HollywoodLife is at it again, fabricating drama about Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez.

The webloid has spent months posting breathless, wrong rumors about everything from Bieber allegedly hanging out at the Playboy mansion (not true) to speculation that Gomez was to “blame” for Bieber’s “bad behavior” (seriously?).

Back in December, the sensationalistic site spread word that the couple could be engaged – shockingly, they were not.

Now, HollywoodLife has a headline that reads: “Selena Gomez Hints At Justin Bieber Split On Twitter.”

Huh?

Well, on Thursday, Gomez tweeted a photo of a flower with its petals fallen off and the note, “Love me not..”

To counter any whispers that the tweet referred to Bieber, Gomez quickly followed up the picture with another tweet: “Whoa.. I was just picking some flowers with this chick. Smile everyone.”

In other words, Gomez herself specifically shot down any misinterpretation of the flower picture.

But that didn’t stop HollywoodLife from printing a headline suggesting implying that Gomez had revealed a breakup with Bieber!

“Selena posts a cryptic tweet and photo – we hope all is well with our fav couple!” declared the site, ignoring the fact that there was no longer anything “cryptic” about it whatsoever.

And even after acknowledging that Gomez had already cleared up possible confusion, HollywoodLife still ended its post with the question, “Do YOU think Justin and Selena split up?”

Once again, HollywoodLife is more interested in fanning the flames of rumor than just reporting the facts.

Gomez did not “hint” at a breakup, and there’s absolutely no story here.

One of HollywoodLife’s primary tactics is to take any sliver of news about Kristen Stewart and sensationalize it as much as possible.

The site has wrongly speculated that she and Robert Pattinson might be “already married” (he was joking), that Rooney Mara might steal Stewart’s career, that Stewart was supposedly in the middle of a bar fight… the list goes on.

So it’s no surprise that when a paparazzi photograph surfaced of Stewart flipping the bird while standing next to fashion designer Karl Lagerfeld, HollywoodLife sprang into action.

“Did Kristen Stewart Give Karl Lagerfeld The Middle Finger?” asks the blog, more concerned with creating controversy than actually reporting.

To answer HollywoodLife’s question: No.

Stewart obviously flipped the bird.

But it’s clear from the shot that Stewart is joking around and making the gesture at someone other than Lagerfeld.

It’s even more obvious in the video below, which shows Stewart and Lagerfeld getting along quite nicely.

But accurately reporting Stewart and Lagerfeld’s interaction makes for a less scandalous headline.

The webloid goes on to explain, “Since going out for a romantic dinner, we’ve been wondering if Zaylor is a new item. Ellen DeGeneres will get to the bottom of it Feb. 21 on her TV show when they are both there!”

HollywoodLife then adds, “We all know Ellen DeGeneres is amazing at disarming people with her charm, so we have hope she’ll get to the bottom of Taylor, 22, and 24-year-old Zac’s relationship status.”

Wait a second.

Gossip Cop already got “to the bottom” of the stars’ “relationship status” last week, when HollywoodLife first tried peddling baseless claims that The Lorax co-stars are more than just friends.

It was wrong then, it’s wrong now and it’ll still be wrong when the pair appear on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” next month.

Gossip Cop looks forward to seeing HollywoodLife backtrack when its big “reveal” never materializes.

“Does Taylor Swift have a new man in her life to write a song about?” begins a piece from HollywoodLife, which reports that the singer had a “romantic date” with Zac Efron on January 6.

A so-called “insider” at L.A. restaurant Pace observes, “They were deep in conversation and very giggly,” adding, “They seemed very friendly.”

“Could it be love?” asks the clueless blog, which quotes another source as saying Swift “even drove to the dinner date together in an Audi that belongs to Zac.”

Wait — she was in his car?! How scandalous!

Anyway, the  site goes on to report, “Taylor thinks Zac’s cute,” and notes that three years ago, Efron referred to Swift as a “lovely girl.”

Oh, please.

There was absolutely NOTHING “romantic” about Swift and Efron’s dinner outing.

The pair was doing press for their upcoming movie, The Lorax, and decided to grab a bite to eat afterwards as friends.

