Kim Kardashian will co-host an upcoming episode of “Live with Kelly,” it was announced on Wednesday.

The reality star, who has appeared on the show previously as a guest, will join host Kelly Ripa on January 23.

The chat show has featured many celebrity guest co-hosts in recent weeks, including Jerry Seinfeld and Rob Lowe, as the search for Regis Philbin’s replacement continues.

As Gossip Cop previously reported, Lowe and ABC are in talks for him to possibly join the show as Ripa’s permanent co-host.

On Monday, Kardashian’s ex Reggie Bush had his own turn in the co-host’s chair.

Kelly Ripa is enlisting additional co-hosting help for “Live!” until a permanent replacement for Regis Philbin is found.

It was announced on Wednesday that Jerry O’Connell and Josh Groban, who have both done guest spots as co-host in the past, will be returning to the desk.

Jonah Hill and “Dancing with the Stars” pro Derek Hough will also co-host with Ripa in the coming weeks.

Jerry Seinfeld‘s three-day stint ended this morning, with Neil Patrick Harris doing a turn next week.

Philbin said goodbye to the show last Friday after 28 years, the last 11 of them with Ripa, who became emotional as they parted ways.

Howie Kohlenberg, who appeared on the very first episode of Jerry Seinfeld‘s “The Marriage Ref,” is blaming the NBC show for the breakup of his marriage.

Kohlenberg says that after he and his wife, Christine, fought on the program — which begins its second season tonight — she became fixated on cashing in on their appearance and becoming a reality star, while ditching their 14-year marriage and young son in the process.

“Jerry, Mr. Billionaire, I blame. And his show,” says Kohlenberg, who claims he’s now bankrupt and facing eviction.

Kohlenberg explains to the New York Post that he and his ex appeared on “The Marriage Ref” to “drum up some business” for their now out-of-business spa in New York. “They promised to promote the spa on air. They didn’t.”

“Our arguments were always over the business,” notes Kohlenberg, “but the argument they [producers] wanted [to present on-air] was that I took my wedding ring off when I played basketball… It wasn’t necessarily a true angle because she really didn’t care if I took it off or not.”

He adds, ”The people on the show were pumping us up, saying, ‘You’re going to wake up and be stars. You’re going to be famous and make money.’ The producer kept saying her lips looked great, and all of a sudden she was getting a lot of Botox… Now she’s getting this huge head. She wants to do Playboy.”

Kohlenberg acknowledges, “I’m not saying our marriage was perfect, but it put it in a whole new direction… She had all these ideas that ‘I have to live my life and be an actress.’”

Next, says Kohlenberg, his wife flew off to L.A., where she had a bit part in a film called Chakra Love, and then moved in with a Canadian producer.

She also appeared in a reality show pilot titled “Shopaholics.”

“Everybody thinks reality shows are glamorous — you’re going to get rich, and it’s going to be the next ‘Jersey Shore,’” says Kohlenberg. “They make you jump through hoops, the bottom line is they don’t give a s- – t. You’re just another number.”

According to the spurned husband, “The headline should read, ‘Jerry Seinfeld ruined my life: the danger of reality shows.’”

A rep for Seinfeld declined to comment.

Oprah Winfrey taped her third and second to last shows on Tuesday night in front of more than 20,000 fans inside Chicago’s United Center.

The first one-hour show was hosted by Tom Hanks, who told the talk-show queen, “Today you are surrounded by nothing but love,” before noting that “pulling off this surprise [filled show] has been a mission impossible.”

Enter Tom Cruise, who Winfrey said “looked like you were 10 when you on my show in 1988.” Cruise has been a guest one dozen times on the show.

Next up was “America’s Got Talent” phenom Jackie Evancho, who sang “Somewhere Over the Rainbow” and was joined by Josh Groban and then Patti LaBelle.

Not enough?

Madonna walked on stage and told Oprah, “You look surprised,” before adding, “Millions of people are inspired by Oprah. I am one of them… She’s a self-made woman who’s been at the top of her game for over 25 years and she is still kicking ass.”

