We can’t lie: Vanessa Hudgens and Ashley Tisdale have some serious dance moves.

The High School Musical alums took a dance class in L.A. on Thursday, and Tisdale shared a video of their awesome routine, set to Beyonce’s “Run the World (Girls).”

It’s pretty impressive.

After the intense workout, the ladies got all glammed up to attend the premiere of Hudgens’ new movie, Journey 2: The Mysterious Island.

Ashley Tisdale has been hanging out with a new man following her recent split from Scott Speer.

The actress reportedly partied on New Year’s Eve with Boys Like Girls frontman Martin Johnson at the New York restaurant, Joanne Trattoria, which Lady Gaga co-owns with her dad.

Tisdale and Johnson were also spotted heading back to L.A. together on Monday.

Two weeks ago, they were seen enjoying a night out at Trousdale in L.A.

The actress, formerly of “High School Musical” and this incredible “Toddlers & Tiaras” spoof, would star in the multi-camera, semi-autobiographical sitcom called “Under Construction.”

Tisdale’s character moves back home while her dad renovates her fixer-upper new house.

Once again, a number of sites are flunking some very basic math when it comes to the High School Musical kids.

Ashley Tisdale had a big birthday celebration this weekend to celebrate turning 26.

During the festivities, the actress joked around on the beach with co-star and friend Zac Efron, one of many guests, including Tisdale’s boyfriend, Scott Speer.

Tisdale was excited to have Efron there, tweeting, “So happy Zacary made it to my party!!! He’s my brother/best friend!!!”

But outlets including HollywoodLife assume there’s something more sinister to it, wondering whether Tisdale’s “cozy” behavior was “betraying” her friend and Efron ex Vanessa Hudgens.

“Loyalty seemed to be the furthest thing from Ashley and Zac’s mind at the July 2 Malibu shindig,” scolds the site.

Seriously, HollywoodLife?

Tisdale and Efron, who have been friends for years, played in the waves in front of cameras and a large group of people, including her boyfriend at the LPB Group/Talent Resources Beach House.

She openly acknowledged how happy she was to have her “brother” there.

There’s nothing disloyal or stealthy or romantic about any of this.

Tisdale and Efron are not dating, they’re not hooking up, and they’re not “betraying” Hudgens.

Ashley Tisdale would like you to know that she’s all grown up.

The “Hellcats” star bared it all for Allure‘s annual Nudes special issue, and she certainly doesn’t look like a tween anymore.

Tisdale explains, “I’m 25, almost 26, but people think of me as much younger because I look young. Being in this shoot was me saying, ‘I’m not just the young girl everybody thinks I am. I’m actually a woman.’”

Vanessa Hudgens is doing her best to leave behind some of her more infamous publicity.

During a conversation with the Los Angeles Times, the “High School Musical” star reflects on her various racy photo scandals, the most recent of which led to FBI involvement.

In each case, private (and occasionally graphic) pictures of Hudgens were leaked online.

“It’s just silly because I’m a very present person, and that’s the thing that has been so in the past,” says the actress. “The fact that somebody keeps bringing up the past is just selfish.”

“I mean, it sucks,” continues Hudgens. “I already released a statement the first time it happened. It’s just unfortunate that it keeps reminding people about the past and not the present.”

And it’s not as though people can’t see a barely-clad Hudgens on the big screen.

In the just-released Sucker Punch, the actress isn’t afraid to show quite a bit of herself in skimpy costumes.

“I was in the best shape of my life, so why not?” she reasons.

“Zac Efron stunned onlookers at a recent Hollywood event when he held hands and even flirted right under the nose of ex-girlfriend, Vanessa Hudgens – and it was with a GUY!” begins a piece in the National Enquirer.

According to a so-called “eyewitness” for the tabloid, the High School Musical star “got cozy with a buff young man” during an NBA party at the W Hotel in L.A. on February 18.

“I was shocked at how relaxed and open Zac was with this guy,” continues the supposed witness, adding that Efron “seemed really into” the young man.

If the notion of Efron being all over an unidentified man in such a public situation but being seen only by the Enquirer‘s alleged source sounds a bit off, that’s because the (imaginary) “eyewitness” concocted the entire thing.

