Adam Levine has started his own record label – and already signed his first high-profile star.

Levine announced Thursday that his 222 Records will distribute “Glee” star Matthew Morrison‘s second album.

“Starting my own label has been a long-time goal of mine and I am thrilled to be at the point in my career where it is finally happening,” Levine said in a statement.

He added, “I am excited for everyone to hear Matthew’s forthcoming album. Great things are in store for him with this release.”

Morrison, whose self-titled debut album was released last May by Mercury Records, said he’s “excited to be working on my next album with such an incredible singer, writer and producer as Adam Levine.”

“Adam and I share the same vision as we begin working on my record together,” the actor-singer added.

The “Glee” tribute to Michael Jackson received a bittersweet endorsement on Twitter from the late singer’s sister La Toya Jackson.

“This show #Glee of #MJGLEE makes me cry,” she tweeted after Tuesday’s special episode, adding, “I realize how much I miss my brother and how extremely talented he was!!!”

The episode featured roughly a dozen songs by the “King Of Pop,” including a virtual shot-for-shot remake of his “Scream” video with sister Janet.

LaToya said she wished to “thank the cast of @GLEEonFOX #Glee for performing an incredible job on your tribute to #Michael.”

“It was much appreciate[d],” she added.

“White Collar” star Matt Bomer is close to a deal to play Darren Criss’ older brother on “Glee.”

Bomer would appear in an April episode as the Blaine Anderson character’s sibling, a source close to the actor confirms to Gossip Cop.

“Glee” creator Ryan Murphy recently cast Bomer in his upcoming movie adaptation of The Normal Heart.

“There will not be a ‘Glee’ spinoff,” Fox president Kevin Reilly told the media on Sunday at the Television Critics Association’s winter confab in Pasadena, California.

At one point, there had been talk that graduating seniors Rachel (Lea Michele), Kurt (Chris Colfer), and Finn (Cory Monteith) would be featured in a spinoff about their lives in New York post-high school.

Reilly noted “those characters will graduate,” but wouldn’t elaborate on their futures. He only offered that what happens toward the end of this season will be an “interesting idea that I think is going to give us something cool to dig into for next season.”

He did, however, confirm that Michele would be returning to the series, adding, “We’d want to see them all back,” but mentioned there were “contractual” questions for the other stars.

Playing his cards close to the vest, Reilly said that what happens to the characters will be “a good thing for the show.”

Perhaps their post-high school lives will be weaved within next season’s storylines?

Shortly before there was talk of a spinoff, “Glee” creator Ryan Murphy told the Hollywood Reporter that “more characters are leaving than are staying” come graduation day.

Well, this is kind of interesting.

Ryan Murphy, the man behind “American Horror Story,” just told reporters that the next season of the show will feature an entirely new haunted house and cast.

The show’s first season, which starred Connie Britton and Dylan McDermott as the Harmons, wrapped up on Wednesday.

“Every season of the show will be a different haunting,” said Murphy in a conference call. “What you saw in the finale was the end of the Harmon house, and the second season of the show will be a brand new home or building to haunt.”

In fact, explains Murphy, that’s how every new season will be structured going forward.

In addition to a new haunting, each season “will also have a new overriding theme. [Season 1's theme] was ‘infidelity.’ Next year will have a different theme and a new cast of characters to go with it.”

While Britton and McDermott (along with other actors) could “be coming back [and] playing completely new characters,” they’ll no longer be the show’s leads.

“Their stories are done,” explains Murphy.

It should be noted that some of Murphy’s past decisions about major cast changes on his other series, “Glee,” have turned out not to be set in stone.

According to Star magazine, there’s a steamy new “Glee Love Triangle!”

“The on-screen scandals at McKinley High are no match for the real-life romance drama that has pitted costars Chord Overstreet and Darren Criss against each other in fight (sic) for the affections of actress Emma Roberts,” screams the tabloid.

Star says a “source” spotted Roberts and Criss “getting close” at a Paris Hilton-hosted Christmas event in Los Angeles on December 7.

