Kevin Federline was rushed to a hospital in West Sydney, Australia on Monday after complaining of chest pains and a racing pulse.

The ex-husband of Britney Spears, who’s Down Under filming “Excess Baggage,” the Aussie version of weight loss reality show “Celebrity Fit Club,” was playing Australian rules football when he took ill.

A rep for the show said in a statement, “Kevin Federline has been taken to hospital after the show’s medic was concerned about his high pulse rate. As a precautionary move, the medic called an ambulance, which took him to Mt Druitt hospital where he is undergoing further tests.”

Federline spent the night in the hospital for observation.

This is the second time Federline has been hospitalized while filming the reality show. Back in December, he collapsed due to heat stress in Australia’s Outback.

“Britney Spears isn’t wasting any time since getting engaged to her former agent Jason Trawick,” reports the National Enquirer, which goes on to claim the pop icon is “eloping on Valentine’s Day to Hawaii.”

According to a so-called “source” for the tabloid, “She can’t wait, and she wants to do it her way — small and intimate.”

The supposed insider says that Spears’ parents, Jamie and Lynne, started to plan a “big, traditional wedding at their Louisiana home” when she and Trawick got engaged in December, but the singer “freaked out” and said “no.”

Adds the source, “Britney said maybe they could have a large reception later, but the wedding will be for just her and Jason.”

The covert nuptials will supposedly be held in Maui, where Spears often vacationed with ex-husband Kevin Federline, notes the mag.

Apparently, Spears’ elopement plans are so top secret… that not even she or Trawick know about it!

Britney Spears’ ex-husband has nothing but kind things to say about her recent engagement to beau Jason Trawick.

“I’m really happy for her,” Kevin Federline told Australia’s TV Week.

Federline, the father of Spears’ two sons, said he’s spoken with Trawick “quite a few times” and approves of his ex’s choice.

“He seems like a really good guy,” Federline said. “The kids speak highly of him [and] her family loves him.”

Both Federline and Spears have come a long way since their tumultuous split in 2006 and the pop star’s meltdowns during the next two years.

Reflecting on the “very, very, very dramatic times,” Federline said his kids’ safety was his top priority.

“But at the same time, it tears my heart to pieces to watch your ex go through that, let alone watch anybody go through that,” he said.

Now, it seems, all parties have emerged stronger – and happier.

In August, Federline welcomed a daughter with longtime girlfriend Victoria Prince.

“It’s really good once you’re able to move on with life,” he told the magazine. “I mean, Victoria’s the best person in the world. It took me going through the things that I went through to find a person like her.”

“She’s more than I could ever have hoped for,” Federline added. “Hopefully Britney feels the same way.”

Britney Spears and Jason Trawick are engaged, a source confirms to Gossip Cop!

The proposal happened last night.

“She’s very happy and they’ll be celebrating this weekend,” a source close to Spears tells Gossip Cop.

The pair plans to begin with a party on Friday in Las Vegas.

Spears hinted at the news this morning, tweeting, “OMG. Last night Jason surprised me with the one gift I’ve been waiting for. Can’t wait to show you! SO SO SO excited!!!!”

She and Trawick been dating for more than two years.

He worked as Spears’ agent until last May, when he left William Morris Endeavor to join a start-up company named Famos.

Spears has been married twice before — to Jason Alexander in 2004 (a union that was quickly annulled), and later that year to Kevin Federline, from whom she filed for divorce in 2006.

Pauly D performed as Britney Spears‘ opening act last August, and now the pop star’s Femme Fatale Tour could serve as the backdrop for part of Pauly’s new reality show.

The “Jersey Shore” personality will reportedly bring cameras from his upcoming spinoff series to Spears’ December 10 show in Puerto Rico.

A source tells Gossip Cop that the filming production has not been fully set, but expects Spears’ concert to be involved in some way.

Reality TV enthusiasts will recall that Spears and her then-husband Kevin Federline starred in and produced their own home video-based series called “Britney & Kevin: Chaotic” in 2005.

“Niece’s video gets Britney in HOT WATER,” reads a headline from the National Enquirer, which claims that Britney Spears‘ ex-husband, Kevin Federline, “blasted the pop princess for plugging her 3-year-old niece’s sexy YouTube video.”

The mag says Federline “blew up” after Spears posted the clip, which shows her sister Jamie Lynn Spears‘s daughter Maddie covering her aunt’s new song “Up N’ Down.”

According to a so-called “source” for the tabloid, “Kevin told Britney, ‘What were you thinking by exposing the kid to millions of people singing one of your sexy songs. She’s only three!”

Supposedly, Federline now fears Spears “will push their sons Sean, 5, and Jayden, 4, into showbiz.”

Adds the “source,” “He said that if Britney ever taped the boys singing or dancing and put them on YouTube, he’d take her to court.”

Whoa!

If it seems like this showdown never actually happened, that’s because… it didn’t.

A rep for Spears tells Gossip Cop the story is simply “not true.”

