needs.

“It’s all people, places, and things,” he said. “She’s around the wrong people, hanging out in the wrong places.”

But the father of four also acknowledged his own shortcomings, saying “I’ve made mistakes myself. I’ve fixed them. I’ve tried to help my family.”

When reporters asked why he seemed so angry, Lohan replied, “Why am I angry? My daughter’s in jail. I’d rather be in jail than my daughter today.”

Judge Elden Fox ordered a stunned Lohan behind bars and refused to set bail — meaning the actress will be forced to remain in custody while she awaits a formal probation violation hearing on October 22.

According to reports, Judge Fox did not hear arguments before announcing that he was remanding Lohan into custody. The starlet was taken from the courtroom in handcuffs.

Today’s preliminary hearing was set after Lohan recently failed a drug test, violating a condition of her probation.

When Lohan appears before Judge Fox again next month, he will formally address her positive test and could sentence the starlet to additional jail time.

The actress was sentenced to 90 days in jail in July for another probation violation — failing to attend alcohol education classes as ordered by the court. Due to overcrowding, however, she only served 13 days.

As Gossip Cop exclusively reported on July 21, Lindsay Lohan is on the cover of Vanity Fair‘s October issue, and the actress candidly talks to the magazine about her trial, career, and past drug use.

In an interview conducted a week before Lohan went to jail, she says, “I think everyone has their own addictions and hopefully learns how to get past them… I think my biggest focus for myself is learning how to continue to get through the trauma that my father has caused in my life.”

The star discusses her father, Michael Lohan, a bit throughout the piece. In fact, when talking about her trial, she tells the magazine, “The worst part of it is you turn around and you see your dad crying and normally you’d be, like, happy that your father’s there. But then he has to go and do an interview right after.”

About her career, Lohan is confident she’ll rise again: “I don’t care what anyone says. I know that I’m a damn good actress.”

She adds, “I want my career back… I want the respect that I had when I was doing great movies. And if that takes not going out to a club at night, then so be it.”

Lohan further notes, “I know that in my past I was young and irresponsible – but that’s what growing up is. You learn from your mistakes.”

Among her mistakes, acknowledges Lohan, is “dabbling in certain things and trying things ’cause I was young and curious and thought it was like, O.K., ’cause other people were doing it and other people put it in front of me. And I see what happened in my life because of it.”

But she vehemently denies abusing drugs. “I’ve never abused prescription drugs,” she claims, emphasizing, “I never have – never in my life. I have no desire to. That’s not who I am.”

Still, Lohan believes she fell into the wrong crowd. “So many people around me would say they cared for the wrong reasons. A lot of people were pulling from me, taking from me and not giving. I had a lot of people that were there for me for, you know, the party.”

Compounding that, Lohan was on her own at a young age when she moved to L.A. “I was 18, 19 – with a ton of money and no one really here to tell me that I couldn’t do certain things… And I see where that’s gotten me now, and I don’t like it.”

Lohan realizes now it was “really scary and sad” that she got her news from the tabloids and wanted to emulate the people splashed across their pages. “I would look up to those girls… the Britneys and whatever. And I would be like, I want to be like that,” she says.

As exclusively reported, the photo shoot for the cover was on Lohan’s birthday (July 2), aboard what was once Judy Garland’s yacht.

Dressed in an evening gown, which covered her SCRAM bracelet, Lohan was photographed by Norman Jean Roy.

The October Vanity Fair hits newsstands nationwide on September 7.

Michael Lohan is trying to sell nude photos of ex-fiancee Kate Major, according to a report.

A censored topless photo of Major is currently online, and a source tells Gawker.com it’s “part of a set that Lohan is now trying to unload to the highest bidder.”

In the snapshot, Major’s exposed breasts and an engagement ring from Lohan are visible.

Major alleges that Lohan assaulted her, and he’s been charged with second degree harassment.

Lohan is scheduled to be arraigned in court on August 18.

Michael Lohan‘s fiancee Kate Major filed a police report claiming Lohan physically attacked her, according to a report.

Allegedly, Major says she and Lohan argued on Monday, and that he “shoved her over a chair” and then “kicked her in the face” while she was on the ground, sources tell TMZ.

Major reportedly injured her shoulder and had to go to the hospital.

Lohan has denied her allegations.

Lindsay Lohan has fired back at Joan Rivers for jokes the comedian made about her on Twitter, and takes down two other foes in the process.

“Joan Rivers and her ‘stargument’ make me believe that she and Michael Lohan are a match made in heaven,” tweets Lohan, referring to her estranged father. “All he needs is her botox doctor. ‘Dr.’ Drew- any ideas? Botox rehab reality show?”

Lohan and Dr. Drew Pinsky have publicly fought about her tribulations.

The starlet then quotes 50 Cent, tweeting, “‘You shouldn’t throw stones if you live in a glass house and if you got a glass jaw, you should watch yo mouth.’”