A source close to Efron tells Gossip Cop, “It’s bullsh*t.”

Maybe even the Enquirer knew the story wasn’t true – the tab made a point of noting that Efron himself has “laughed off” questions in the past about his sexual preferences.

“Ashley Tisdale Spotted Leaving Oscar Party With Miley Cyrus’ Ex Liam Hemsworth!” exclaims HollywoodLife, which somehow managed to get a story wrong with just 12 words.

According to the site, Miley Cyrus should “be fuming” because her “bestie” Ashley Tisdale has been “getting close” to her ex-boyfriend Liam Hemsworth.

HollywoodLife reports, “The High School Musical star attended the InStyle Oscar party on Feb. 27 and Liam was there as well. Despite the fact they arrived separately, they reportedly left together — right after swapping numbers!”

The blog adds, “Liam held Ashley’s arm as they left!”

No way!

Actually, just… NO.

Tisdale went to the party with her boyfriend Scott Speer – and left with him, multiple sources confirm to Gossip Cop.

It’s too early to say for sure, and their reps aren’t talking, but the couple, who broke up in December, sure looked like their old selves last night at the opening of the L.A. club Eden.

Several sources confirm to Gossip Cop that Efron and Hudgens were “making out” at the nightclub.

According to a source, “They’re danced together, held hands…They were affectionate. It was sweet.”

Adds another partygoer, “Later [in the evening], they were making out.” The same source says they were sitting at a table and kissing, “but it wasn’t like they were trying to hide anything.”

Even though she and longtime boyfriend Zac Efron split up just days before, Vanessa Hudgens was in good spirits last night as she celebrated her 22nd birthday.

The High School Musical actress, tucked into a tight silver bandage dress, hit Las Vegas for her Big 22, along with gal pals Ashley Tisdale and Brittany Snow.

The trio partied in a VIP section of the club Pure, where Hudgens was spotted dancing on a couch.

When asked how things are between her and Efron, Hudgens said, “Were good.”

As Gossip Cop recently reported, the two are “still friends.”

In an In Touch piece about Zac Efron and Vanessa Hudgens titled, “Why Zac Broke Vanessa’s Heart,” the tab claims Efron “ended the romance after Vanessa pressured him to get engaged.”

Really?

The magazine quotes a so-called “friend” of the High School Musical stars as saying, “Vanessa was expecting an engagement ring for her birthday, Christmas or New Years (sic)… When he realized he wasn’t ready to get engaged, he decided to end things.”

Really?

What’s more, the magazine reports Hudgens is “incredibly devastated.”

Really?

Contrary to In Touch‘s scenario, the real reason the young couple split is that they both felt the relationship had “run its course,” and reliable sources assure Gossip Cop the two are “still friends.”

A source tells us the longtime relationship “ran its course” and calls the split “amicable.” In fact, our insider stresses, “They’re still friends.”

The two stars are both very young, and it just “wasn’t going to go further,” explains the source.

Efron and Hudgens began dating in 2006 while filming the massively successful “High School Musical” franchise.

Last March, the National Enquirer announced that Vanessa Hudgens and Zac Efron were engaged and planned to marry over the summer.

Then summer happened and — surprise! — there was no wedding.

So now the tabloid has a new angle on nuptials between the two former “High School Musical” stars.

Hudgens is ”willing to do whatever it takes to become Mrs. Zac Efron,” declares the Enquirer — and that includes converting to Judaism.

The starlet hopes that becoming a Jew “will score points with Zac’s Jewish family,” explain the tab’s “insiders.”

Says a so-called “longtime friend,” Hudgens is “hoping to win over Zac’s mom and dad.”

Efron, meanwhile, is supposedly “flattered” that his girlfriend would make such a commitment, and, as the Enquirer‘s source claims, now knows that “Vanessa is dead serious about making a life with him.”

Oy, if only the Enquirer were serious about its Hudgens and Efron reporting.

A rep for Hudgens tells Gossip Cop the conversion to Judaism story is “not true.”

Zac Efron is lining up his next movie roles, and not surprisingly, they involve some romance.