“Darren seemed like he was just there to see Emma,” claims the Star source, adding, “They looked like more than friends, and I wouldn’t be surprised to see them out again soon!”

Overstreet and Roberts, of course, are happily dating.

And Star, not surprisingly, is fishing for controversy.

There’s no Criss vs. Overstreet rivalry for Roberts’ affections.

Roberts and Criss wound up at the same party – that’s the beginning and end of the story.

A source close to Criss tells Gossip Cop there is “zero truth” to the “love triangle” rumor.

Ashton Kutcher may be moving on from Demi Moore with “Glee” star Lea Michele, reports OK! magazine.

The mag says at the New Year’s Eve premiere in L.A., the co-stars “mooned and pawed at each other and seemed all but ready for a roll in the Hollywood landmark’s iconic cement.”

And a supposed “source” close to the film’s cast tells OK!, “It wouldn’t be the least bit surprising if they were hooking up,” noting, “Their chemistry was undeniable on-set.”

An “eyewitness” at the screening says the pair “were so enamored of each other that they scarcely made any time for any of the other myriad of A-listers at the premiere.”

“Lea and Ashton pretty much only had eyes for each other,” says the source, adding, “Lea was hanging on his every word, touching his arm every time he made a joke.”

Of course, OK! conveniently leaves out the fact that Michele brought “Glee” star Jonathan Groff as her date.

Anyway, while Kutcher and Michele certainly cozied up for the cameras at the premiere, that doesn’t mean they’re about to shack up.

A source extremely close to Michele tells Gossip Cop there’s absolutely nothing romantic going on between them.

Chord Overstreet’s first solo single, “Beautiful Girl,” has leaked.

The “Glee” star began working on his album last year, after he left the show when he was demoted from a series regular to a recurring role.

Overstreet, who has since returned to the series, says his record is due out sometime next year.

The singer-actor comes from a musical family — his father is country singer Paul Overstreet, and his brother Nash is the guitarist for breakout band Hot Chelle Rae.

Lea Michele is supposedly leading a cast “revolt” against “Glee” creator Ryan Murphy, according to Us Weekly.

The magazine claims the young musical talents on the Fox series are “fed up” with storyline decisions, low pay and long hours, and have organized behind Michele.

“The cast has been speaking about banding together against [Murphy], and Lea is leading the charge,” explains a so-called “source.”

According to the article, frustrated cast members include Dianna Agron (whose character was rendered “unlikable” because she allegedly suggested ideas to Murphy) and Amber Riley (whom Murphy allegedly “threatened to axe” in retaliation for her pal Michele butting heads with him).

Now, “on-set anguish” has supposedly led everyone to line up behind Michele to demand… what exactly?

Us Weekly doesn’t say.

There’s lots of talk of “mutiny” and “showdown,” and then absolutely no details aside from the fact that everyone works long hours (as with every TV show) and wants more money (as with every job, ever).

A rep for Michele tells Gossip Cop the Us article “isn’t true.”

Alleged “mutiny” agitator Michele herself, meanwhile, seems too busy tweeting nearly every day about how “awesome” and “amazing” her job is to lead much of a revolt.

On December 3, for instance, she was “making some coffee & catching up w/ my favorite boss/BFF Ryan Murphy :)”

“Glee” is set to celebrate the King of Pop.

Michael Jackson will be the focus of a tribute episode on January 24, with the cast set to perform 10-12 songs from the late hit maker.

A rep for “Glee” creator Ryan Murphy confirms the news to Gossip Cop.

Jackson’s “Thriller” was a big part of the show’s post-Super Bowl episode last February.

In the past, the show has done single-artist tribute episodes for Britney Spears, Madonna and Lady Gaga.

TV Guide was the first outlet to confirm the Jackson show.

The man suspected of murdering “Glee” star Charice (Pempengco)‘s father has surrendered to authorities.

