Superheroes beat out the Wolfpack at this weekend’s box office.

“X-Men: First Class” earned $54 million for the top spot, making it the best-ever opening for a movie about mutants’ involvement in the Cuban Missile Crisis.

“The Hangover Part II” continued to do well in its second week, raking in $33.5 million to come in second.

Waking up dazed and confused has never been so profitable.

“The Hangover Part 2″ scored HUGE at the box office, with a Memorial Day Weekend total of $105 million, making it the best opening in history for an R-rated comedy. Bradley Cooper, Ed Helms and Zach Galifianakis’ romp through Bangkok easily takes the top spot.

“Kung Fu Panda 2″ and “Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides” came in second and third with $62 million and $53 million, respectively. What did you see this holiday weekend?

“Thor” hammered the competition in its opening weekend to earn $66 million and the #1 spot.

The Chris Hemsworth-Natalie Portman comic book adaptation more than doubled the box office take of last week’s champ, “Fast Five,” which sped to second place with $32.5 million in ticket sales. What did you see this weekend?
