Michelle Williams is transformed into Marilyn Monroe on the October cover of Vogue, in which she discusses her new movie, ‘My Week with Marilyn.’

Williams reveals she was incredibly daunted by playing such an iconic figure in the film, which centers around Monroe’s time shooting ‘The Prince and the Showgirl,’ but says, “As soon as I finished the script, I knew that I wanted to do it.”

The Joker will not be back to battle Batman.

Christopher Nolan has confirmed that he will not use a new actor to play the villain Heath Ledger dazzlingly redefined in “The Dark Knight.”

“For me, Heath was the definitive Joker,” says Nolan. “It wouldn’t feel appropriate to readdress that character.”

In an article about Sienna Miller in yesterday’s New York Times, the opening paragraph begins, “‘SERIAL MILLER’ is what the London tabloids like to call the 27-year-old actress Sienna Miller, in honor of her long and well-documented romantic history. Her flings have included Jude Law, Heath Ledger, Daniel Craig, Sean Combs, James Franco and most recently the married oil heir Balthazar Getty, with whom she was photographed topless and in a sailor hat.” Well, even the venerable Times gets it wrong sometimes.
