Lindsay Lohan has less competition than expected for the role of Elizabeth Taylor in an upcoming TV movie.

A source close to Megan Fox tells Gossip Cop the actress “isn’t involved” in the project, countering reports from earlier this week that suggested the Transformers star would go up against Lohan and other actresses for the part.

The film centers on the tumultuous relationship between Taylor and Richard Burton.

Production is expected to begin this spring.

Lohan’s second consecutive glowing probation review is clearing her path toward acting jobs.

While Lohan is still in talks for the film, which examines the relationship between Taylor and Richard Burton, producers have also been in touch with actresses including Fox, reports E!

Production is expected to begin this spring.

Lohan’s availability for any film project, of course, is dependent on completion of her probation.

She has her second check-in with Judge Stephanie Sautner on Tuesday.

Brian Austin Green has reportedly filed a lawsuit against ex-girlfriend Vanessa Marcil, the mother of his 9-year-old son, over an unpaid $200,000 loan.

Green, who started dating Marcil when they worked together on “Beverly Hills, 90210,” claims he initially lent the actress $50,000 back in 2000.

The actor says he went on to give Marcil an additional $150,000 with the understanding she would pay him back when asked at a later date.

Nine years after their split, Green says he hasn’t received a dime, even though he asked for his money in November.

Green, now married to Megan Fox, is suing Marcil for the $200,000 she allegedly owes, plus unspecified damages, according to TMZ.

Gossip Cop has reached out to reps for Green and Marcil for comment.

It’s time for another (faintly ridiculous) celebrity money list!

Forbes has calculated their rundown of “Hollywood’s Top-Earning Screen Couples,” with Harry Potter “couple” Rupert Grint and Emma Watson leading the pack.

The list tallies box office receipts over the past five years, and the actors who played Ron and Hermione in the Potter franchise saw their four films in that period earn a staggering $4.2 billion.

Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart are #2 with the Twilight Saga romance raking in $2.5 billion over the same period.

While they only made two Transformers films together, on-screen love interests Shia LaBeouf and Megan Fox managed to land in third place with $1.5 billion.

What makes the roundup so… random… is that while romantic pairings like Stewart-Pattinson and Sex and the City’s Sarah Jessica Parker and Chris Noth are at the heart of those films, we have a hard time believing that many people saw blockbusters like Iron Man or Inception solely because of the “love interests.”

The first trailer for the 84th Academy Awards premiered online on Thursday.

In the promo, Josh Duhamel (with a mustache!) and his former Transformers co-star Megan Fox search for host Billy Crystal, who has gone “off the grid.”

The two eventually locate Crystal with the help of a few other recognizable characters.

The first trailer for Sacha Baron Cohen’s The Dictator has been released.

According to Paramount’s early press materials, “The film tells the heroic story of a dictator who risked his life to ensure that democracy would never come to the country he so lovingly oppressed.”

In the film, Cohen plays both the dictator and a lookalike goat herder who replaces him.

It also features Megan Fox, John C. Reilly and Anna Faris, and is directed by Larry Charles, the guy behind Cohen’s hits Borat and Bruno.

The Dictator hits theaters in May.

Who would you most want to kiss at midnight on New Year’s Eve?

The OMG! celeb site on Yahoo! polled more than 1,000 readers for a Hollywood Holiday Survey – and the results are pretty interesting.

On the question of which male celebrity respondents would most like to smooch on New Year’s Eve, George Clooney tops the list, with 28% of the vote, just beating Johnny Depp (27%).

Ryan Reynolds came in third with 18%, ahead of Brad Pitt and Ryan Gosling, who rounded out the Top 5 with 12% and 7%, respectively.

As for the ladies, 22% of the men polled picked Jennifer Aniston as the number one celeb they’d like to ring in the New Year with a kiss.

Aniston edged out Halle Berry with 18% and Scarlett Johansson with a close 17%.

Angelina Jolie and Megan Fox took fourth and fifth places with 13% and 12%, respectively.

Jennifer Aniston is officially the Hottest Woman of All Time – at least according to a new list from Men’s Health.

So just how hot is Aniston?

Hot enough to beat some of pop culture’s sexiest starlets, past and present, including Marilyn Monroe (no. 3), Mila Kunis (no. 96), Jennifer Lopez (no. 60) and Rita Hayworth (no. 58).

Kim Kardashian was named no. 26, while Megan Fox ranked 14th.

As for Jolie, she came in at no. 10, falling behind the likes of Jane Fonda and Pamela Anderson, among others.

Aniston topped Raquel Welch for the magazine’s highest honor.

