Michael Blosil, the 18-year-old son of Marie Osmond who jumped to his death on Friday night in Los Angeles, reportedly left behind a note and alerted a female friend by text.

At around 9:00 PM, Blosil sent his friend, a fellow resident in his downtown apartment building with whom he had plans, a text message telling her he’d left a note in his apartment. His roommates let her into the eighth-floor residence, where together they discovered a note from Blosil discussing “things he would be doing for the very last time” and calling the woman “his only good friend in L.A.”

A representative for Marie Osmond has released a statement on behalf of her client, whose son, Michael Blosil, committed suicide last night.

“My family and I are devastated and in deep shock by the tragic loss of our dear Michael and ask that everyone respect our privacy during this difficult time.”

Marie Osmond has “gone back to her first husband Stephen Craig,” claims the National Enquirer. Osmond began managing their son Steve’s music career and “realized she’d have to make peace with her ex,” according to a “family friend.” But what began as friendly socializing has since “blossom[ed] into romance” with the man whom Osmond divorced in 1985.
