Lady Gaga pushes the limits, but is she really planning to bare it all?

A titillating rumor making the rounds today claims the performer “wants to pose for Playboy.”

Gaga is “desperate” to appear in the famed men’s mag, according to Heat, despite the protests of her friends.

“She’s been chatting with everyone about it all week,” alleges the tab. “She’s always been a fan of Hugh Hefner‘s, and his whole sex-as-art kind of thing.”

But while she’s not afraid to be an exhibitionist, the “Paparazzi” singer will not be stripping in front of the lens for Hefner.

A source in Gaga’s camp tells Gossip Cop a Playboy shoot isn’t going to happen.

Even after Lady Gaga’s rep told Gossip Cop that stories claiming she was a hermaphrodite were “ridiculous,” this story won’t go away. Of course a rumor hasn’t hit it big until gamblers get involved.

Capitalizing on the genital confusion is bookmaker Paddy Power, who’s offering bets on Gaga’s bits. According to the company’s website, the novelty wager gives the following odds:

All Lady  1/3

Hermaphrodite  9/4

All Man  5/1

What’s crazy is that there are still so many people who believe Gaga to be as much Lord as she is Lady.

Gossip Cop has already placed its wager. Here’s one sure bet: Lady Gaga, who was nominated for a few Video Music Awards today, also packs some talent for publicity.

The Internet went gaga today over reports that Lady Gaga is a hermaphrodite.

The rumor was initially begun some time ago on a blog called Starr Trash - and popped up again on Bossip and other sites - with the outlandish singer allegedly saying, “I have both male and female genitalia, but I consider myself a female.” Gaga’s rep tells Gossip Cop, “She never said this,” and that the quote was “totally made up.”

Fair enough, but what about that video of her from this summer’s Glastonbury Festival performance in which it appears there’s a bit more to her than we expected. (Check out 1:10 into the video). It’s actually nothing more than an illusion. Her spokesman calls it all “completely ridiculous.”

Re-what-culous? Just kidding. Gossip Cop knows Gaga is 100% a Lady.