In Touch reports, “Britney Spears is devastated after Kevin Federline breaks the news that he and his girlfriend are having a baby girl.”

Despite being a woman who “has everything” — from two adorable sons and a loving boyfriend to a successful career and a multimillion-dollar home — the mag says it was “like a cruel twist of fate when Britney learned that Kevin’s girlfriend, Victoria Prince, is expecting a bouncing baby girl.”

Why?

According to the tab, Spears has been “yearning” and “desperate” for a daughter.

“When Victoria got pregnant, Britney was jealous to begin with, but the fact that it’s a girl is really killing her,” says an alleged source for the magazine.

It’s that serious?

In Touch claims Spears’ “inner circle” has hatched a plan to help keep her mind off the impending birth of the Federline daughter: “They think she needs to be away when the baby is born,” notes a so-called insider, “so it’s at their recommendation she’s going on tour.”

Wait. Spears, who’s on the road in support of her “Femme Fatale” album, wouldn’t be touring if Federline’s girlfriend was expecting a boy?

A rep for Spears assures Gossip Cop the singer is not “devastated” her ex is having a girl, and that the In Touch story is “not true.”

That’s hardly a surprise since this is the same tabloid that wrongly reported in the past two weeks that Spears can’t go out after concerts and is banned from having another baby.

Britney Spears is getting fat-dissolving shots and plans to have a boob job as part of a $50,000 full-body makeover, alleges the National Enquirer.

Spears allegedly “flipped out” after hearing that ex-husband Kevin Federline and his girlfriend Victoria Prince were expecting a baby, leading her to seek treatments to regain her “hottie” body.

The Enquirer doesn’t really explain why Prince’s pregnancy “devastated” Spears and “rocked” her into pursuing a new body, but the tabloid’s sources insist she’s already begun LipoDissolve injections.

But that’s supposedly just the start, claims the Enquirer, which cites an “insider” as saying, “She wants new boobs and plans to have liposuction treatments to sculpt her thighs and remove fat on her back and arms.”

According to the magazine, Spears “hopes to have all the cosmetic work done prior to the start of rehearsals for her Femme Fatale tour.”

In other words, if the pop star is in good shape for her concerts, expect the Enquirer to claim it’s only because she had surgery.

As per usual, the tabloid is desperate to create Britney drama, even when there isn’t any.

A rep for the star tells Gossip Cop the “total body makeover” story is “complete garbage.”

Charlie Sheen‘s porn star friend Kacey Jordan reportedly used to babysit Britney Spears‘ kids.

Jordan, who was part of Sheen’s drugs and alcohol binge, claims that after Spears and Kevin Federline split up, she briefly dated K-Fed and even babysat Sean Preston and Jayden James.

“I watched the kids,” Jordan told TMZ, explaining that she took care of Spears’ tykes “when Kevin was dealing with the divorce. He was busy with going to so many meetings with lawyers… They were great.”

Borrowing from In Touch is never a good sign.

That’s what the National Enquirer does with an absurd item linking Britney Spears to Mel Gibson. Previously, In Touch had tried a similar tack, claiming the scandalized actor-director was “pouring his heart out” to Spears during numerous nighttime phone calls. Gossip Cop busted that foolishness.

But the Enquirer takes things to the next level, reporting that it’s Spears who is reaching out to Gibson, leaving prayers on his voice mail and calling him daily with reminders of his support during her rough 2008.

“She’s convinced that he’s listening to her prayers, and those prayers will now help him,” a “source” tells the tabloid, which calls Spears Gibson’s “guardian angel.”

And not only does Spears empathize with Gibson’s experience of being “dragged through the mud,” says the Enquirer source, “She also sees Oksana [Grigorieva] as a user who had a baby with Mel for money and fame. She believes Oksana is playing the victim, just like her ex-husband Kevin Federline did.”

We have to admit that we did NOT anticipate seeing Kevin Federline’s name pop up in the Mel Gibson firestorm.

In any case, the bogus story about Spears throwing Gibson a line is no more accurate than the one about Gibson pouring out his heart. A source very close to the pop superstar tells Gossip Cop she and Gibson are not in contact.

We can’t wait to hear about a blossoming Grigorieva-Federline friendship.

The National Enquirer has shamelessly stirred rumors about troubled pregnancies before, but it really, really lowers the bar this week with a reprehensible “exclusive” about Britney Spears and her reported “abortion nightmare.”

The pop princess supposedly cried, “I killed my baby!” during a “recent emotional meltdown,” according to the supermarket tab’s so-called “insider.” What’s the context? The Enquirer claims Spears and ex-husband Kevin Federline “briefly reunited” during the holidays two years ago, resulting in a pregnancy that Spears allegedly terminated in despair when Federline denied being the father.

The same “insider” explains that the decision is something Spears “really regrets,” and that the pain “is magnified” around the holidays. Spears is also “still pining” for Federline and “increasingly jealous” over his relationship with girlfriend Victoria Prince.