The handsome “High School Musical” alum is reportedly close to a deal for The Lucky One, based on the Nicholas Sparks novel about an Iraq war veteran who seeks out the girl whose picture became his good luck charm.

Deadline.com also reports that Efron is expected to sign on for Die in a Gunfight, a modern take on star-crossed lovers. The film doesn’t yet have a director, though.

Charlie St. Cloud, starring Efron, opens this Friday.

Zac Efron is going from High School Musical to a galaxy far, far away.

At least his voice is.

Efron is set to play Anakin Skywalker (the future Darth Vader) in Robot Chicken: Star Wars Episode III, the next installment in Adult Swim’s wildly popular series.

Among the other new voices bringing to life Seth Green and Matthew Senreich‘s off-kilter take on the George Lucas sci-fi saga are Donald Glover of “Community” and original Star Wars trilogy C3PO Anthony Daniels.

The special premieres on December 12.

“Zac Efron Is Ready to Propose to Vanessa Hudgens!!” exclaims publicity-desperate blogger Zack Taylor, whose track is sketchy at best.

Taylor quotes an unnamed source, who tells him “exclusively” that “The proposal has been something [Zac] has been thinking about for a while. He already has the ring picked out and I wouldn’t be surprised if we saw the two engaged this summer.”

And the only thing that would surprise Gossip Cop is if Taylor actually got a big scoop right.

‘Tis the season for bloodsucking.

From “The Vampire Diaries” and “True Blood” to the Twilight movies, vampires are swooping in everywhere.

But will another franchise take a bite out of the big screen?

In a Hollyscoop story that was picked up everywhere, including by Digital Spy just earlier today, it was reported that Sarah Michelle Gellar was allegedly working on a film version of her hit series “Buffy The Vampire Slayer.”

“The idea was to have Sarah back but with Vanessa [Hudgens] as a fresh, new character,” claimed the not-so-fresh Hollyscoop.

But since Hudgens turned the offer down, said the site, “the project has been shelved for now.”

Let’s put a stake through this one right now.

Hudgens never turned down the role.

Why?

As Hudgen’s rep tells Gossip Cop, she “was never approached about this project.”

Repeat: “Was never approached.”

And we can slay another part of this ridiculous story, too.

Gellar is not trying to bring “Buffy” back to life.

A rep for the actress tells Gossip Cop that reports of Gellar’s involvement in a “Buffy” movie are “not true.”

On June 16, the “High School Musical” actor is set to receive the Shining Star Award at the Maui Film Festival in Hawaii.

The festival’s director Barry Rivers called Efron an “exemplary shining star.”

Vanessa Hudgens will star as HIV-positive stripper Mimi in this summer’s Hollywood Bowl production of “Rent.”

The three-night staging in August marks Neil Patrick Harris‘ directorial debut.

Best known for Disney’s “High School Musical” juggernaut, Hudgens won over Harris to play a very different role. “She came in for a work session, and I must say, Vanessa really impressed,” says Harris in a statement. “She looks amazing, has great vocal chops, and seems really committed to honoring the somewhat iconic role of Mimi.”

Harris himself is a “Rent” alum, having played Mark.

The Hollywood Bowl performances will be August 6, 7, and 8.

“Wedding Bells for Zac and Vanessa,” announces a headline in this week’s National Enquirer.

Although the Enquirer reports that Zac Efron‘s parents think he’s “too young” to wed girlfriend and “High School Musical” co-star Vanessa Hudgens, one of the mag’s so-called sources says, “he’s going to pop the question very soon.”

Really?

The Enquirer even makes a point of noting that its source “insists that the couple is looking toward a summer wedding in Malibu – with Zac picking up the tab for the entire affair!”

That is so sweet.

It’s also so inaccurate.

The young lovers are NOT planning a summer wedding in Malibu, a source close to Efron confirms to Gossip Cop.

“Against our advice,” Zac Efron and Vanessa Hudgens “are moving in together,” reports Perez Hilton, who couldn’t get a story right if we spotted him the R-I-G and H.

He even claims the “High School Musical” stars “will begin house hunting once she returns from filming her latest flick in Canada.”

