Sean Bean was reportedly stabbed outside a London pub on Sunday evening after getting into a confrontation with a male patron.

The ‘Lord of the Rings’ and “Game of Thrones” actor was smoking a cigarette outside Hill Bar and Brasserie with Playboy bunny April Summers when a man began making inappropriate comments about his companion, reports the Daily Mail.

Bean allegedly confronted the man, and thought he’d settled the matter until the man returned and attacked him, allegedly punching him in the face and stabbing him in the arm with broken glass.

Peter Jackson has posted a 10-minute video taking viewers behind the scenes as filming begins on The Hobbit, the two-movie epic scheduled to hit theaters in 2012 and 2013.

Peter Jackson is in stable condition in the intensive care unit of a New Zealand hospital.

The “Lord of the Rings” director underwent surgery for a perforated ulcer last Wednesday after complaining of severe stomach pains.

A rep for Jackson said he was “doing well,” but would remain in Wellington Hospital for a few more days.

It is NOT yet confirmed, but sources claim Jackson has decided to take on the project and is hammering out a studio deal.

“Lord of the spins,” reads the headline of a story that claims, “Spider-Man actor Tobey Maguire is to star in The Hobbit.”

According to a piece in the UK newspaper, The Sun, which was picked up around the world, Maguire “will play the lead role of Bilbo Baggins in the blockbuster movie version of JRR Tolkein’s classic book,” and “signed up after quitting the Spider-Man franchise.”