Dakota Fanning came out next to talk about “‘Oprah Show’ Babies,” the generation who grew up watching the program and learning “that girls can run the world.”

That then segued into Beyonce, dressed in a tuxedo leotard, singing her hit, “Run the World (Girls).”

Diane Sawyer was also on hand to announce that 25,000 oak trees are being planted in honor of Oprah, who joked with the audience, “You get a tree, and you get a tree, and you get a tree. Everybody gets a tree!”

Halle Berry, Queen Latifah, and Katie Holmes came out to talk about viewers — who were in the audience — who’ve helped their communities through various charitable acts.

Holmes and Cruise then introduced Rascal Flatts, who closed out the show with a performance of “I Won’t Let You Go.”

The second taped show on Tuesday, slated to the be next to last aired “Oprah Winfrey Show,” was hosted by Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith.

And the first guest was former Chicago Bulls legend Michael Jordan, who arrived in the Windy City the same year that Oprah did.

Following the basketball great was Jamie Foxx performing “Isn’t She Lovely.” Foxx was joined on piano by Stevie Wonder, who later sang a song he wrote just for Oprah.

Jerry Seinfeld followed Wonder with a standup routine.

After Simon Cowell made a cameo that included him saying, “You are a very good kisser,” Rosie O’Donnell took the stage to sing, “Fever,” with a number of special Oprah-specific lyrics. Joining O’Donnell onstage were Oprah proteges Dr. Phil, Nate Berkus, and Dr. Oz.

And then — just hours after the shocking revelation that Arnold Schwarzenegger fathered a child out of wedlock – Maria Shriver hit the stage with Gayle King and told Oprah, “For more than 30 years, you bestowed the most amazing friendship on me, given me love, support, wisdom and most of all truth.”

Kristin Chenoweth sang a tune from “Wicked,” which was followed up by a poem Maya Angelou wrote and performed specially for Oprah. Alicia Keys then crooned the song, “Superwoman.”

In a rare public appearance, Stedman Graham took the stage to laud his longtime girlfriend. “I’m so proud of you,” he told his “sweetheart.”

Graham then introduced Aretha Franklin, who belted out “Amazing Grace.”

“I’ve never experienced anything like this,” Oprah told the massive audience, adding, “Thank you for taking me to a place that’s beyond joyous.”

But Will Smith told Oprah there was just one more remaining surprise… Usher, who performed a medley of “O.M.G.” and “Oh Happy Day” before confetti exploded across the audience.

The two taped shows will air on May 23 and May 24. Oprah’s last show is May 25.

Bill Maher was on “The Late Show with David Letterman” tonight, and, not surprisingly, conversation turned to Donald Trump‘s possible presidential candidacy.

Like fellow comedians Bill Cosby and Jerry Seinfeld (and even Charlie Sheen), Maher sounds less than enthused about the “Celebrity Apprentice” star running.

“I don’t know why we are taking him so seriously,” Maher said of Trump. “Why are we listening to this curiosity from the 80s?”

Then the comic made a comparison we’d never predict.

“It’s like opening up the paper and finding out John Wayne Bobbitt‘s severed penis is the ambassador to France.”

Wow.

Maher also believes that Trump will wind up running, while Letterman believes it’s just a publicity stunt. When Letterman suggested they bet, Maher took him up on it.

“Let’s wager – let’s wager a week’s pay. Mine against yours.”

Letterman didn’t seem to like those stakes.

Donald Trump is already feuding with Bill Cosby, the biggest sitcom star of the 1980s, so it makes sense he’d now find himself in a battle with the biggest sitcom star of the 1990s.

The current war of words began after Jerry Seinfeld decided to pull out of a benefit for the Eric Trump Foundation, the potential Republican presidential candidate’s son’s charity.

The comedian “has grown increasingly uncomfortable” with Donald Trump’s questioning of President Obama‘s citizenship, according to his rep, and “feels this kind of demagoguery has no place in public discourse.”