Perez, who’s so afraid of Gossip Cop that he’s blocked us on Twitter, then cuts and pastes the following: “‘When Vanessa was apart from Zac while filming her upcoming movies Beastly and Sucker Punch, she realised how much she missed him and loved being around him all the time’, a source told In Style.” He adds, “When she got back to LA, she told him she wanted them to move in together.”

The “Cop Blocker” then concludes with the word, “Tragic.”

Gossip Cop thinks his use of the word “tragic” may be self-referential.

So, where do we start?

Let’s begin with the fact that Perez says a source “told In Style.” Close. It was quoted in In Touch. Oops.

And the whole premise of them “moving in together” is also wrong.

When Gossip Cop confronted Efron’s rep about the rumor (a week ago), we were assured, “Each have their own homes… They are not moving in together.”

Yes, tragic reporting indeed.

Hudgens and Efron are “setting up house,” according to the tab, which reports the “High School Musical” stars are “taking their relationship to the next level” by hunting for a residence together. A “friend” tells In Touch Hudgens realized how much she missed being around Efron while filming movies apart from him. “When she got back to LA, she told him she wanted them to move in together,” the “friend” claims, leading the mag to announce that the couple “is ready to live under the same roof.”

Not so fast. There won’t be U-Hauls in the couple’s immediate future.

“Each have their own homes,” a representative for Efron tells Gossip Cop, and adds, “They are not moving in together.”

The Star, with the help of one of its dubious sources, reports, “Zac Efron and Rihanna met for the first time backstage before appearing on The Late Show with David Letterman and ‘When they ran into each other, Rihanna said, sparks started to flying.’”

Actually, the only thing flying here are pigs.

The piece goes on to say that Efron immediately began to flirt with the singer and told her, “You are so beautiful!”

Maybe the Mirror’s “3am” column should get a little more sleep because their facts are a little blurry about Zac Efron partying in London the other night.

According to the tab, the “High School Musical” star was a on “four-hour booze bender” after the premiere of his new film, “Me & Orson Welles.”

The paper claims that at the film’s after-party, held at a Hawaiian-themed club called Kanaloa, Efron got “a round of rum shots” for his co-stars and then footed the bill for some $165-a-pop concoctions called the “Treasure Chest,” which the paper describes as “a potent brew of peach schnapps and brandy, topped with a bottle of bubbly.”

Reportedly all liquored up, Efron allegedly “grabbed a Hawaiian lei garland, flung it around his neck, jumped up on the bamboo tables and started busting his moves to Beyonce and the Beach Boys.” Added a so-called source, “He was having a great time and was the life and soul of the party.”

We’d say we’re sorry that we missed it, but it actually NEVER happened. A source, who was with Efron at the after-party, tells Gossip Cop that the star, jet-lagged from flying in earlier that day, hung out a little bit with his director Richard Linklater and co-stars Claire Danes and Christian McKay, but “left early” – no bender, no booty shaking.

And Efron’s rep confirms to Gossip Cop that the story was “completely made up,” and that her client called it a night after a short stay at the club because he had to get up early the next day for press interviews.

Sorry, tabs, but we’d had to call this “High School Musical: Sober Year.”

What a week it was for Gossip Cop!

Gossip Cop really busted Star magazine with its story that “Grey’s Anatomy” lead Ellen Pompeo’s husband, Chris Ivery, cheated on her – during her pregnancy – with a teen.  A lot of outlets picked up that story, but Gossip Cop exclusively obtained an email from the teen that read, “I talked to Star Magazine and they were trying to offer me $20,000 for information about Chris. That is ridiculous because nothing is true about us having a relationship.” We confronted Star about the pay-to-say, but not surprisingly no one got back to us.

That same rag got it all wrong when claiming that Natalie Portman just moved to L.A. to be closer to Sean Penn, who’s going through a divorce. Besides the fact that he’s been linked to another woman, Portman moved to the West Coast a year ago.

Despite numerous outlets reporting that Penelope Cruz was pregnant, Gossip Cop led the charge and finally busted that bad dish.  We have it upon good authority that she is “100 percent NOT” pregnant. Plus, we saw some photos of her recently smoking. Still that didn’t stop Perez Hilton. He wrote that despite Cruz’s own “claims” that she’s not pregnant, he believes that she is – and he called her a “liar.” Whoa!

