Gordon Ramsay is known for his fiery personality, but last night he left patrons damp.

The celebrity chef and TV star’s new Montreal restaurant, Laurier Gordon Ramsay, debuted in ignominious fashion, with a burst sprinkler system bringing an early end to Opening Night festivities.

The mishap forced the eatery to evacuate.

Ramsay, who appears on shows including “Hell’s Kitchen” and “Kitchen Nightmares,” was not on hand for the accident.

As it happens, fellow British chef star Jamie Oliver‘s own restaurant was damaged in riots earlier this week.

Jamie Oliver‘s Italian restaurant was damaged in the riots that have swept London and other parts of England, the celebrity chef tweeted today.

“Sadly my restaurant in Birmingham got smashed up windows all gone whole area closed, cant open,” wrote Oliver, who was thankful to report, “staff and customers all safe!!”

Later, the celebrity chef and star of “Food Revolution” tweeted, “Birmingham restaurant got fixed up quick, sad for many of the other shop owners especially the small family run businesses in this [climate].”

He also praised the clean-up crews who have been springing up across the area to deal with the destruction.

“God bless the communities getting together to sort this out #RiotCleanUp People who care about their country!!” he tweeted.

Look what the National Enquirer has cooked up this week.

According to the supermarket tabloid, Jennifer Aniston “is considering teaming up with British superchef Jamie Oliver to write her own cookbook.”

“Jen prides herself on planning dinner parties for friends – and has dozens of recipes she’s come up with on her own,” says a so-called “insider,” who adds that Oliver — aka “Naked Chef” — thinks Aniston’s “got what it takes to write cookbooks.” (You mean, like a laptop?)

The article further claims, “He sends her new recipes to try and she shares some of her favorites with him,” and “Jen is seriously considering Jamie’s suggestion” about writing a cookbook.

Not only did this story smell fishy, but it also left a bad taste in our mouth. After calling around we found this story’s ingredients included no parts truth, and one cup full of…

And for added flavor, Aniston’s rep tossed in a dollop of “completely false.”
