Joseph Gordon-Levitt has reportedly been tapped to reteam with his “Inception” director, Christopher Nolan, for a role in “The Dark Knight Rises.”

Gossip Cop is investigating, and has sought an official confirmation from the film’s studio, Warner Bros.

While Gordon-Levitt was wrongly reported to have been set to play The Riddler, Variety claims he’ll play Alberto Falcone, son of mobster Carmine Falcone, played by Tom Wilkinson in “Batman Begins.”

Negotiations began quickly after Hardy’s ‘Mad Max: Fury Road’ was delayed. We’re told the rising British actor was soon flooded with offers, but that he jumped at ‘Batman 3.’