Instead, Seinfeld opted to make a contribution to the Trump Foundation and St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, which the September 13 event will benefit.

Papa Trump was not happy with Seinfeld’s decision, and he shot off a scathing letter to make his disgust abundantly clear.

“I just learned you canceled a show for my son’s charity, because of the fact that I am being very aggressive with respect to President Obama, who is doing an absolutely terrible job as our leader,” writes Trump.

“We don’t care that you broke your commitment, even though the children of St. Jude are very disappointed, and despite the fact that your manager clearly stated you are ‘truly a man of his word.’”

“What I do feel badly about is that I agreed to do, and did, your failed show, ‘The Marriage Ref,’ even though I thought it was absolutely terrible… Despite its poor ratings, I didn’t cancel on you like you canceled on my son and St. Jude. I only wish I did,” adds Trump.

He ends the letter by scolding, “You should be ashamed of yourself!”

Wow.

Johnny Depp will appear on Ricky Gervais‘ new sitcom, “Life’s Too Short,” confirms the comedian.

Writing on his blog, Gervais confirmed Depp’s participation while debunking a rumor that Jerry Seinfeld was set to guest star.

The show, about a talent agency for dwarves and its abrasive manager, will air on HBO and BBC2. It comes from Gervais and his longtime collaborator Stephen Merchant.

Meanwhile, Gervais and Will Arnett are set to guest star on the season finale of “The Office” on May 19.

Is tension brewing between Lady Gaga and Jerry Seinfeld?

Earlier this month, a scantily-clad Gaga greeted photographers at the New York Mets game with her middle finger and wound up moved to Seinfeld’s empty luxury suite. At the time, the comedian’s spokesperson joked to Gossip Cop, “The Seinfelds take an optimistic view of Lady Gaga’s gesture as a sign that he wants the Mets to be in first place as badly as they do.”

But a recent interview with sports radio station WFAN leads some (including Perez Hilton) to report that Seinfeld is legitimately angry with Gaga.

“This woman is a jerk. I hate her,” said Seinfeld. “I can’t believe they put her in my box, which I paid for.”

The sitcom legend expressed shock at Gaga’s behavior and consequences. “You give people the finger and you get upgraded?” he asked. “Is that the world we’re living in now?”

But is Seinfeld really ticked off at the performer? To Gossip Cop, it sounds like Seinfeld’s tone is mostly joking, and a Seinfeld insider seems to agree.

Lady Gaga struck out with the New York Yankees on Friday, but only because her timing was foul.

The singer showed up to that night’s tilt against the crosstown Mets sporting a partially unbuttoned team jersey over an exposed bra, black bottom and fishnets.

But what reportedly rankled the home squad came later, during a post-game visit to the team’s exclusive clubhouse where she allegedly chugged whiskey, slurred words, and fondled her breasts in front of a number of the players, including Alex Rodriguez.

According to the New York Post, Yankees brass “permanently banned [her] from the team’s clubhouse after her boozy antics.”

But that is not the case.

“She’s not banned,” clarifies general manager Brian Cashman. “Celebrities aren’t banned. If Michael Jordan showed up here he would have access (to the clubhouse), but not after a loss.”

It turns out the issue was one of circumstances, not personality.

“That was the wrong time and the wrong place,” said Cashman, adding that the controversy was “not her fault.”

It seems the clubhouse is still a safe place for Lady Gaga to lose her inhibitions… just not after the Yankees lose a game.

Recently, the performer caused a stir at a New York Mets game at Citi Field, where she gave fans the finger, and used Jerry Seinfeld’s luxury suite without his permission.

Gossip Cop reached out to Gaga’s representative but has yet to hear back.

Mets fans may have noticed an unusual sight at last night’s game: a scantily-clad Lady Gaga.

While a certain amount of bare flesh may be par for the course for the singer, she wasn’t just watching the home team fall to the San Diego Padres.

She was photographed giving the middle finger.

