A “friend” of the singer reveals, “Christina is telling us that she’d love to marry Matt. She’s absolutely consumed with him and can’t stand to be apart for even a minute.” Really?

“Christina Aguilera’s career has suffered a series of humiliating setbacks recently,” says Star magazine, which goes on to report, “And now her romance with boyfriend Matt Rutler may be history – unless she quits ‘The Voice.’”

An “insider” for the mag explains, “The first few months of their relationship, it was all about wining and dining and traveling first class around the world… but ever since Christina started working on ‘The Voice,’ she’s consumed with the show.” Rutler’s so fed up, he supposedly gave Aguilera an ultimatum, telling her “she needed to choose between him and ‘The Voice.’” So what did she decide?

The case against Christina Aguilera’s boyfriend Matthew Rutler has officially been thrown out, Gossip Cop is reporting exclusively. As we previously reported, Aguilera and Rutler were arrested on March 1; she for public intoxication, he for driving under the influence.

Perez Hilton has a post today in which he claims Aguilera may be a judge on the upcoming U.S. version of “X Factor.” According to the blogger, Aguilera joins Cheryl Cole “as a top contender to judge the U.S. X-Factor.” He even quotes a source saying, “Although Simon [Cowell] is desperate for Cheryl to join him on the judging panel, bosses just aren’t convinced.” However, says Perez’s source, “Christina is the one all bosses are agreed on. Really?
