For the first time since the dramatic end to his tenure as “Tonight Show” host, Conan O’Brien returned to Universal Studios on Saturday night.

O’Brien took his Legally Prohibited From Being Funny on Television tour to the Gibson Amphitheatre, only hundreds of yards from where his doomed 11:30PM NBC show used to tape.

“This is my first time back at Universal Studios since I lost my job,” O’Brien told fans, eliciting boos toward his former employers. “Don’t boo too loudly. If you listen very carefully, you can hear bad ideas being greenlit.”

Conan O’Brien is going to TBS.

Here’s what’s known at the moment:

O’Brien will be doing the show at 11:00pm four nights a week (Monday through Thursday) from Los Angeles, beginning in November.

The show doesn’t have a name yet.

A source tells Gossip Cop that “Lopez Tonight” host George Lopez reached out to O’Brien personally. Lopez’s show will move to midnight.

Negotiations are still unfinished, but it’s expected that O’Brien staples Andy Richter and Max Weinberg will be back.

CBS offered Conan O’Brien the job of hosting this year’s Tony Awards, which take place in New York on June 13, confirms his rep to Gossip Cop.
The rep added that O’Brien “passed” on the gig.

However, sources say that because of O’Brien’s exit deal with NBC, which stipulated he can’t perform on TV until September 1 – in exchange for, among other things, the nearly $45 million payout he and his former “Tonight Show” staff received – the carrot-topped comedian was unable to accept.

Could Conan O’Brien’s exile from the small screen mean a leap to the big one?

According to a report, the upcoming 30-city live comedy/music tour O’Brien is putting together may be filmed for a documentary feature.

Deadline.com says plans for a movie version of “The Legally Prohibited From Being Funny on Television Tour” have not been finalized, but that discussions are underway.

Conan O’Brien has just announced his “Legally Prohibited From Being Funny on Television Tour,” which will kick off on April 12 in Eugene, Oregon.

Over the course of two months, from April 12 to June 14, O’Brien will appear onstage in 30 cities. Joing him will be longtime sidekick Andy Richter and bandmembers from his “Tonight Show” band.