And after reportedly not being happy with her seat or the attention she was receiving, Mets officials let her into an empty luxury suite… that just happened to belong to one Mr. Jerry Seinfeld.

So what did the actor think of Gaga’s hand signal?

A spokesperson for Seinfeld and his wife, who weren’t at the game, tells Gossip Cop, “The Seinfelds take an optimistic view of Lady Gaga’s gesture as a sign that she wants the Mets to be in first place as badly as they do.”

Now that’s sportsmanship.

Paul McCartney will be feted at the White House next month when he receives the Gershwin Prize for Popular Song, the nation’s highest honor for pop music.

An all-star roster of celebrities, including the Jonas Brothers, Jerry Seinfeld, Faith Hill, Stevie Wonder, Elvis Costello and Dave Grohl of the Foo Fighters, will all appear at the June 2 concert, which will later air on PBS on July 28.

Paul Simon was the first recipient of the award in 2007 and Wonder won last year.

Jerry Seinfeld‘s Thursday night show, “The Marriage Ref,” in which a panel of celebs offers how to resolve issues between married couples, is being renewed for next season, NBC announced today.

The Peacock network ordered 10 episodes for next season, and an additional three installments for this year.

The show is hosted by comedian Tom Papa.

Panelists who have offered their marital advice on the show this season have included Alec Baldwin (divorced), Larry David (divorced), and Madonna (divorced).

Matt Damon will make a guest appearance on “30 Rock,” Gossip Cop has confirmed.

Supposedly at the top of star Tina Fey‘s celebrity guest wish list and thrilled to hear it, Damon is going to be part of one of the NBC sitcom’s final episodes this season, a rep for the actor tells Gossip Cop.

“30 Rock” has snagged a number of high-profile guest stars in the past, including Al Gore and Jerry Seinfeld.

Damon worked with cast member Alec Baldwin in The Departed.

Madonna is slated to make a rare TV appearance as a panelist on Jerry Seinfeld‘s new NBC show, “Marriage Ref,” where celebs decide who’s right and who’s wrong in disputes between real husbands and wives.

One can argue that having been divorced twice, Madonna may not be the best authority on marriage, though the flip side is what she learned from having been wed to Guy Ritchie and Sean Penn may help when advising married couples.

Other celebrity panelists to appear on the show, which premieres February 28, include Eva Longoria, Tina Fey, Larry David (divorced), and Alec Baldwin (divorced).

The only thing that makes us laugh harder than Conan O’Brien is the latest crazy rumor about his show.

In a piece about O’Brien’s lagging “Tonight Show” ratings, PopEater.com reaches deep into its bag of “WHAT??” and pulls out this gem: ”NBC has their eyes on replacing him with none other than their golden boy, Jerry Seinfeld.”

Come again?

According to the PopEater rumor, “informal discussions have started” within NBC headquarters as to who would be “the home-run replacement” for O’Brien. And Seinfeld is “the name on everyone’s wish list.”

Um, yeah… Gossip Cop finds it just a little hard to believe that months into O’Brien’s tenure, NBC would be in talk show “replacement” conversations with sitcom icon Seinfeld, whose show left the network eleven years ago.

Seinfeld’s rep told Gossip Cop any “Tonight Show” talk is “very far fetched.” At the moment, he’s focused on his own new show, “The Marriage Ref,” which he’s executive producing.

And a source at the “Tonight Show” called the report “ridiculous” and “completely untrue.”

We’re not sure how basic cable’s TV Land and TV Guide Network are going to air scenes with the f-bomb dropping Susie Essman, but the two networks are acquiring the rights to air Larry David’s hit HBO series, “Curb Your Enthusiasm.”

“Curb,” which also stars Cheryl Hines and Jeff Garlin – and often has cameos by such stars as Ted Danson, Richard Lewis, and even Jerry Seinfeld last night — will begin airing on the TV Guide Network come February 2010, and on TV Land as early as 2013.

Whether they edit out Essman’s curses or dub in the word “freak,” Gossip Cop is psyched about the new deal.
