Regis Philbin says goodbye to “Live with Regis and Kelly” on November 18, and during his last week on the air he’s going to get a sendoff from some of his “favorite guests and friends.”

Among those booked on Philbin’s final week are Jimmy Fallon and Don Rickles (November 14), Donald Trump (November 15), David Letterman (November 16), and his former co-host Kathie Lee Gifford (November 17).

The final shows will also feature musical performances from Tony Bennett, Josh Groban, and Bret Michaels.

Philbin’s last day on the air will be a look-back at his nearly three decades hosting the hit morning show, along with a few surprises.

Gossip Cop has exclusively learned that Robert Pattinson, Taylor Lautner, and Peter Facinelli will promote Breaking Dawn on “Live with Regis and Kelly.”

Facinelli will appear on November 8, followed by Lautner on November 9, and then Pattinson on November 10.

On Tuesday, Gossip Cop confirmed the entire cast will tape the “Ellen DeGeneres Show” on November 14 (to air November 18), and that Kristen Stewart and Lautner were booked to appear on the “Tonight Show.”

Regis Philbin announced this morning that November 18 will be his final “Live with Regis and Kelly.”

Last January, Philbin went public with his decision to retire from the daily program, but a specific date was not determined until now.

There’s been no decision yet on a replacement to pair with co-host Kelly Ripa.

The show began its 24th season this week.

Regis Philbin announced several months ago that he’s leaving “Live with Regis and Kelly,” and now the search has begun for his replacement.

With five months to go before Philbin’s exit, three names have popped up as possible co-hosts for Kelly Ripa.

Ryan Seacrest, Andy Cohen and Mark Consuelos are all on ABC’s short list, reports the Wall Street Journal.

Both Andy Cohen, who hosts, “Watch What Happens: Live,” and Consuelos, who’s married to Ripa, have recently filled in for Philbin.

A rep for the production, however, says with Philbin not retiring until November, “It’s ridiculous at this point to be speculating about who will replace him.”

Last night, Philbin won a Daytime Emmy Award for best talk-show host.

“Regis eyes his own new show,” reads a piece in the New York Post.

According to the paper, Regis Philbin, who announced his retirement from “Live with Regis and Kelly” back in January, may be “setting himself up to compete with his soon-to-be-ex-co-host, Kelly Ripa,” and has even “begun shopping his own daytime syndicated talk show, starring himself.”

A New York Post source says Ripa “wouldn’t be happy about Regis’ return to daytime because his show would likely compete directly with her gabfest.”

Philbin’s agent declined to comment to the newspaper about its report, and Ripa’s rep told the Post, “I don’t know… She’s very supportive of whatever Regis does, so I would doubt the story.”

Gossip Cop has learned that, as of now, no show is being pitched.

“Josh Duhamel To Replace Regis On Live???” asks Perez Hilton about news that the Transformers actor may replace Regis Philbin on “Live with Regis & Kelly.”

The celebrity blogger exclaims, “Wow! We didn’t see this one coming!”

Neither did Duhamel, but more about that in a second.

According to Perez, “Source close to the production of Live With Regis and Kelly have revealed that upon Philbin’s exit from the morning talk show this summer, Josh Duhamel may be in the running to fill his vacant seat – because he’s apparently a favorite guest of [Kelly] Ripa‘s!”

“That would definitely be a pretty huge career shift for him!” adds Perez, who seems to substitute exclamation points for fact-checking.

Gossip Cop, however, spent an entire 40 seconds to check out this story, and as Duhamel’s rep tells us, there’s “no truth” to this tale.

Philbin announced he was retiring from “Live” three weeks ago.

Regis Philbin reportedly quit his daytime talk show over money.

Executives are said to have informed Philbin’s that they expected him to take a pay cut with his new contract, leading Philbin to fire his agent and exit “Live with Regis and Kelly,” according to TMZ.

