Joseph Gordon-Levitt has reportedly been tapped to reteam with his “Inception” director, Christopher Nolan, for a role in “The Dark Knight Rises.”

Gossip Cop is investigating, and has sought an official confirmation from the film’s studio, Warner Bros.

While Gordon-Levitt was wrongly reported to have been set to play The Riddler, Variety claims he’ll play Alberto Falcone, son of mobster Carmine Falcone, played by Tom Wilkinson in “Batman Begins.”

Tom Hardy is close to joining the next ‘Batman’ movie.

A source close to the star tells Gossip Cop that he’s slated for an undetermined lead role.

Negotiations began quickly after Hardy’s ‘Mad Max: Fury Road’ was delayed. We’re told the rising British actor was soon flooded with offers, but that he jumped at ‘Batman 3.’

Inception star Joseph Gordon-Levitt’s older brother, Dan Gordon-Levitt, has passed away.

The actor announced on Twitter the death of “Burning Dan,” who was a fire-spinning artist and flow arts teacher at Flow Temple Arts School in Venice Beach, Calif.

“My super hero brother @burningdan 1974-2010,” tweeted Gordon-Levitt. The cause of death has not yet been confirmed.

According to the National Enquirer, the rapper has asked his team to get him a shot at The Riddler in the next ‘Batman’ sequel.

“Producers are piqued at the prospect of a Rappin’ Riddler,” claims the tab, which mentions that actors like Joseph Gordon-Levitt are also in the running.
