The actress will play feminist Gloria Steinem in Lovelace, the Amanda Seyfried-starring biopic about porn star Linda Lovelace.

“We are withdrawing our offer from Lindsay ,” says director Matthew Wilder. But a source close to the actress tells Gossip Cop that she dropped out on her own.

Even though Lindsay Lohan is possibly facing jail time, the actress who tweeted more than a week ago, “I am working hard to overcome [addiction] and… am a work in progress,” is now taking her words about “taking responsibility” and turning them into action.

Lohan is expected to check into a rehab facility in the next few days, well in advance of her October 22 probation violation hearing. What do you think of her decision?

Lindsay Lohan may be in and out of jail, but she’s definitely still in the movie ‘Inferno.’ One of the film’s producers, Chris Henley, couldn’t confirm the production’s shooting locale or its time frame, because of Lohan’s probation violation hearing on October 22, but he did say, “We continue to support Lindsay as the acting talent we have chosen for the ‘Inferno’ movie since she is the best actress for this role.”
