Jennifer Aniston is returning to network television, says X17Online, picking up on a rumor that she’s going to guest star on “Days of Our Lives.”

The outlet, which sometimes spreads myths when it’s not occasionally manufacturing untruths, reports that Aniston ”will appear on ‘Days of Our Lives,’ on which her father, John Aniston, plays Greek mobster Victor Kiriakis.”

“The former ‘Friends’ star will play a wedding planner who helps her father’s character gets married,” notes the site.

But is she really appearing on the soap?

Nope.

A rep for the A-lister tells Gossip Cop the rumor is “completely false.”

The National Enquirer reports that Jennifer Aniston is “nursing a bruised ego after being branded ‘too old’” for the leading role in the upcoming rom-com You Are Here.

The tab says the “Friends” alum “was hot to star” in the flick, and was “angry” when producers chose Zooey Deschanel instead.

According to a so-called “insider” for the mag, Aniston is “incredibly upset” that she was “passed over” for the role by the “younger, hipper” Deschanel.

“She’s disappointed… but she’s learning to roll with the punches” says the supposed “source.”

No, she’s not.

Aniston was “never considering” the film, a rep confirms to Gossip Cop.

Jennifer Aniston and Courteney Cox have had a “falling-out” that’s threatening to “destroy their relationship,” reports Us Weekly.

The mag says the best friends “had a spat this spring over Cox’s rumored romantic bond with costar Brian Van Holt.”

According to an Us Weekly source, ”Jen thinks Courteney is acting callous by running around with this guy but refusing to file divorce papers” from estranged husband David Arquette.

Cox’s alleged dalliance with Van Holt is supposedly a “reminder of the heartache” Aniston experienced when Brad Pitt got together with Angelina Jolie immediately after their split.

“She hates watching Courteney do the same thing,” explains the “source.”

Hmm…

There are a couple of problems with the mag’s story.

Cox and Van Holt were NEVER romantically involved.

And a rep for the Just Go With It star assures Gossip Cop, “There was no falling out and Jennifer has always and continues to consider Courteney one of her closest and dearest friends.”

Jennifer Aniston is “commissioning a huge portrait” of her late dog Norman, reports the National Enquirer.

The mag says Aniston got the idea to pay tribute to the canine from “ex-beau Bradley Cooper, who has a giant photograph of his late dog Samson displayed prominently in his home.”

“Jen was at Bradley’s house recently and saw the picture of Samson,” explains a supposed “source” for the tab, saying, “She absolutely loved it and asked Brad for the artist’s contact information.”

The so-called source adds, “She’s planning to make the portrait the centerpiece of a shrine memorializing the most faithful ‘man’ in her life.”

While we have no doubt that Aniston loved the terrier deeply, she’s NOT having the dog immortalized with a shrine.

A rep for the “Friends” alum tells Gossip Cop, “She is not commissioning a portrait of Norman – it’s all a complete fabrication.”

Matthew Perry is taking a trip as a proactive measure in his ongoing struggle with substance abuse.

The “Friends” star tells TMZ, “I’m making plans to go away for a month to focus on my sobriety and to continue my life in recovery.”

“Please enjoy making fun of me on the World Wide Web.”

There’s been no indication that Perry suffered a relapse of any kind.

Perry entered treatment for addiction to prescription pills in 1997 and 2001.

In Touch reports that Angelina Jolie “went through the roof” when she learned Brad Pitt hung out with Courteney Cox at their manager Cynthia Pett-Dante‘s May 4th birthday dinner at Beso in L.A.

According to the mag, it was a “bold move” for Pitt to show up at a party where his ex-wife Jennifer Aniston‘s best friend would be, since the star supposedly “knows full well that Angelina considers Courteney an enemy.”

Jolie was “so angry” that Pitt hung out with Cox, claims a so-called “insider,” because “years ago, Angelina had heard that Courteney had been calling her a home-wrecker.”

However, despite the mag’s attempt to cause drama between the couple, Jolie was NOT upset that her husband spent time with an old friend.

In fact, Gossip Cop can confirm that Jolie has no sort of vendetta against the “Friends” alum.

Back in 2007, we observed Pitt and Jolie hanging out with Cox and David Arquette at the Golden Globes, and they all got along great.

“How Courteney took Jen’s man,” reads a headline from Life & Style, which claims Courteney Cox and Jennifer Aniston are feuding over Cox’s “Cougar Town” co-star Josh Hopkins.

According to the tabloid, the former “Friends” stars’ bond is being “put to the test” after Aniston saw photos of Cox in St. Bart’s with Hopkins, whom she supposedly “hooked up” with last fall.

Cox’s alleged canoodling with Hopkins is a “blow to Jen’s ego since her relationship with him was so fresh,” claims the mag.

What “relationship”?

Aniston and Hopkins enjoyed a friendly meal when she was guest-starring on the show. That’s it.

Hopkins himself denied he and Aniston were anything more than friends.

There’s also that other thing… Hopkins and Cox  are similarly NOT romantically involved.

As Gossip Cop told you, Cox and Hopkins were in St. Bart’s with her daughter Coco and a group of friends. They are not dating.

Courteney Cox “may have lost a husband, but she gained a new bustline!” reports Star magazine.

According to the tabloid, Cox, who separated from David Arquette in October, “flaunted a much fuller chest in a skimpy bikini while filming her ABC comedy Cougar Town in Hawaii on March 1.”

