Kate Gosselin Responds to “Absentee Parent” Accusation

Kate Gosselin struck back at ex-husband Jon Gosselin this morning, denying that she’s chosen fame over their eight children.
The reason she works so much, including her current stint on “Dancing With the Stars” and two upcoming reality series, claims Kate, is because she needs to provide for her kids.
“I’ve got to work harder now than ever because I am a single mom,” she said on “Today.” “It’s a struggle to be here [away from them], to be anywhere. The emotion that you see is because I would rather be at home with them.”