HollywoodLife never fails to make a mountain of a molehill when it comes to new celebrity “romances.”

Really?

According to the blog, “Kim called Kris after having a little too much champagne on Christmas Eve to wish him a happy holidays.”

The silly site, which bases its story on an article from the equally questionable In Touch, then quotes a so-called source as saying, “Kim got very nervous and hung up.”

So, how does HollywoodLife know Kardashian was “lusting after their hot sex”?

It doesn’t.

The hacks at HollywoodLife completely made it up.

In fact, the whole story is fabricated.

Kardashian, who barely ever drinks, was NOT drunk on Christmas Eve, and she did NOT call Humphries.

A source close to the reality star assures Gossip Cop that the HollywoodLife story is “absolutely NOT true.”

Kate Gosselin “has found a new man,” according to HollywoodLife’s equally laughable sister site HollyBaby.

The webloid says the former “Kate Plus 8″ star “has been on several dates with a mystery man!”

Ooh, do tell more!

According to a so-called “source” for the site, “Kate has been set up on many blind dates… But finally one guy has caught her eye.”

Of course, the bad blog’s supposed insider doesn’t know where or when she met the unnamed man, but claims the two have been “quietly seeing each other.”

“She hasn’t introduced him to the kids,” adds the source.

Could it be because this “mystery man” doesn’t actually exist?

In a post on her official site, Gosselin herself slams the HollyBaby’s claims, calling them “completely fabricated and totally false.”

“Unless my running shoes, kitchen utensils, or wrapping paper are considered ‘dates,’” she writes, “I have not been on any dates and certainly no ‘blind dates’ set up by friends.”

Gosselin adds, “Sorry Hollybaby, you lack credibility and are lying, as usual.”

HollywoodLife, which has built itself on inaccurate reporting, once again can’t get a story right.

The webloid, which recently fabricated an engagement story involving Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez, WRONGLY reported yesterday that Bieber’s been “spending lots of time at the Playboy mansion,” “has unlimited access” to the place, and even “celebrated his birthday” there.

But being exposed as hacks once isn’t enough for the site, which clearly favors outrageousness over accuracy.

Today, the bad blog has a follow-up tale about why Bieber “loves” going to the Playboy mansion “so often.”

Quoting one of their imaginary friends, HollywoodLife writes, “There are two main reasons he loves [the Playboy mansion] so much. First off, it gives him privacy that he can’t often get from anywhere else and he is never bugged by anyone while there. He loves the game room and just hanging out and loves bringing friends. Also, when he is there, it’s one of the few times that he really feels like a celebrity, so it is a major ego-booster. Selena is also invited anytime she wants as well.”

Of course, HollywoodLife can’t seem to give one example or date of when he’s been at the mansion.

That’s because the story was wrong yesterday.

It’s wrong today.

And it will be wrong again tomorrow.

As Bieber’s own rep tells Gossip Cop, “He has never been” to the Playboy mansion.

But that’s not all.

HollywoodLife says Bieber “has unlimited access to the Playboy Mansion, and isn’t afraid to use it.”

The site even has an unnamed “source” quoted as saying, “Justin is obsessed with the Playboy Mansion,” and notes how he “celebrated his birthday at the infamous mansion earlier this year.”

Really?

He’s “spending lots of time at the Playboy mansion,” “has unlimited access,” “celebrated his birthday” there?

One slight problem: HollywoodLife didn’t spend one second fact-checking this story.

Otherwise, they would have realized Bieber has spent ZERO time at the Playboy mansion.

His rep tells Gossip Cop, “He has never been there.”

And that’s the naked truth.

In reality, it was Crow versus Marcus Canty.

Either way, the decision was Scherzinger’s – and the ultimate vote was America’s.

The silly site then asks (yet another question): “Is it from her boyfriend Justin Bieber?”

“If it’s not an engagement ring, it must be a promise ring,” declares HollywoodLife.

“Selena was NOT wearing the ring before she jetted off on her getaway, so we’re assuming he gave it to her on the plane… It’s definitely possible Justin whisked Selena away on a romantic vacation to PROPOSE,” adds the blog, which often sounds like it’s written by overly excited seven-year-olds.