But the humble “Friends” star admitted she would give the title to someone else if it were up to her.

“It’s a tie between Bridgette Bardot and Gloria Steinem,” she said. “But if I had to choose one, I’d say Gloria because, well, she’s the full package. That’s sexy.”

Yesterday’s announcement that Rihanna would be the new face (and body) of Emporio Armani Underwear and Armani Jeans, led to a number of reporting errors today.

Places like Jezebel ran headlines like, “Armani Replaces Megan Fox With Rihanna.”

The site even reiterated that point with its opening line: “Rihanna will replace Megan Fox as the global face of Emporio Armani underwear and Armani Jeans.”

But Rihanna is NOT – repeat, NOT — replacing Fox.

The singer is simply the next star being used for that campaign, much in the same manner as Victoria Beckham once was.

In fact, Fox is still working with Armani.

A rep for the actress explains, “Megan Fox was contracted for a normal two year cycle with the Jeans and Underware division of Armani Worldwide. She continues to be the face of Armani Beauty, Fragrance and Skincare.”

“Is Reese Witherspoon Pregnant,” asks X17Online, which in the past few months has similarly asked “Is Megan Fox Pregnant?” (nope), and “Is there a bun in Jennifer Garner’s oven?” (wrong).

In X17Online’s latest guessing game, the blog writes that the newly wed Witherspoon was “looking very happy as she left a medical building in LA,” and notes that building “holds the office for a gynecologist who is often visited by pregnant celebs.”

Desperately trying to bolster its claim, the site quotes Witherspoon telling the November issue of Glamour, “I would love to have more kids.”

So, is Witherspoon expecting?

No.

A source close to the actress tells Gossip Cop: “She’s not preggers.”

The singer just shot the label’s 2011-2012 ad campaign, which will debut in September.

Megan Fox is always willing to face her detractors.

The actress has posted a series of self-portraits to Facebook to demonstrate to critics that she doesn’t use Botox.

Fox assembled the pics in an album she calls, “Things You Can’t Do With Your Face When You Have Botox.” These “things” include furrowing her brow and showing off forehead lines.

In the past, the star has denied having cosmetic enhancements.

Shia LaBeouf revealed to Details magazine that he hooked up with Megan Fox while filming Transformers, and says she may or may not have been with now-husband Brian Austin Green at the time.

Whoops.

Asked if he and Fox got together while making the movies, LaBeouf nodded affirmatively, explaining, “Look, you’re on the set for six months, with someone who’s rooting to be attracted to you, and you’re rooting to be attracted to them.”

LaBeouf continues, “I never understood the separation of work and life in that situation. But the time I spent with Megan was our own thing, and I think you can see the chemistry onscreen.”

When the interviewer asks whether Fox was dating Green at the time of the hookup, the actor replied, “I don’t know, man. I don’t know. I don’t know. I don’t know,” repeating “I don’t know” eight more times, before concluding, “It was what it was.”

On “The Late Show with David Letterman,” LaBeouf told the host about the director’s aggressive, “in your face” approach to work.

It turns out one of their most heated exchanges on set involved… a song by Feist.

Megan Fox will appear in Sacha Baron Cohen’s The Dictator, the comedian’s latest spoof based on a book supposedly written by Saddam Hussein about a monarch in the Middle East.

According to Paramount, “The film tells the heroic story of a dictator who risked his life to ensure that democracy would never come to the country he so lovingly oppressed.”

Fox’s role is being kept under wraps for now.

John C. Reilly, Anna Faris and Ben Kingsley will also make cameos in the film.

Cohen will play both the dictator and the lookalike goat herder who replaces him.

The movie is set for a May 2012 release.

Steven Spielberg directed Michael Bay to fire Megan Fox from the Transformers franchise after she compared Bay to Hitler in a magazine interview, a new book reveals.

In an excerpt from “Blow-Up: An Oral History of the Most Explosive Director of All Time” published in GQ, Bay says Fox’s comment to British publication Wonderland that he “wants to be like Hitler on his sets, and he is” was the final straw.

“She was in a different world [during rehearsals for Transformers: Dark of the Moon], on her BlackBerry,” recalls Bay. “You gotta stay focused.”

“And you know, the Hitler thing. Steven said, ‘Fire her right now.’”

According to co-star Shia LaBeouf, Fox crossed the line.

“Criticism is one thing. Then there’s public name-calling, which turns into high school bashing. Which you can’t do,” says LaBeouf in the book. “She started sh*t-talking our captain.”

Bay claims it was all business, not personal.

“I wasn’t hurt, because I know that’s just Megan,” says the director. “Megan loves to get a response. And she does it in kind of the wrong way.”

