The NBA has suspended Gilbert Arenas for the remainder of the season.

League commissioner David Stern met with Arenas on Wednesday.

Javaris Crittenton, a Washington Wizards teammate with whom Arenas argued, eventually leading to the gun incident that imperiled both players’ future with the squad, has also been suspended for the rest of the campaign.

NBA star Gilbert Arenas pleaded guilty to a felony count of carrying a pistol in the District of Columbia without a license.

The Washington Wizard’s conviction to a single count of violating the strict gun law may imperil his professional future.

Arenas wound up in legal hot water after a December 21 incident in which Arenas allegedly played a joke on teammate Javaris Crittenton by displaying a gun he stored in his locker.