Unfortunately, no amount of lollipops sent over to HollywoodLife will mend their tiny little hearts.

“Taylor Armstrong‘s ‘RHOBH’ Co-Stars ‘Disgusted’ With Her Tell-All Book,” reads a headline from HollywoodLife.

According to the webloid, Armstrong’s castmates think it’s “horrible” that the reality star has written a book about her marriage to Russell Armstrong, who committed suicide in August.

The blog quotes a so-called source as saying “When Taylor announced she was going to write a book about her supposed abusive relationship with her husband everyone thought it was just disgusting,” adding, “It’s just too soon and the cast just thinks this speaks volumes about who Taylor is at heart.”

Taylor, however, has noted that she wrote the book, due out in February, to help women in similarly abusive relationships.

HollywoodLife is obsessed with spreading the idea that Taylor Swift habitually slams Miley Cyrus for being a poor role model.

First, there was Swift’s “60 Minutes” interview in which she talks about being “conscious” of her responsibility as a public figure to whom many young women look.

HollywoodLife saw that as a direct diss of Cyrus, who gave an interview two years ago in which she said, “My job isn’t to tell your kids how to act or how not to act because I’m still figuring that out for myself.”

It was a lame webloid attempt to make Swift’s perfectly reasonable comments seem like a calculated slam of Cyrus’ equally reasonable comments.

Now the site is going down that path again, citing Swift’s interview with Katie Couric on Friday as evidence of a “new dig” at Cyrus.

During her chat at the Billboard Women of the Year Awards, Swift mentioned that she “doesn’t feel like getting any tattoos” and has no “burning desire to be drunk right now.”

HollywoodLife interprets Swift’s remarks as an attack on Cyrus, “who appears to embrace her naughty side,” citing, for example, the recent birthday video in which Cyrus jokes about being a “stoner.”

It’s true that Swift and Cyrus have slightly different public personas and views about fame.

But to speculate that Swift is directly ripping Cyrus anytime she happens to bring up the responsibilities of stardom is absolutely ridiculous.

It obviously makes for good headlines to fan the flames of a faux feud, but HollywoodLife is just propping up its earlier story with more empty sensationalism.

Neither Swift nor Cyrus is particularly shy about sharing her feelings in public.

If either one wanted to “diss” the other, HollywoodLife wouldn’t be the only one to notice.

HollywoodLife, which has offered some of the most laughable “reporting” about Demi Moore in recent memory, is at it again.

The site twists a New York Post item about the actress having dinner at Tower Bar in Hollywood, making it a story about how she’s supposedly “dating again” after splitting from Ashton Kutcher.

The Post reports that Moore was spotted at the establishment with an unidentified man, and quotes an eyewitness as saying, “Demi looked good, and like she was ready to be seen out. She was in deep conversation with her male companion, but it didn’t look like a romantic date.”

HollywoodLife took that exact quote, about it not being a romantic date, and decided its headline should be, “Demi Moore’s Dating Again After Ashton Kutcher Split.”

Huh?

Where did that come from?

The site goes even further, writing that Moore is “hitting the town with sexy guys!”

No, she’s not.

Basically, HollywoodLife cut and pasted someone else’s reporting – and then got it wrong.

At some point, Moore will start dating again – but we’re pretty sure the fact-challenged blog won’t be the first to report it.

This is, without a doubt, the most ridiculous “exclusive” we’ve seen in a long time.

According to HollywoodLife, the “final straw” in Demi Moore and Ashton Kutcher‘s imploding relationship was… Kutcher’s tweet about Joe Paterno being fired amid the Penn State alleged child rape scandal.

Seriously.

Not Kutcher’s alleged fling with Sara Leal.

Not reports of earlier affairs, or major professional shakeups, or anything else that may have brought a high-profile, six-year marriage to an end.

No, HollywoodLife’s “sources” say it was “Ashton’s careless tweet about the Penn State football scandal that actually pushed [Demi] over the edge!”

“It looked as if things were progressing, and then of all things when Ashton messed up on Twitter,” explains a logic-challenged “source.”