Especially upsetting, according to the Enquirer? That Prince “recently learned she was pregnant with Kevin’s child.”

Let’s stop this right here.

Prince is NOT pregnant. Several weeks ago the Enquirer (wrongly) claimed she that was. Gossip Cop busted it then.

And this despicable “abortion nightmare” piece also illustrates Spears’ supposed baby anguish with a photo of her crying… a photo that the Enquirer‘s sister publication, Star, uses this week to bolster an apparent argument Spears had on December 15 with Jason Trawick.

Light on facts, based on its own since-debunked reporting, misleading in its photos, and shameless in its exploitation… this Enquirer piece is the real “nightmare.”

This is just classic.

A couple of weeks ago, Star magazine pretended Britney Spears had announced she and Jason Trawick planned to marry, printing a bizarre piece in which Spears was already preparing wedding aisle choreography inspired by the YouTube sensation of a couple dancing to Chris Brown‘s “Forever.”

Gossip Cop cut off the music, politely noting that there were no wedding plans.

Well, surprise, surprise! Now Star has a story declaring, “Weeping Britney tells Jason… The Wedding’s Off!”

What a deliciously convenient way to back out of earlier claims!

According to the magazine, the Spears-Trawick relationship suddenly “is turning Toxic.” A “family insider” tells the rag the pop princess recently called ex-husband Kevin Federline in tears after Trawick supposedly pushed for alone time with Spears, and made her “cancel picking up their sons, Preston and Jayden.” Feeling like she’d been forced to “give up a night with her boys” was “the last straw,” so Spears “made the heart-wrenching decision to tell Jason that their wedding won’t happen!”

Now “the warring couple’s marriage is on indefinite hold” as Spears and Trawick allegedly bicker on a range of issues.

Gossip Cop has seen this trick before, and we’re sure we’ll see it again. Tabloids feel like they can get away with making up whatever they like (in this case, a fictional wedding), because they can always undo the rumors with equally lame follow-up stories (in this case, a called-off fictional wedding).

Well, they used to be able to get away with it.

Apparently “warming to the idea” of marrying Britney Spears, Jason Trawick supposedly decided to pave the way by arranging a summit with her ex, Kevin Federline, according to a bizarre item in The National Enquirer.

The supermarket tab claims Trawick set up a “hush-hush meeting” with Federline, “seeking his blessing” as the future stepfather to Sean and Jayden, Federline’s two sons with Spears. At this alleged session, the Enquirer reports Trawick professed his love for Spears and adoration for the two boys, and “respectfully asked [Federline's] blessing as a future co-parent.”

The tab reports “the secret Britney Summit was a smash success, ending in a big man-hug.”

It all sounds wonderful… too bad it never happened. The secret summit, the blessing, the man-hug – none of it actually took place. Federline’s representative told Gossip Cop the summit story is “totally fake.”

The National Enquirer‘s lame “exclusive” about Britney Spears collapsing Down Under collapses under scrutiny.

The supermarket tab claims Spears was so “distraught over being separated from her sons,” who remained in the U.S., she suffered an emotional breakdown upon arrival in Australia. A so-called “source” tells the Enquirer, “When Britney arrived in Australia, she collapsed… She took to bed in her hotel room and just sobbed and slept.”

According to this person’s version of events, after touching down in Perth on November 4, Spears complained of a migraine headache, “refused to get out of bed to practice or do a dress rehearsal for her first concert,” and constantly called ex Kevin Federline to speak to her boys, 4-year-old Sean and 3-year-old Jayden.

The tab claims Federline “relented” and agreed to let Sean and Jayden fly to Australia with Spears beau Jason Trawick on November 10 only after her father Jamie “stepped in” and called Federline after “getting word that Britney was going to blow the tour unless her boys joined her… He was afraid she’d be sued for failing to live up to her performance contracts.”

Gossip Cop hears lots of rumors about Spears every week, but one thing that’s never debated is her work ethic during this big professional comeback. And while she may have missed her children when the Australian leg of her Circus tour began, the entire Enquirer premise is dubious.

A source closed to Spears told Gossip Cop the tabloid’s account is “absurd.” The source explained, “The kids were always scheduled to be with her. There was no emotional breakdown.”

Was it a case of “Oops… I did it again” for Britney Spears ex Kevin Federline?

The National Enquirer claims the four-time father is about to add a fifth, courtesy of girlfriend Victoria Prince.

An “insider” tells the supermarket tab Prince “suspected she was pregnant” in mid-October, took a home pregnancy test at Federline’s urging, and “the test was positive.” The results allegedly upset Federline, who was “worried” how Spears would take the news, and loves Victoria but “didn’t want to get married again.”

Actually, we’re pretty sure Federline is resting easy. Because Prince is NOT pregnant. A representative for Federline tells Gossip Cop the rumors “are not true.”

How desperate must things be at the Enquirer if they can’t even pin a pregnancy on Kevin Federline?