In more pregnant news, the National Enquirer ran a piece that said Mel Gibson was concerned that his pregnant girlfriend wasn’t eating enough. Not true, said his publicist, who recently had dinner with the couple and noted how “healthy” she looked. The Enquirer also waited a good 30 seconds after “The Office” star John Krasinski and Emily Blunt got engaged to say they were fighting over wedding plans. But a rep for Krasinski told Gossip Cop: “There is nothing factually accurate to the story in the National Enquirer except that John and Emily are engaged.”

Then we smelled a rat with a Brad Pitt gerbil story. The British tab The Sun claimed he bought his kids an approximately $83,000 gerbil run, complete with mazes, tunnels and seesaws. That story was full of gerbil pellets.

This week John Mayer was the subject of two wrong romance stories. When Janet Charlton’s Hollywood reported that “The Hills” (and Kristin Cavallari) were alive with the sound of Mayer’s music, we were the first on the scene to say there was “No Such Thing” going on between the two. (Of course, that didn’t stop journalism’s joker Perez Hilton from repeating the fabricated tale). And the other inaccurate love story involving Mayer was an In Touch cover piece on Jessica Simpson that claimed she was secretly hooking up with him again. Yeah, also not true.

In other love news, Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony were once again the subject of nasty nuptial rumors, but Gossip Cop spoke to sources close to them and found out it was just the same naysayers singing the same old (off-key) tune. The couple is still making beautiful music.

And it seemed like yesterday the blogs were saying Vanessa Hudgens and Zac Efron were engaged. Well, the rumor this week was that they are headed for splitsville. Gossip Cop investigated and didn’t find proof to support this sophomoric “High School Musical” tale.

The British Star magazine was trippin’ when it printed a story that Rihanna and Chris Brown, who are legally barred from being near each other, are now planning a trip together to Mexico – meaning they would be outside of U.S. jurisdiction.  The only distance to be noted here is that this story is far from true.

With “Sex and the City” filming in New York this week, there were many a rumor Cop had to handle.  For starters, in the course of just a couple of days, a New York paper said Kim Cattrall was still with her much younger chef boyfriend (uh, they broke up months ago), and that she’s now an American – nope, Cattrall is still a Canadian citizen. Then, rather oddly, the tabs came to Gossip Cop to verify a rumor that Chris Noth (aka “Mr. Big”) was engaged in real-life. We contacted Noth, who texted us back, “Not true.” And, Gossip Cop had amazing footage of thousands of fans peacefully surrounding Sarah Jessica Parker as she moved from one area of shooting to another. Totally worth a look.

The dynamic duo of Perez Hilton and In Touch lost all touch with reality when they claimed that Rosie O’Donnell and Star Jones were going to team up for a reality show. Gossip Cop debunked that quickly. And on the subject of reality TV, after ignoring John and Kate Gosselin all summer we posted a piece and asked you all what you felt about them. Incredibly, the vast majority of you expressed the same sentiment as Gossip Cop – who cares about the two of them? (Barring something unbelievable, don’t expect to see their names in Gossip Cop after this.)

This week the New York Post wrote that Lindsay Lohan was staying under the radar in Austin, Texas, where’s she’s slated to film the movie, “Machete.” Sadly, the New York newspaper somehow missed that Lohan was in New York. We even showed footage of the paparazzi staking her out while shopping in Manhattan – just about the same time that the erroneous “Austin” item was being written. Not to be outdone, New York’s other tab, The New York Daily News did a piece insinuating that Kate Hudson is engaged to Yankees slugger Alex Rodriguez. That paper also struck out. They are not engaged.

Across the pond, the Daily Mail said that Uma Thurman was going to walk down the aisle in Kensington Palace, where Princess Diana had lived, but Gossip Cop proved that that, too, was a royal lie.

