Project X follows three high school students (via “amateur footage”) as they inadvertently throw the most insane party in the history of insane high school parties.

The actors are mostly unknowns, but the film is produced by The Hangover maestro Todd Phillips, and the trailer features a cameo from Jimmy Kimmel.

It opens in March.

After Kanye West expounded on Twitter about his new design company DONDA, Jimmy Kimmel got ahead of the rapper and created a faux commercial for West’s ambitious venture.

Before unveiling the ad, the comedian joked that West’s project is “to bring together all the inventors, designers, creators and thinkers of the world so that he can show them how much better he is than they are.”

The commercial splices together DONDA’s “mission statement” to “galvanize amazing thinkers” and “make products and experiences for people” with some of the rapper’s greatest tweets, such as “I just threw some kazoo on this b*tch” and “my favorite unit(e) of measurement is ‘a sh*tload.’”

Jimmy Kimmel invited the four judges from “The X Factor” to his couch on Monday, and immediately began grilling them about last week’s controversial elimination of Rachel Crow.

The host called the 13-year-old contestant’s dismissal a “travesty” and lambasted “stupid America” for voting her off the program.

Not surprisingly, L.A. Reid and Simon Cowell disagreed on this point.

Kimmel also brought up the video of Paula Abdul encouraging Nicole Scherzinger to let the judges tie on the decision.

“I own the decision that I made,” said Scherzinger.

On a lighter note, Kimmel asked whether Abdul and Cowell have had a sexual relationship and introduced the hilarious “L.A. Reid Chair Dancin’” DVD.

Just hours after a fourth woman accused him of sexual harassment, Republican presidential candidate Herman Cain ventured onto “Jimmy Kimmel Live.”

And the host did not avoid the issue.

“So how was your day?” joked Kimmel, before Cain had even finished sitting down.

The two men discussed the latest allegations and Cain’s plan to address them in a press conference on Tuesday.

Their conversation included references to Tiger Woods, Gloria Allred, UFOs and smoking pot.

All in all, it makes for a pretty riveting interview.

Kim Kardashian‘s brief marriage to Kris Humphries has been grist for the late night talk show hosts night after night and night.

This evening was no different.

Jay Leno, David Letterman, Jimmy Kimmel, and Jimmy Fallon again took more shots at the reality star’s 72 day union.

Highlights included…

LENO

* Leno brought up the rumors that Kardashian is “actually still in love with the [Miami] Dolphins’ Reggie Bush.” He then noted it would be smart for Bush to marry her because, “as a Dolphin, that’s the only way he’s gonna get a ring this year.”

* He also mentioned that “New Girl” star Zooey Deschanel was geting divorced after only two years, “to which Kim said ,’Show off.’”

LETTERMAN

* Letterman asked, “Whatever happened to staying together for the sake of… the reality show?”

* The talk show host said Kim’s mom stressed her daughter’s marriage was not a sham, “It was an honest to goodness publicity stunt.”

* He even brought  up how Lindsay Lohan has been in and out of jail and rehab over and over, and that “she needs to find the right guy and settle down… for 72 days.”

KIMMEL

* Kimmel asked that everyone “take a moment of silence and bow our heads” because Kim Kardashian “unfollowed” Kris Humphries on Twitter.

* He followed that up by pointing out, ”During that moment of silence the Kardashians earned $80,000.”

FALLON

* Fallon kicked off his show by saying that President Obama just “went to the G20 summit to give Europe advice on its debt crisis… That’s like J. Lo getting marriage advice from Kim Kardashian.”

At the rate the late night talk show hosts are going, they’ll be telling Kardashian jokes for far longer than her marriage lasted.

The Twilight trio – Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner – made their mark on Hollywood history today, leaving handprints at Grauman’s Chinese Theatre.

Jimmy Kimmel was on hand for the honors, as was author Stephenie Meyer, but the crowd really got going once Pattinson, Stewart and Lautner appeared.

Having thanked the franchise’s fans for making the honor possible, they plunged into cement – and Hollywood lore.

* “California passed a new law… There’s now a five-day waiting period… before Kim Kardashian can get married again.”

* He also said the sad news is that Kim and Kris are divorcing after just 72 days, “but the good news, Kim says this is the divorce she dreamed about since she was 10.”

Letterman

* Letterman noted that when Regis Philbin “steps aside they’re going to try out replacements… It’s the same thing Kim Kardashian will be doing now.”

* Of the marriage, he said, “Lasted 72 days? …I’ve had Viagra side effects that have lasted longer.”

Kimmel

* After also commenting how Kim and Kris were only married for 72 days, Kimmel said, “I really thought those two were gonna make it to, um… to Thanksgiving.”

* Kimmel said some fans felt betrayed, and now think the couple’s marriage was a fake. He then pointed out that her special was called “‘Kim and Kris’ Fairy Tale Wedding’… Key words being ‘fairy tale’… Do we also believe that ‘Jack and the Beanstalk’ was real?”

Fallon

* Fallon mentioned first that a judge on Wednesday “sentenced Lindsay Lohan to 30 days in jail for violating her probation… Or, as Kim Kardashian put it, ’30 days? That’s like four marriages.’”

