John Legend Joins Duets After Lionel Richie Drops Out

John Legend has joined ABC’s new singing competition “Duets” in place of Lionel Richie, who has exited the show.

A rep for Richie tells us he left the show due to personal scheduling conflicts.

In a network release to Gossip Cop on Monday, Legend says, “I’m thrilled to be part of ‘Duets’ and I’m looking forward to finding an undiscovered gem out there.”

Among those lending their voices and support were Celine Dion, Barbra Streisand, Wyclef Jean, Pink, Jennifer Hudson, the Jonas Brothers, Kanye West, Miley Cyrus, Tony Bennett, and Justin Bieber, to name just a few.