Angel Capili, Jr. turned himself in to the chief of his village, south of Manila in the Philippines.

He’s admitted responsibility for stabbing Ricky Pempengco to death with an ice pick in the town of San Pedro on Monday.

“I had really planned to surrender because what I did was wrong,” Capili told reporters. “I am seeking forgiveness from the family left behind by Mr. Pempengco… I am prepared to suffer whatever is the judgment.”

It’s still not clear what prompted Capili to kill Pempengco, although one local official says the suspect claimed the victim first assaulted him.

Charice, meanwhile, is not in a mindset of forgiveness.

“He should not defend himself. He cannot bring back my dad,” she said in a news conference on Thursday.

The “Glee” actress has returned to the Philippines in the wake of the tragedy, canceling tour dates.

She’s expressed devastation over her father’s death, even though the two had been estranged.

The father of “Glee” star Charice (Pempengco) was stabbed to death in her hometown of San Pedro, Philippines on Monday.

According to the police, Ricky Pempengco was in a store, in the town just south of Manila, when he accidentally knocked into a drunk man.

With no other provocation, the suspect then stabbed the “Glee” star’s dad to death in the chest and back with an ice pick.

The murderer is still on the loose.

While Charice and her father had been estranged, she’s still in deep pain.

The singer tweeted, “I am very sorry to all my fans from Singapore. I am not going to be there to be part of David Foster and Friends concert. I have to go back to the Philippines as soon as possible to be with my family. I hope you all understand. I love you all and I will see you next year.”

The actor was spotted kissing his Magic Mike co-star Riley Keough at LAX airport on Saturday.

Keough, a model-actress, is the granddaughter of Elvis Presley.

She and Pettyfer play exotic dancers in the Steven Soderbergh-directed movie, based on Channing Tatum‘s experiences as a male stripper.

Pettyfer split from “Glee” star Dianna Agron in February.

Cory Monteith is “bringing the drama to the Glee,” according to Star magazine, which claims he “wants out!”

The tabloid’s so-called “insider” says the actor’s been “complaining about long hours, inadequate pay and miserable working conditions,” and it could mean an early exit from the series.

Star‘s sources allege that “Cory’s days are numbered,” especially after “Glee” creator Ryan Murphy supposedly failed to make Monteith happy by cutting back on the cast’s work hours.

“[Show execs] feel like there’s no pleasing Cory. The smart money says that not only will Cory not be back next season, but he might not even finish this one,” claims the mag’s source.

But while Monteith (along with co-stars Chris Colfer and Lea Michele) has been the subject of much post-Season 3 speculation, there is not any on-set “drama,” and Monteith will not be bailing on the show mid-season.

A source close to Monteith tells Gossip Cop the Star report is a fabrication “not based in reality.”

Last week, Jonah Hill aired a beef he has with Matthew Morrison on “Late Night with Jimmy Fallon.”

He explained his feud began after a diss at the Fox fall upfronts, and culminated when he overheard his name used as a punchline to a joke Morrison told at a party.

Hill said he’s ready to take on the “Glee” star, and joked, “I’d like to see him sing his way out of this one.”

Well, Morrison responded in a taped rebuttal on “Late Night.”

Talking directly to the camera, Morrison tells Hill, “I can sing my way out of it, and I can dance my way out of it.”

“Be very afraid,” he warns the Moneyball star, adding, “No one messes with someone from musical theater… This just got real, man.”

Jonah Hill has a beef with Matthew Morrison.

The Moneyball star explained the feud during “Late Night with Jimmy Fallon,” where he told the host all about attending the Fox fall upfronts for his new animated series “Allen Gregory.”

It seems that some of the network’s “cool kids,” including “Glee” star Morrison, didn’t exactly make Hill feel welcome.

We don’t want to spoil the story, but it involves Zooey Deschanel, Michael Clarke Duncan and a whole lot of awkwardness.

Hill concludes by challenging Morrison and joking, “I’d like to see him sing his way out of this one.”