* He also said Kardashian claimed her decision to get married had nothing to do with publicity and that she said, “If you don’t believe me, just talk to my publicist.”

Just because Kim Kardashian announced she was divorcing Kris Humphries after 72 days on Monday, it doesn’t mean the late night comedians were done with her after just one night of mocking her.

Jay Leno, David Letterman, Jimmy Kimmel, and Jimmy Fallon still took more shots at the reality star’s quickie marriage.

Highlights included…

Leno

* “I like shaking hands with the people in the front row [of the audience]… You share a brief moment… You have a few seconds of physical contact, then it’s over… kind of like a Kardashian wedding.”

* Leno noted that one of the problems was that Humphries wanted to live in Minnesota and Kardashian didn’t. He said during winters in Minnesota, “You free your a** off, and in Kim’s case that could be fatal.”

Letterman

* After mentioning how Humphries had only been married for 72 days to Kardashian, Letterman said, “He’s being replaced by Ashton Kutcher.”

* There was also a clip shown, calling all athletes to the “Kim Kardashian Husband Draft.”

But that wasn’t it for Letterman. He devoted his Top Ten list to “Things That Have Lasted Longer Than The Kardashian Marriage.”

* Kimmel said Halloween “came and went so fast… it’s like a Kardashian wedding.”

* He also showed footage of Rob Kardashian discussing Kim’s split after “Dancing with the Stars” on Monday. Rob said his family likes to keep “everything private,” prompting Kimmel to question, “Everything? Maybe… a thing?”

The Kim Kardashian-Kris Humphries divorce drama did not go unnoticed by late-night TV hosts on Monday (shocking!), with David Letterman, Jimmy Kimmel, Jay Leno and other comedians taking shots at the couple.

Highlights included…

Leno:

* “To their credit, they did try 20 minutes of counseling.”

* “Kim is handling it well. She says she plans to put him behind her, which ironically is what got them together.”

Letterman:

* “They started bickering at the altar… now they’re fighting over custody of the cake.”

* “They’re planning a lavish divorce at the Laguna Niguel Ritz-Carlton with 3,000 guests.”

* “Kim said it’s not really a divorce, it’s just part of a five-player trade.”

But the jab of the night might have come from Kimmel, who presented a fake E! promo for a divorce special called “Kim and Kris Kall It Kwits” that felt a little too plausible given the reality television landscape.

Jimmy Kimmel will host the 2012 White House Correspondents’ Dinner, the annual star-studded night when comedians take jabs at President Obama and other political figures.

In a statement, the late-night TV personality said he looked forward to the occasion, joking, “I love dinner.”

“Jimmy’s humor is sophisticated and edgy while appealing to a wide audience,” said White House Correspondents’ Association president Caren Bohan. “We are thrilled that Jimmy has accepted our invitation to be the featured comedian at our annual dinner.”

“Saturday Night Live” player Seth Meyers had hosting duties last April, using the platform to blast then-possible presidential candidate Donald Trump.

Other recent emcees have included Jay Leno and Stephen Colbert, who infamously mocked an unamused President Bush.

The Kimmel dinner is set to take place on April 28, 2012.

The results were predictably pervy and hilarious.

Jimmy Kimmel tearfully paid tribute to his Uncle Frank last night, choking up as he said farewell to the longtime “Jimmy Kimmel Live” fixture with a hilarious and touching montage of the late Frank Potenza‘s greatest moments.

Everyone’s favorite late-night TV uncle passed away last month, while Kimmel was on vacation.

On his first night back, Kimmel warned the audience that he’d probably cry – and he did – while discussing the beloved Frank, who’d been a major part of his nephew’s show since its 2003 debut.

“Uncle Frank loved being a part of this show. And I want to say thanks to my co-workers who talked to him and visited him and picked him up 12 hours early for work,” said Kimmel. “And thanks to all of you who came to the show and watched, for indulging me and letting me put my crazy uncle on television.”

Don Rickles, a Frank favorite, was the night’s guest.

Jimmy Kimmel is going to do a full tribute show next Tuesday to “Uncle Frank,” who died a little more than a week ago.

Frank Potenza, Kimmel’s real-life uncle, was a retired New York City police officer who served as a “security guard” and frequent comedic contributor on “Jimmy Kimmel Live.”

The tribute show is slated to feature comedy bits with “Uncle Frank,” as well as interviews he did with a slew of celebrities, including Tom Cruise. ”Uncle Frank” pal and funnyman Don Rickles will also be a guest on the special edition.

Jimmy Kimmel‘s “Uncle Frank,” who gained fame as a regular part of “Jimmy Kimmel Live!,” has died.

He was 77.

The cause of death has not been reported.

Frank Potenza, Kimmel’s real-life uncle, was a retired New York City police officer who served as “security guard” and was a beloved comedy contributor on his nephew’s show.

“Thank you for your kind words about a very kind man – my Uncle Frank – who passed away this morning,” tweeted Kimmel moments ago.

