The doctor is out.

“House” is ending after eight seasons, it was announced on Wednesday.

The FOX series about a cantankerous but brilliant doctor (Hugh Laurie) is set to conclude its network run this spring.

“After much deliberation, the producers of House M.D. have decided that this season of the show, the 8th, should be the last,” said executive producers David Shore, Katie Jacobs and Laurie in a statement.

“House” airs on Mondays at 8:00 p.m.

Olivia Wilde and Bradley Cooper are “definitely hooking up” according to Us Weekly.

The mag says the stars got “cozy” at The Hangover Part II after-party on May 23, and that Wilde “didn’t like sharing” Cooper with other female party-goers.

“Olivia acted jealous when other girls came up to him,” says a supposed “source” for the tab.

And that’s not all.

Two days before, the “House” star supposedly “took off” with Cooper after the “Saturday Night Live” season finale wrap party.

But as Gossip Cop previously reported, Wilde and Cooper are NOT romantically involved.

A rep for Wilde again reiterates that she and Cooper are not together, saying they’re “friends only,” and there’s “nothing” going on between them.

UPDATE: Wilde herself just addressed the rumor, tweeting, “I think Us Weekly has the same sources who promised us WMDs in Iraq.”

Olivia Wilde has separated from husband Tao Ruspoli after 7 years of marriage.

A rep for the “House” actress confirms the news to Gossip Cop.

Another source close to the couple tells us they’ve actually been separated for a while.

Ruspoli, a filmmaker and musician, is also a prince connected to Italian royalty.

In addition to “House,” Wilde stars in TRON: Legacy and the upcoming Cowboys & Aliens.

The couple secretly wed on a school bus in June 2003.

“American Idol” judge, Simon Cowell, who also created “America’s Got Talent” and produces records, earned more than any other guy on TV. According to Forbes, from June 1, 2008 to June 1, 2009, Cowell raked in $75 million.

Next was Donald Trump, who earned $50 million from “The Apprentice,” book sales, and all the products – ranging from neckties to vodka – that he endorses.

In the number three spot is Ryan Seacrest. With his hosting radio and TV shows, among other endeavors, Seacrest amassed $38 million.

“Two and a Half Men” star Charlie Sheen made the combined salary of thousands of men with $21 million. And the fifth highest-earning guy on primetime was “The Office” star Steve Carell, who took in $20 million.

Rounding out the Top 10 were Howie Mandel ($15 million), Kiefer Sutherland ($13 million), Jeff Foxworthy ($11 million), Hugh Laurie ($10 million), and David Caruso ($9 million).

The Express reports that “the fake limp has caused Laurie some real problems – and he wouldn’t rule out leaving the show in a bid to regain full health.”

A slew of other outlets picked up on the story, and blogs burst with outrage that their favorite dour doctor is ready to hang up his stethoscope.

Relax. Take a deep breath. His rep, who was surprised by our questioning, told Gossip Cop it was “not true” and called stories about him now having hip problems – because of the show – “hysterical.”