The insider adds, “[Demi] believed he really didn’t care about the details of things and the embarrassment of that reminded her of the embarrassment he caused her with the cheating. It basically opened the can of worms again resulting in Demi finally deciding to take on the divorce.”

Please read that quote again.

HollywoodLife thinks that Demi Moore was “reminded” of Kutcher’s alleged infidelities because he wrote a premature, misguided tweet about Joe Paterno.

Once again, HollywoodLife tries to start a feud and just embarrasses itself.

The site, which would rather create controversy than cover actual news, wants to inflame some kind of Taylor Swift-Miley Cyrus war, and uses a clip of Swift’s appearance on “60 Minutes” to do so.

And… it’s absolutely ridiculous.

In the footage, Swift talks about being a role model, and how she’s “conscious” of the responsibility she has to the millions of young people who hear her lyrics and look up to her.

Perfectly reasonable, perfectly benign.

But HollywoodLife sees it as a direct attack on Cyrus.

Swift “totally disses” Cyrus, who is “NOT going to be happy” about the comments, says the site.

Um… what?

According to HollywoodLife, Swift “comes out clearly slamming Miley’s comments about NOT wanting to be a role model.”

Are we missing something?

Well, HollywoodLife is referring to quotes that Cyrus gave to Harper’s Bazaar about the topic – nearly two years ago.

At the time, Cyrus said, “My job isn’t to tell your kids how to act or how not to act because I’m still figuring that out for myself.”

Only HollywoodLife, panting for any sort of conflict between the two star singers, would think Swift’s “60 Minutes” results were “clearly slamming” Cyrus’ February 2010 magazine interview.

In short, the outlet’s declaration that Swift “totally disses” Cyrus is totally bogus, totally ridiculous and totally lame.

The full Swift interview airs on “60 Minutes” on Sunday.

The site quotes a supposed “insider” as saying, “She may already be expecting. She’s had that happy glow about her for weeks.”

Aside from the tell-tale glow, “the biggest sign for everyone is the fact that she’s stopped drinking,” says the alleged source, noting, “Carrie usually loves having a glass of champagne once in a while, but lately she’s been skipping it.”

And Underwood supposedly “didn’t even have one sip after hosting the CMA Awards, which was really out of character,” explains the “insider.”

“Most of their close friends are expecting an announcement very soon,” says the source, and “She and Mike are very, very excited!”

And HollywoodLife is very, very clueless!

The blog, which every single week picks up tabloid rumors without fact checking, is wrong as usual.

Of course, this is the same webloid that reported Reese Witherspoon was pregnant (wrong), and that Katie Holmes was expecting (nope).

Today, the guessing gyno-wannabes note that for the Glamour Women of the Year Awards in New York on Monday, Aniston wore a dress which “draped over her stomach to cover what could be a bump,” and that her “boobs definitely got bigger!”

Just two weeks ago, while promoting Five, Aniston said she was “not pregnant. It’s just I quit smoking, so I’ve gained a couple of pounds.”

Not satisfied with that, HollywoodLife maintains, “We think she’s hiding something!”

Actually, Aniston wasn’t hiding anything, including the vodka tonic she was drinking last night at the Glamour event.

The site excitedly writes, “Forget about waiting until the Breaking Dawn madness is over! In a press conference in Stockholm, Sweden, today, Oct. 28th, Robert Pattinson revealed him (sic) and Kristen Stewart might already be hitched!”

The blog then quotes Pattinson saying at the press conference, “The wedding scene’s funny because we used a real priest. So technically we are already married because he did all the things you would do in a normal ceremony…. We don’t have a civil union in law, but I guess in the church we are actually married.”

“Whoa!” reacts HollywoodLife, noting, “Rumors recently went around saying the two were waiting until after Breaking Dawn came out to get engaged, but I guess they were wrong!”

No, HollywoodLife is wrong.

Surprisingly, even though the blog is a joke, it didn’t realize Pattinson was joking.

He and Stewart are NOT married.

This may be hard for the site to fathom, but while the marriage ceremony will be awesome in the movie, weddings of fictitious film characters are neither binding nor recognized by the church in real life.

