Jennifer Lawrence was born on August 15, 1990 in Louisville, Kentucky. She decided to pursue an acting career at 14-years-old and convinced her parents to take her to New York City to find a talent agent.
Best known for the “Hunger Games” franchise, Lawrence’s acting career began on the TBS sitcom “The Bill Engvall Show” in 2007, playing the oldest daughter of Engvall’s character. She went on to score small roles in a few independent movies, but burst onto the scene in a big way with a leading role in 2010’s “Winter Bone,” for which she was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Actress.
In 2012, Lawrence starred as Katniss Everdeen in “The Hunger Games,” catapulting her into superstardom. In addition to her “Hunger Games” sequels, Lawrence also appeared in such hit movies as “X-Men: First Class,” “Silver Linings Playbook” and “American Hustle.” She won the Best Actress Oscar for “Silver Linings Playbook,” making her the second-youngest recipient of the award at 22-years-old. In 2013, Forbes named Lawrence the highest-paid actress in Hollywood.
In August 2014, nude photos of Lawrence were hacked from her iCloud account and leaked online, along with many other female celebrities. Lawrence, however, was the most prominent and central figure of the naked hacking scandal. She later called the leak of her private photos a “sex crime” and “sexual violation.”
Lawrence has been romantically linked to her “X-Men” costar Nicholas Hoult, Coldplay frontman Chris Martin, and frequent collaborator Bradley Cooper. Gossip Cop, however, has repeatedly debunked stories about Lawrence and Cooper dating.