Heather Morris of “Glee” is the subject of a controversial new pictorial from photographer Tyler Shields, who depicts the actress with a black eye in a household setting.

“Even Barbie bruises,” explains Shields on his website. “We have been talking about shooting for a long time and we finally made it happen! Some magic, irons and bruises later it was complete.”

In the photos, Morris is seen in various poses sporting a black eye. In one of the shots, she’s holding an iron to Shields’ crotch.

Many commenters have taken offense to the pictures, saying they glamorize domestic violence.

In a statement to Us Weekly, Shields says, “Our shoot poses a lot of questions, but just like in real life, Heather is definitely not a victim. More like a really liberated woman.”

Jane Lynch tells viewers in the Glee: The 3D Concert Movie trailer (below), ”Please, save you money. This [movie] sucks.”

Now she has even more reason to believe it.

The actress, who plays tracksuit-wearing Sue Sylvester on the hit Fox series, shot scenes for the film, but has now been cut out of the movie, which hits theaters on August 12.

At a press conference before the film’s premiere this weekend, the show’s creator, Ryan Murphy, acknowledged Lynch ended up on the editing room floor, though added, “We’re doing another version in a couple of weeks on DVD… Jane will be on that.”

Justin Bieber, Lady Gaga, Britney Spears and other social media superstars will lend their enormous influence to a great cause – the “Show Your Hearts” campaign – starting tomorrow.

On July 3, a car accident killed Joshua and Robin Berry and left their sons Peter (9) and Aaron (8) paralyzed below the waist. Now the boys and their sister Willa (6) are in a Houston-area hospital, facing incredible challenges.

The “Show Your Hearts” fundraising campaign to benefit the Joshua and Robin Berry Children’s Trust officially begins tomorrow, July 27.

It will be aided by celebrities including the Kardashians, Diddy, Jennifer Hudson, Selena Gomez, Julianne Hough, Nicole Scherzinger and “Glee” cast members.

These stars and others are asking everyone to spread awareness about the Berry kids by swapping out profile pictures and avatars for “Show Your Hearts” artwork.

People are also encouraged to post a picture or video of themselves making the “heart” symbol with their hands.

Donations can be made via PayPal and text.

“Demi Lovato Spotted Flirting with Darren Criss – New Couple Alert?” asks a headline from HollywoodLife, which rarely knows the answers to its own questions.

The blog says Lovato was “hitting on” the “Glee” star at the “HTC Status Social” Launch Event in L.A. on Tuesday.

According to a supposed “source” close to the “Skyscraper” singer, Lovato was being “flirty” with Criss, and there was “lots of giggling and laughing” before they exchanged phone numbers.

Really?

Not exactly.

A mutual pal of Gossip Cop and Criss’ tells us they met “very briefly.”

And a source close to Lovato confirms they only met “for about 30 seconds on the red carpet.”

If HollywoodLife had taken 30 seconds to fact-check their story, they’d know that as well.

The TV show “Extra” notes under a “New Couple Alert!” headline that the “latest rumor in the Hollywood dating mill pairs actress Renee Zellweger with ‘Glee’ guest star John Stamos.”

Basing its piece off an Us Weekly story, “Extra” says the Oscar winner and the “Full House” star were spotted together at Disneyland on Monday and were, according to one account, “having a great time laughing and dancing as they walked from one ride to another.”

So, are the two stars now seeing each other?

Nope.

A source close to Stamos confirms to Gossip Cop, “They are just friends.”

The “Glee” stars turned up the heat at the cast’s final concert in Dublin on Sunday night, with Heather Morris and Naya Rivera sharing a steamy girl-on-girl kiss.

Morris (Brittany) told the audience she wanted to bring her crush Darren Criss (Blaine) onstage to make out with him, but Criss responded, “That’s really flattering but actually I’m taken.”

Rivera (Santana) then came to rescue and gave her on-screen lover a smooch.

Later, Chris Colfer (Kurt) and Criss also shared a kiss.
