Lindsay Lohan has to stay in rehab until January 3, a court has ruled in today’s probation violation hearing.

Judge Elden Fox is NOT throwing her in jail.

He is reportedly impressed by her progress but feels that Lohan is an addict.

She nodded at his pronouncement.

“You’re staying past the New Year’s,” said Fox. “There’s a reason for that.”

Judge Fox rejected the district attorney’s desire to send the actress to jail for six months. He reviewed filings from both rehab and probation officials, as well as a letter from Lohan herself.

She cried in relief when the decision was made.

Lindsay Lohan may leave rehab tomorrow.

Judge Elden Fox will reportedly issue an order at 8:30 AM Wednesday after an unexpected Monday court appearance by Lohan attorney Shawn Chapman Holley. The order was originally anticipated for Tuesday.

Observers believe that Fox plans to free Lohan from her UCLA rehab stint.

Lindsay Lohan is likely to be released from her court-ordered rehab stint early, according to RadarOnline.com.

The prosecutor in Lohan’s case, Danette Meyers, tells the site the actress will probably be freed from her UCLA Medical Center stay before the official 90-day sentence comes to an end.

Judge Marsha Revel, the woman responsible for imposing Lindsay Lohan’s jail sentence and 90-day rehab stay, has removed from herself from the case.

Revel is facing accusations that she contacted “participants and experts” related to the case without notifying lawyers in advance.

After spending 13 days behind bars at the all-women’s Century Regional Detention Facility in Lynwood, California, Lindsay Lohan was released from jail at 1:35 a.m., and head to rehab at the UCLA Medical Center.

Lohan slipped out of a back entrance of the jail, and avoided the media. Did she spend enough time behind bars or not enough?

Lindsay Lohan has met with representatives from rehabilitation facilities as she comes to the end of her jail stint, according to a report.

The starlet and officials from multiple rehab alternatives met last weekend at Lynwood Correctional Facility, TMZ is claiming, although it is still not clear whether Judge Marsha Revel will allow Lohan a short period of freedom between jail and rehab.
