Last month, Gossip Cop was the first outlet in the world to report that “American Idol” producers had offered Steven Tyler a spot as a judge. And while no announcement has been made, Tyler has been reportedly negotiating the terms of a potential deal.
Cameras caught Tyler in New York yesterday, and the Aerosmith frontman addressed “Idol” talk by saying the show better “lay out the bread” if they want his services.

Ellen DeGeneres is officially out of “American Idol,” because she “hated being critical,” says a source familiar with negotiations. In fact, Gossip Cop hears she asked to be released from her contract the day last season ended, but was told there was no chance unless they found another panel.

Which brings us to today’s HUGE news… Two megastars have been OFFERED spots on the panel.
