Jon Bon Jovi can sure dish it out, and doesn’t want you to pay (full price) for it.
Along with his wife, Dorethea, the rocker today opened a restaurant in Red Bank, New Jersey called The Soul Kitchen, where patrons pay what they can.
“This is not a soup kitchen,” stressed the singer. “There’s no prices on our menu, so if you want to come and you want to make a difference, leave a $20 in the envelope on the table. If you can’t afford to eat, you can bus tables, you can wait tables, you can work in the kitchen as a dishwasher” or even volunteer at a local food pantry in exchange for a meal at The Soul Kitchen.
