Two months ago, Gossip Cop was the first outlet to report that David Beckham was going to file a lawsuit against In Touch over a cover story in which the tabloid alleged the soccer great had slept with a $10,000-a-night hooker.

Also named in the lawsuit was Irma Nici, the prostitute who claimed she had five paid sexual encounters with Beckham in 2007, including one in which another hooker was involved.

Now In Touch – in an effort to show the court that it believes its claims are accurate – has filed papers in California, alleging Beckham has a “reputation for adultery.”

True to his word, David Beckham has filed a lawsuit in Los Angeles Superior Court against In Touch magazine over a cover story in which the tabloid alleged the soccer great had slept with a $10,000-a-night hooker. In court papers, Beckham accuses In Touch’s parent company, Bauer Publishing, of libel, slander and intentional infliction of emotional distress. What do you think of Beckham suing In Touch?
