Cliff Robertson, whose film career spanned from the 1950s until just a few years ago, has died of natural causes.

The stage, TV and film actor won an Academy Award in 1968 for his portrayal of a mentally disabled man in “Charly.” Robertson was 88.

Leonardo DiCaprio is set to star in and produce “Legacy of Secrecy,” based on the book by Lamar Waldron and Thom Hartmann about the assassination of President John F. Kennedy.

In the film, DiCaprio will play real-life FBI informant Jack Van Laningham, who befriended Carlos Marcello, a mafia boss who reportedly confessed to being involved in the president’s 1963 murder.