The longtime co-host of announced his impending retirement on the air Tuesday morning, only moments after informing partner Kelly Ripa.

Disney-ABC Television Group has not yet named his replacement.

This week, Philbin fired Jim Griffin, his agent of 25 years.

Regis Philbin is leaving his long-running daytime talk show.

The legendary broadcaster made the announcement at the start of this morning’s “Live with Regis and Kelly.”

“This will be my last year on the show. It’s been a long time, it’s been 28 years since I’ve been here. And it was the biggest thrill of my life,” said Philbin.

“There is a time that everything must come to an end for certain people on camera, especially certain old people.”

His co-host Kelly Ripa told Philbin, “I wish I could do something to change your mind.”

The 79-year-old TV fixture will step down around the end of the summer.

No official departure date has been given.

The Disney-ABC Television Group plans to name a new partner for Ripa.

Jennifer Aniston has sparked controversy by using the word “retard” during a “Live with Regis and Kelly” interview on Thursday.

When Regis Philbin told the actress, “You’re playing dress up,” in reference to the recent photo layout in which she mimics Barbra Streisand, Aniston responded, “Yes, I play dress up! I do it for a living, like a retard!”

The star’s insensitive slip was met with strong criticism from viewers and advocacy groups. While Aniston didn’t use the word with any malice, it obviously crossed the line of good taste.

Many people think Aniston owes an apology for her remark, while others believe she should get a pass for being careless.

The tables were turned on David Letterman Friday when the late-night host appeared as a guest on “Live! With Regis and Kelly,” where he admitted he felt “depressed” after his affairs became public last October.

“You take a look at the explosion,” Letterman said, “and it knocks you down and you wake up every morning and you’re scared and you’re depressed and sad.”

The comments came towards the end of the interview, after co-host Regis Philbin asked Letterman how his home life was.

The “Late Show” host, invoking his trademark humor, replied, “I don’t know if people know about this, but I’ve had some trouble.”

But Letterman painted a brighter picture of his life today, noting that getting knocked down lets you “start looking at the pieces left of your life,” which now can “be better, in a different way.”

It’s gonna be an early morning for late night TV titan David Letterman next week.

The “Late Show” host will make a rare guest appearance on “Live with Regis and Kelly,” returning for the first time since April 2007.

Letterman isn’t known for letting interviewers turn the tables on him, but he has a long history with Regis Philbin, who co-hosts with Kelly Ripa. During his last visit, Letterman and Philbin traded stories about their bypass operations.

Since then, of course, Letterman has made more news. Viewers will have to tune in to see which set of scars Philbin chooses to discuss.

The days before “New Moon” is released are getting awfully packed with promotional appearances by its principal cast members. Gossip Cop can add another big one to the list.

Gossip Cop has just confirmed Taylor Lautner will be a guest on “The Jay Leno Show” on November 16, which will tape just a few hours before the world premiere of “New Moon” in Los Angeles.

So for those of you keeping tabs on Jacob, here’s what we know about his week:

Perez Hilton has delivered yet another “scoop,” wrongly reporting that Brody Jenner missed stepsister Khloe Kardashian’s wedding because of… his feud with Joe Francis?

According to Perez, “It’s All About Joe!” He alleges Jenner skipped the nuptials because Francis, with whom Jenner’s girlfriend Jayde Nicole had a nightclub altercation, had been invited by the Kardashians. “There (sic) continued association with him keeps Brody at odds” with his stepsisters, the blogger claims.

Yeah, not so much, Perez.

A source close to Jenner tells Gossip Cop it had NOTHING to do with Francis and everything to do with commitments Jenner made months ahead of time. He was in New York for a publicity blitz in conjunction with the season premiere of “The Hills.” The trip – which included stops on David Letterman‘s program, “Live with Regis and Kelly,” and a number of other shows – had been planned in July. Jenner only found out about the wedding with a week’s notice, and his obligations thousands of miles away didn’t allow him to attend.