HollywoodLife just keeps digging itself a deeper hole, because there’s nothing going on between Hough and Wormald.

And as a source close to Seacrest tells Gossip Cop, he and Hough “are stronger than ever.”

Julianne Hough and her Footloose co-star Kenny Wormald reportedly danced at a party marking the film’s New York premiere on Wednesday night.

This makes sense, of course, because they’re the lead actors in a movie about dancing.

Ah, but HollywoodLife smells scandal!

Hough’s boyfriend, Ryan Seacrest, happened to miss the event at nightclub SL, leading the site to overreact to reports from so-called “eyewitnesses” about the dance floor “chemistry” between Hough and Wormald.

Amazing!

Because Gossip Cop totally noticed that same “chemistry” when Hough and Wormald secretly got “SUPER cozy” in front of millions of people on “Dancing with the Stars” this week!

Or maybe, you know, that “chemistry” comes from the fact that they’re starring together in a dancing movie.

“Naomi Watts’ Partner Liev Schreiber Is Accused Of Cheating!” screams a headline from HollywoodLife, picking up on a story from the even less savory site TheDirty, which previously made similar allegations about Ashton Kutcher and Demi Moore.

HollywoodLife writes, “Liev hasn’t been faithful” to Watts, his longtime partner and the mother of his two children, having reportedly had “sexual relations with model Phoebe Roberts.”

The site claims after a wrap party in Australia, where Schreiber shot Mental, he and Roberts, who was Toni Collette‘s stand-in in the film, went “back to his apartment.”

Gossip Cop has looked into the cheating story, and as of now it’s based on a lot on hearsay, and little fact.

We’re also hearing there may be legal action taken.

A rep for Schreiber tells us the allegations are “not true.”

“Scarlett Johansson & Ryan Reynolds‘ hot NYC date — are they reconciling?” asks a headline on HollywoodLife, which rarely knows the answers to its own questions.

The blog reports the former couple attended “an intimate Radiohead concert together” last night, quoting a source who says, “Ryan and Scarlett came in together right before show started and just watched, rocked out and left together.”

“Are sparks flying again?” asks the site.

But despite HollywoodLife’s obsession with turning innocent hang-outs into “hot dates,” Johansson and Reynolds are just friendly exes.

A source tells Gossip Cop the pair’s outing was not romantic.

“BREAKING NEWS: Kristen Stewart Misses ‘Abduction’ Premiere To Shoot ‘Show White and the Huntsman’!” reads a breathlessly urgent headline from HollywoodLife, which earlier in the day posted a story (that was subsequently deleted), claiming Stewart would attend her friend Taylor Lautner‘s premiere.

The site now goes on to report that Stewart is “hard at work and she’s having to give up supporting her besties! The actress is currently shooting Snow White and the Huntsman in Marloes Sands Beach in Pembrokeshire Wales, UK but because of that she had to miss Taylor Lautner’s Sept. 26 Abduction premiere in London!”

Despite HollywoodLife’s incessant writing about Stewart, the site knows very little about her.

The bad blog figured that because both stars are currently in the U.K. it would gamble and report that Stewart was attending the London opening of Abduction.

But Stewart had no plans to attend the premiere. Her Snow White and the Huntsman shoot didn’t suddenly spring up. Production on the film had been set for months, confirms a source who works with Stewart to Gossip Cop.

The only thing that “misses” today is HollywoodLife’s slipshod reporting.

“Joe Jonas and Ashley Greene broke up months ago, but at a Friday, Sept 23rd VIP party in Las Vegas they reunited publicly!” writes an overly giddy HollywoodLife.com, which asks if they’re going to be permanently “reuniting?”

The site squeals the two “met up” at a celebrity-filled after-party for the iHeartRadio Music Festival at the nightclub Tao, and “stayed out together until 3 a.m. Hmm!”

What’s more, says HollywoodLife, “they seemed ultra-friendly and like they were both having an extremely good time.”

“Joe and Ashley spent most of the night together talking and laughing,” adds the blog.

So are they “reuniting,” as the site asked?

NO.