Coldplay became the latest band to pay tribute to Amy Winehouse at their Los Angeles concert last night, which doubled as a benefit show for the Grammy Foundation’s “Grammy in the Schools” program and a performance on “Jimmy Kimmel Live.”

During a three song encore, Chris Martin did a slow rendition of the “Rehab” chorus before breaking into “Fix You,” which Martin wrote for Gwyneth Paltrow to help her cope with her father’s death in 2002.

John Stamos was on ”Jimmy Kimmel Live” to talk about his production of “Hairspray” at the Hollywood Bowl, and used the opportunity to rag on Ryan Seacrest.

The former “Full House” star, in describing his “Hairspray” role to Jimmy Kimmel, said, ”I play Corny Collins, he’s sort of a DJ, he hosts a music show. Sort of like a straight Ryan Seacrest.”

Stamos taking the joke further, added, ”Ryan’s a friend… We’ve kissed.”

Just yesterday, Gossip Cop busted a false report that Seacrest was jealous about his girlfriend Julianne Hough getting too close to her hunky Rock of Ages co-star.

Katie Couric appeared on a Jimmy Kimmel special last night, a day after announcing she too would be on ABC as a news contributor and host of her own syndicated talk show.

But that’s not all.

Couric told Kimmel she’s also doing a reality series for ABC that she’s “particularly excited about that,” and which ultimately “clinched the deal” for her with the network.

The veteran newswoman explained that her reality program will be an “inside look at my life,” and cheerfully noted, “I definitely want cameras in my house.”

Chaz Bono discussed his transition to manhood with Jimmy Kimmel last night, and the host was very curious to know whether Bono planned on acquiring a penis.

“I have one, and I recommend it highly,” Kimmel tells Bono.

Bono explains that he’s waiting for technological advances, especially because donors are in short supply.

“Not that you’d want Osama bin Laden‘s penis, but they threw him overboard and wasted it,” jokes Kimmel.

In any case, much like Bono’s guest turn on David Letterman‘s show, the interview is a refreshing break from the movie and TV publicity that usually dominates late night talk shows.

Formerly “obese” stars such as Jessica Alba, Scarlett Johansson and Jessica Biel reveal how they slimmed down by adhering to Jimmy K’s simple diet plan – letting him “eat 4/5 of your food.”

Biel does the best sales job, saying, “I’m world-famous. And thanks to Jimmy K, I’m not a big fat f***ing whale.”

January Jones, Amanda Seyfried, Rebecca Romijn, Hedi Klum, Zoe Saldana, Anna Faris, Kristen Bell, and Neil Patrick Harris (as a doctor endorsing the diet) also star in the hilarious video.

Emily Maynard may have got the final rose from Brad Womack on “The Bachelor” last night, but second runner-up Ashley Hebert was also a winner.

Hebert appeared on “Jimmy Kimmel Live” following the “Bachelor” finale, where Kimmel announced that she’ll be the next “Bachelorette.”

Kimmel jokingly asked Hebert, “Do you promise, on national television, to date 25 men simultaneously without complaining? Do you promise to make sure the hot tubs are clean and have enough chlorine and their bacteria levels are low?”

Jimmy Kimmel, who was evacuated from an island in French Polynesia due to tsunami warnings earlier today, is safe and sound.

“We are back, officially ‘unevacuated,’” tweeted Kimmel. “Thanks for your kind words. It was scary. Best wishes to our friends in Japan and all affected.”

Last night, before things turned serious, the comedian joked about his bad luck, tweeting, “Suddenly, relaxing on an island in the South Pacific isn’t so relaxing anymore. Good thing I brought my aqua stilts.”

Today, however, Kimmel realized the gravity of the situation.

Asked how scared he was by a Twitter follower, the “Jimmy Kimmel Live” host replied, “a good solid 7. on a small island, with no high ground.”

Soon after, he wrote, “we are evacuating the island. dogspeed.”

Lindsay Lohan made her first acting appearance since rehab on Sunday night’s “Jimmy Kimmel Live! After the Academy Awards” – and even mocked herself.

The actress joined a slew of A-listers, including Scarlett Johansson, Minka Kelly, Jessica Biel, Emily Blunt, Kelly Ripa, Sofia Vergara, Jessica Alba, and Eva Longoria, in a mock workout infomercial, starring Jimmy Kimmel as workout guru “Jimmy K” who whips the women into shape through his “Hottie Body Humpilates” training.

Basically, the actresses – members of Kimmel’s “Hottie Body Hump Club” - all claim to have gotten toned through Kimmel’s workout routine of… humping.

At the end of the outrageous “informercial,” Kimmel says, “The Jimmy K program is so affordable, it’s practically a steal,” to which Lohan adds, “allegedly,” referring, of course, to the case in which she’s been accused of stealing a necklace.

Jimmy Kimmel has signed on to another two years, his rep confirms to Gossip Cop.

With his contract up next month, ABC locked down Kimmel to continue hosting his late-night show, ”Jimmy Kimmel Live!,” meaning the funnyman will be on the air for at least his 10th season.

Kimmel currently edges out both Jimmy Fallon and Craig Ferguson for total viewers.