Lohan’s beef with Rivers stems from a series of tweets the comedian leveled in her direction after last week’s legal drama.

“Lindsay Lohan is so dumb. Her idea of being sworn in is cursing at the judge,” wrote the comedy icon. Rivers added, “I was just reading about the new Lindsay Lohan diet, which is all liquid. 80 Proof.”

Rivers ended by tweeting, “Lindsay Lohan had ‘F**k You’ painted on her nails. What people don’t know is that the judge had ‘Eat me you party skank,’ painted on hers.’”

So far she has not responded to Lohan’s counter attack.

Gossip Cop is told that Lindsay Lohan will not be arrested because she has already posted $10,000 – the necessary portion needed to secure the $100,000 bond – and that Judge Revel has since recalled the arrest warrant.

Still, Lohan and her attorney are due in court Monday morning, at which time the probation hearing date will be set.

Judge Marsha Revel‘s reasoning for the warrant: “Actions speak louder than words… she has to take it seriously… I’ve warned her before.”

Lohan’s bail has been set at $100,000.

Leading up to the probation hearing, Judge Revel stipulated that Lohan:

*** must wear an alcohol-monitoring anklet

*** is subject to random weekly drug testing

Commenting exclusively to Gossip Cop on the eve of her court date and a possible arrest, Lindsay Lohan is nervous but says, ”It’s all going to be fine.”

The actress is obligated to be in a Los Angeles court tomorrow for a probation progress report, but is currently stuck in Cannes and unable to return. Among the obstacles: Her passport has gone missing.

“My passport’s been stolen,” Lohan tells Gossip Cop. ”It’s clearly an inside person who works with my father that has been set to set me up.”

Regarding Michael Lohan, Lindsay continues, “He’s been threatening me,” though she wouldn’t specify with what.

And while Lohan is scheduled to get another passport tomorrow from the U.S. Embassy, there’s another issue.

“All flights [are] booked,” she tells us.

Lohan feels her problems are “going to be fine” and ultimately resolved, but tells Gossip Cop her current ordeal is “so scary.”

Amid reports that her father is preparing to begin legal maneuvers to create a conservatorship over her, Lindsay Lohan tells Gossip Cop exclusively, “He won’t ever get that.”

Michael Lohan says it’s “now time” to pursue the conservatorship he’s previously discussed, and that “he’d gladly serve as the conservator but is open to someone else assuming that role,” according to TMZ.

The site also claims the elder Lohan is worried Lindsay could be jailed for violating terms of probation and wants to put her into private rehab.

It sounds as though Lindsay is prepared to fight to remain in charge of her life.

Lindsay Lohan has spoken exclusively to Gossip Cop after her father’s Twitter account allegedly claimed that she is HIV positive.

In tasteless, since-deleted tweets that he says are the work of a hacker, Michael Lohan allegedly tweeted that Lindsay is “living with HIV” and had an affair with music mogul Tommy Mottola when she was 17.

“He’s a grown man and has done the exact same things on TV/interviews, [so] why wouldn’t he lie on Twitter, and everywhere else!” Lohan tells Gossip Cop.

“He just want money – and he’s using me, my name, my status, my mother, brothers and sister for the cash to pay for [another] wedding.”

Lindsay’s response comes after two supposed tweets on Michael Lohan’s account earlier today.

“It’s time you learned the truth,” wrote Michael Lohan. “The truth about Tommy Motolla (sic) engaging in an affair with my then-17 year old daughter.”

He allegedly followed with this stunner: “The truth about my daughter living with HIV for the rest of her life as a result of the decisions she has made,” before erasing both messages.

In recent days, the Lohans have engaged in a very public fight laced with accusations and mutual threats of legal action. Michael Lohan claims to fear for the well being of younger daughter Ali Lohan under Lindsay’s watch, and reportedly is seeking a conservatorship over Lindsay. The sisters and mother Dina Lohan wish to enact restraining orders against Michael.

Gossip Cop reached out to Michael Lohan, but he did not respond.

A hush fell across the world today and all eyes turned to Los Angeles, where Lindsay Lohan had been asked to meet with estranged father Michael Lohan to avoid a possible legal conservatorship.

Of course, Gossip Cop exclusively told you yesterday that the face-to-face wasn’t going to happen.

When we asked Lindsay, she said flatly, “No, [I'm] not meeting with him.”

Sure enough, Lindsay and little sister Ali enjoyed a cheerful lunch together this afternoon while a frustrated Michael headed back to New York to enlist the help of Child Protective Services after being “stood up.”

Last week, Michael Lohan and sheriff’s deputies paid an unexpected visit to Lindsay’s home, where Michael claims 16-year-old Ali is in an unsafe environment. At the time, Lindsay told Gossip Cop she intended to get a restraining order against her father, a notion furthered again today by the younger Lohan’s attorney, Shawn Chapman Holley.

Gossip Cop will keep close tabs on the developing drama.