They simply ran into each other at the celebrity party, a source close to Jonas tells Gossip Cop, adding they are “not at all” reuniting.

“We’ve CONFIRMED… Chris Brown‘s Gonna Be a FATHER… We Got PICS of His PREGNANT GF!!” blares the latest “World Exclusive” from MediaTakeOut, which apparently still hasn’t learned how to unlock its cap key.

The blog says Brown and his girlfriend, model Karrueche Tran, are expecting a baby, and claims it has “EVIDENCE” to prove she’s pregnant.

Of course, the story was picked up by the lemmings over at HollywoodLife, despite the fact that MediaFakeOut’s so-called “evidence” is nothing more than a photograph of Tran posing at an awkward angle.

In any case, a rep for Brown tells Gossip Cop the MTO story is “not true,” and couple is NOT expecting a baby.

Once again, MediaTakeOut’s reporting is barren of any actual facts.

“Britney Spears: You Have To Stop Flashing Your Undies!” reads the headline of yet another misguided post by HollywoodLife.

Featuring an upskirt shot of Spears’ panties — which Gossip Cop had the decency to crop out of the photo — HollywoodLife wrote that as the singer was leaving the Sanctum Soho Hotel in London, she had a “major wardrobe malfunction” and “gave us a big old crotch shot!”

The site then chastises Spears for exposing her pink panties because she “didn’t close her legs fully.”

Shame on HollywoodLife for presenting it as if Spears was purposely “flashing” her panties.

Shame on the blog for blaming Spears, whose underwear no one would have ever seen if it weren’t for a perverted paparazzo taking upskirt shots.

And shame on HollywoodLife for buying the “crotch shot.”

“Are Britney Spears and Jason Trawick engaged?” asks Hollywood, which poses a lot of questions and yet rarely has any right answers.

The blog writes, “Britney was caught wearing a huge diamond on the finger generally reserved for engagement rings,” before adding how “Jason recently met with a celebrity jeweler (sic) and reportedly designed a ring for his lady!”

First off, Trawick went to a jewelry store, but he was NOT designing a ring for Spears.

And the bauble she has on, notes our Spears insider, is “the same ring she has worn before,” which has similarly sparked false engagement stories over and over and over again.

A rep for the singer assures Gossip Cop, “She is not engaged.”

Once again, a HollywoodLife story that doesn’t ring true.

“Ali Lohan is only 17, but some recent pics of her make us think she’s already had plenty of plastic surgery!” begins a piece on HollywoodLife, which caused a slew of other sites to suspect the teen had gone under the knife.

According to HollywoodLife, which tends more to instigate than investigate, “Ali was photographed at a Beverly Hills salon with her big sister Lindsay on Sept. 6, and we can’t help but notice she looked like a totally different person from just two years ago! We understand she’s still growing up, but it’s hard to not make the leap and theorize she’s had some work done!”

However, maybe the site shouldn’t “make the leap and theorize.” Instead, the blog should do some reporting.

In an effort to sensationalize its story, HollywoodLife took one, odd photo from 2009 of Ali Lohan — when she was just 15 — when they could have just as easily taken another photo (below, right) from that same year, and there would have been less of a drastic difference between how she looked then and how she looks now.

Of course, she’s also now two years older, wearing more makeup, and clearly the teen has certainly lost a lot of weight during her budding modeling career.

Robert Pattinson is the subject of a new casting rumor that claims he’s slated to play King Arthur in Pendragon.

Outlets like HollywoodLife quickly circulated the report, saying Pattinson’s “allegedly been tapped to play the lead” in the Camelot reboot and describing it as “a historical epic similar in tone to Kristen Stewart‘s Snow White and the Huntsman!”

“We’re sure K-Stew… could give her boyfriend a few pointers about how to shoot a medieval epic!” shrieks the site, which apparently believes that any old tales turned into Disney cartoons at some point are practically the same thing.

Unfortunately for HollywoodLife (as well as Pattinson fans eager for post-Cosmopolis project news), there’s no truth to the Pendragon rumor.

A source close to Pattinson tells Gossip Cop the story is “inaccurate.”