“Twilight” Highlights: Gossip Cop started the week off nicely, having taken a bite out of Now magazine, which published fabricated Robert Pattinson quotes, but then removed them from its website after Gossip Cop called them out on it. Later we posted a video of the paparazzi hounding Pattinson and Kristen Stewart. The footage showed the two being pursued as they got into a taxi in Vancouver, and then Stewart literally fleeing from the cab and sprinting into their hotel. We debated long and hard whether to show the footage (shot by a third party), and ultimately we felt that writing about it might lead people to think that, like our competitors, we were making it up or were exaggerating the details. But by presenting it, we believed, everyone could accurately assess (even eyewitness) for themselves the harassment that the two “Twilight” stars unfortunately have to endure.

Then there was that OK! cover that was not OK. It blared, “Rob Risks It All For Kristen,” and cautioned, “How his engagement to Kristen is putting Rob’s career and the future of Twilight in jeopardy.” Engagement? Not true. There was so much more, including how the filmmakers were concerned that Pattinson and Stewart hanging out together would affect how people felt about the “New Moon” plot in which her character falls for Jacob Black, played by Taylor Lautner. One, the story is nonsense, and two, nice job insulting “Twilight” fans and implying they can’t separate fact from fiction. Speaking of fiction, there were some other doozies this week, including Pattinson and Stewart sneaking off to an island off of Canada’s coast for a weekend getaway. Stewart, by all accounts, was in Vancouver that weekend. That story was more like Fantasy Island. And we ended the week with the new, expanded, non-bootlegged HD version of the “New Moon” trailer. (Oh, and then there was that thing about Robert Pattinson using steroids. No, really.)

There was so much more this week, like our correcting that Casey Wilson was dumped from “Saturday Night Live” because of her weight; Megan Fox being taunted by a cursing paparazzo; the Michael Jackson tribute concert being postponed and moved to London; and the surprising news that Ellen DeGeneres was tapped to be the fourth judge on “American Idol.”

And yes, for 30 glorious minutes on Friday it seemed like karma had caught up with Perez Hillton, whom Gossip Cop wrote about for The Huffington Post. For half an hour, PerezHilton.com was temporarily down, and so inaccurate reporting and snide comments were briefly suspended. Many rejoicing readers and Twitterers wrote Gossip Cop wishing that it would be permanent. All we can say is spread the word about Gossip Cop to ALL of your friends, and maybe one day that dream will come true.

It seems like the other day we shot down the rumor that Vanessa Hudgens and Zac Efron were on the verge of getting married. Well, now the story spreading like butter on warm toast is that the couple is “on the verge of a split.”

Showbiz Spy and a number of other sites are reporting/repeating that blog’s contention that “Friends of the couple say the former High School Musical costars are not seeing eye-to-eye of late.”

“The pressures of fame and the fact they are not working together any more has really taken its toll,” says an unnamed source, who adds, “They’re trying to make more time to see each other to work things out but right now it’s not going well.”

Reps for both Hudgens and Efron were unaware of an impending parting. And a source close to Efron felt the rumor was unsubstantiated. Plus, it’s odd someone would claim, “They’re trying to make more time to see other.” It’s true they’re working on separate projects, but they’ve recently been spotted together in Vancouver, where he’s filming “The Death and Life of Charlie St. Cloud” and she’s working on “Sucker Punch.”

Guess we’ll just have to stir fry that rice we were going to throw at Vanessa Hudgens and Zac Efron.

The British newspaper News of the World ran a story, picked up by the blogs, that the “High School Musical” stars were getting married. The paper even quoted Hudgens as saying, “We haven’t set a date and if we did we’d keep it secret for as long as possible.” According to quotes attributed to Hudgens – the subject recently of more leaked nude photos – there’s a good reason they’re keeping their wedding date hush hush: “What if one of us was offered a major film part? Then we’d have to postpone our marriage and people would say we’d split up. And we don’t want that.” Of course.

Well, the News of the World can’t pull the veil over Gossip Cop’s eyes. We made our calls, sent our e-mails, and found out the young lovers are NOT engaged. Hudgens’ spokeswoman told Gossip Cop the story is “not true,” and didn’t even think her client spoke to the News of the World.

Gossip Cop reached out to the editors at the News of the World for a response, but have yet to hear back. Not even the Wildcat cheerleaders can dance around this one.
