Former TV star George Clooney will pick up an award at the Emmys on August 29.

Clooney, who has worked on behalf of those affected by Hurricane Katrina and has raised awareness about the atrocities in Darfur, is set receive the Bob Hope Humanitarian Award for his “Hope for Haiti” telethon, which is nominated for an Emmy award.

“Brad Pitt & Jennifer Aniston Were Together Last Night — Without Angelina Jolie!” screams the site’s headline, which, while true, is more than a little misleading considering the context.

The Sundance Film Festival will see the premiere on Sunday of the Joan Jett biopic The Runaways, starring “New Moon” mates Kristen Stewart and Dakota Fanning.

There has been buzz that Stewart and Fanning will also attend Jett’s performance with The Blackhearts on Saturday night at Harry O’s in Park City, Utah, and that Robert Pattinson may come to the movie’s debut the following day.