“I’m sorry, Megan. I’m sorry I made you work twelve hours. I’m sorry that I’m making you show up on time. Movies are not always warm and fuzzy.”

Rosie Huntington-Whiteley replaced Fox in the new sequel and earns praise from LaBeouf, Bay and producers in the book.

Fox declined to comment for the story.

It has been a banner year for Lopez, who Gossip Cop was the first outlet to report was joining “American Idol” along with Steven Tyler.

Lopez’s music career is hot again with her latest single “On the Floor” and the upcoming release of her album, “Love?”

People will announce its “Most Beautiful” cover star on April 13.

Simon Cowell will be back for the Super Bowl.

The former “American Idol” judge is slated to appear in a 30-second commercial, airing during the game, that will promote the upcoming U.S. version of “X Factor.”

This year, 30-second spots during the Super Bowl cost around $3 million (or what Cowell would call “pocket change”).

X17Online just has to know, especially when the site has assembled such a (cough) strong case to support its speculation.

Let’s look at the, um, evidence.

“Call me crazy but Megan Fox and Brian Austin Green got married not too long ago; she’s not working on Transformers 3 so maybe the pair are starting a family!” declares the outlet.

Well, it is true that Fox and Green got married in June, and it is true she won’t be part of the new Transformers sequel.

But neither of those things made ridiculous rumors last summer of Fox getting ready to become a mom true.

Ah, but X17Online gives us another tidbit to ponder.

Fox was spotted yesterday in “a loose-fitting t-shirt and puffy jacket,” and to the hyperventilating site it “seeeeeems like there could be the beginnings of a baby bump under there.”

The longtime couple, who wed in late June, “are already in marriage counseling,” alleges In Touch.

What seems to be the issue?

The mag claims the couple is “having some trouble adjusting to life as husband and wife, so they decided to be proactive about their problems and consult a therapist.”

Adds a so-called friend, “It is the usual stuff, fights about money, having kids and making each other the priority.”

Hmm.

Perhaps it’s In Touch that could use some counseling – like on how to be better reporters.

A source close to Fox and Green, who recently gushed to Details on how wonderful his relationship is, assures Gossip Cop it’s “not true,” and the two aren’t in counseling or having problems –  except for the ones created by tabs like In Touch.

Sandra Bullock is still riding high, and now she’s got a new Teen Choice Award surfboard to continue on her wave.

Bullock surprised the audience when she stepped onto the stage last night at the Teen Choice Awards to accept her award for Choice Movie Actress in a Drama for her work in The Blind Side.

The Oscar-winning actress, who was casually dressed in a grey T-shirt and black leather pants, joked when she hit the stage at the Universal Amphitheater in Los Angeles, “I don’t know if you should bring attention to this. Some things are better left unsaid. It’s been awhile since I was a teen.”

And after accepting her surfboard award, Bullock brought onstage her friend Betty White, who she cracked hasn’t been a teen “since 1919.”

The two women then hysterically got down to Lil Jon’s “Get Low.”

Other winners from the Teen Choice Awards were “Gossip Girl” stars Chace Crawford and Leighton Meester for Choice Drama TV Actor and Actress, respectively, and Megan Fox (Choice Female Hottie), and Taylor Lautner (Choice Male Hottie).

It was a big night in general for vampires with The Twilight Saga and “Vampire Diaries” winning a combined 18 Teen Choice surfboards.

The awards show, hosted by Katy Perry – who does a number of funny bits – airs tonight on Fox.

Megan Fox has donated her fee for appearing in Eminem‘s “Love The Way You Lie” video to a shelter for abused women, a rep for the actress confirms to Gossip Cop.

While the rep would not disclose the exact amount Fox donated to Sojourn, a shelter which helps battered women and their children, we’re told the actress’ gift was quite generous.

The song, performed by Eminem and featuring Rihanna, which was the basis for the video starring Fox and Dominic Monaghan, is a first-person account of an abusive relationship.

“Love The Way You Lie” is slated to premiere tonight on MTV, right before “Jersey Shore.”

Some outlets should know better than to try to make a wizard disappear.

A rumor that Harry Potter star Emma Watson has been dropped as the face of fashion house Burberry in favor of Transformers beauty Rosie Huntington-Whiteley is everywhere this morning.

Sky News reported that Watson had helped boost sales for the company over the course of their partnership, but was going to be “sidelined” for a future campaign. Soon enough, Parade.com and other major sites perpetuated the story that Watson was “canned.”

But Gossip Cop found out the Hogwarts heroine’s supposed ouster is hogwash.
