Brad Pitt has a special attachment to New Orleans, so it’s no surprise that he seems to harbor animosity for those responsible for the Gulf Coast oil spill that’s devastated the region.

“I was never for the death penalty before,” Pitt says in Spike Lee’s latest documentary, If God Is Willing and Da Creek Don’t Rise. “I am willing to look at it again.” Do you think Pitt’s view is too harsh or do you agree with him?

“BP stands for British Petroleum, but it may soon be equated with Brad Pitt,” began a recent piece in the New York Daily News, which claimed the actor “is interested in making a dramatic film about the BP Gulf Coast oil spill − not surprising given that Pitt is enamored of the region.” Really?
