Through Unicef, the singer unveiled “Shakira & [fiancé] Gerard Pique’s World Baby Shower,” where fans can donate $5-$110 “to help save children’s lives” in celebration of their son Milan.

Shakira‘s boyfriend Gerard Piqué played quite the prank on Thursday night, claiming on Twitter and Facebook that the couple had welcomed their first child.

“Ya ha nacido nuestro hijo! Estamos muy felices! Gracias a todos por vuestros mensajes!” he wrote in Spanish, which translates to “Our son is born! We are very happy! Thank you all for your messages!”

Piqué’s message, however, coincided with the Latin American equivalent of April Fool’s Day, and he took to the social networking sites about 10 hours later to reveal that he was just joking.

After the singer bared her baby bump in a recent photo posted on Twitter, Shakira’s soccer player boyfriend Gerard Piqué revealed an ultrasound sonogram picture of their unborn son.
