The controversial Kitty Kelley book on Oprah Winfrey may be headed to TV.

The rights to Oprah: A Biography were bought by veteran TV movie producer Larry A. Thompson, who is shopping the project around, according to a report. Who would you like to see play Oprah?

Highly controversial author Kitty Kelley, known for best-selling, warts-and-all celebrity biographies, will release an Oprah Winfrey tell-all on April 13.

Crown Publishers announced a first printing of 500,000 copies on Thursday.

Winfrey is not involved in the project.