The mag consulted a plastic surgeon who says that Cox “looks like she had a breast augmentation that took her from a B cup to a C cup,” and believes the actress, “has more upper breast fullness and cleavage” than she did in the past.

“Courteney’s latest squeeze and costar, Brian Van Holt, must like the new look,” Star adds cheekily, for “he was spotted going in and out of her hotel room during their stay in Oahu.”

So did “Friends” alum really augment her, um… friends?

No.

A source close to the star confirms to Gossip Cop that Cox did NOT recently get breast implants.

Oh, and one more thing – Cox is NOT dating Van Holt – as we’ve told you time and time again.

According to so-called insiders for the tab, Aniston became “crazy about” co-star Adam Sandler while filming Just Go With It last year, and now that they’re promoting the film, “her romantic feelings for him have come flooding back.”

The tab claims that before Lohan entered rehab, “her mom Dina asked Jen to mentor Lindsay.”

David Schwimmer is going to be a father, Gossip Cop can confirm.

This is the first child for Schwimmer and Zoe Buckman, who quietly wed last June.

A rep for the actor tells us the couple is “excited to be expecting their first child and couldn’t be more thrilled.”

Schwimmer, who has gone behind the camera to direct, is set to release Trust, starring Clive Owen and Catherine Keener, next April.

“I Can’t Stop Loving Brad,” reads a Star magazine cover about Jennifer Aniston and Brad Pitt.

Inside the tabloid it’s claimed that after Aniston and gal pal Chelsea Handler threw back a bunch of cocktails recently in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, the “Friends” star “broke down” and told the “Chelsea Lately” host “everything that went down during [her and Pitt's] split.”

The tab then recounts how Pitt and Aniston “met up last summer at Brad’s Plan B Entertainment offices,” and quotes an “insider” as saying that because they’re allegedly in contact, “She wonders if someday they might get back together.”

Added into this journalistic junk pile is Star‘s assertion that Handler wanted to show Aniston that “she’s on her side,” and so she lashed out at Angelina Jolie during a December 3 performance in Newark, NJ, calling Jolie “a homewrecker” and “a f***ing b**ch.”

Strike one: As Gossip Cop previously noted, Handler’s ribbing of Jolie has been part of her act for a long time.

Strike two: Pitt and Aniston NEVER secretly met up in his office, as we reported a couple of months ago.

Strike three: “No such conversation ever took place between Chelsea and Jennifer,” says a source in the know. With the exception of Aniston and Handler being together in Mexico, NONE of the other details are even remotely accurate.

Our trusted source reiterates, “The whole story is a complete fabrication.”

“Jennifer Aniston is set to be the subject of a reality TV show,” writes Showbiz Spy.

The site claims Aniston “has reportedly been approached by former MTV programming president Tony DiSanto” about doing “a fly-on-the-wall series” on the former “Friends” star.

According to a so-called source, “Viewers would kill to see how she goes about her day-to-day life, what she really eats and get an insight into her love life.”

That same supposed source says DiSanto pitched the show and now “Jen is giving it some thought… It’s just about coming up with the right show that doesn’t make her look foolish.”

Actually, only Showbiz Spy looks foolish.

DiSanto tells Gossip Cop exclusively, “While I’m a huge fan of hers, it is news to me that we are working together.” He adds he’d be “happy to meet [her], though.”

Courteney Cox is breaking her silence about her split from David Arquette.

“I don’t know what will happen, but this is not like we’re getting divorced,” reveals Cox.

“This is a separation and I think that takes a lot of courage… Whatever is supposed to happen will be the best thing for us,” she says in her first interview with TV Week.

And while she leaves open the possibility of a reconciliation, the “Cougar Town” star admits that “we actually have grown apart.”

She even thinks her husband of 11 years is “a kook.” When discussing the infamous interview with Howard Stern, Cox says his revelations about them not having sex for months and his dalliance with Jasmine Waltz is “not shocking… David is an entertainer and I’m sure the people who listen to the radio are entertained by his stories.”

Cox also says she’s been leaning on closest “Friends” costar Jennifer Aniston. ”We just have fun, we laugh, we’re inseparable and it’s great,” says an appreciative Cox. “Jennifer has been amazing for sure.”

Tabloids are getting so desperate they’re using another couple’s problems to stir rumors of trouble between Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt.

The National Enquirer reports Jolie “flipped out” after hearing that Pitt had called Courteney Cox “to offer condolences on her marriage bustup” with David Arquette.

What pushed “super-jealous” Jolie over the edge, according to the magazine?

Her alleged belief that Pitt only reached out to Cox “as a cover to rekindle his ties to the ‘Friends’ star’s best pal — his ex-wife Jennifer Aniston!”

An “insider” tells the Enquirer, “Angie said she wouldn’t be surprised if Jen was sitting right next to Courteney when he called!”

Pitt, for his part, was supposedly “astonished” to get such an “angry reaction” from Jolie, who the tab source claims, “is convinced that Courteney has been bad-mouthing her for years” to protect Aniston.

Well, forgive Gossip Cop for “bad-mouthing” the Enquirer, but the magazine is completely wrong… yet again.

A source tells us there was never any such Jolie blow-up, and that it’s just more tab-generated drama.

Maybe the Enquirer should cut out the middle man and just start writing fiction directly for Hollywood.

“A reunion of Friends has caused a riff in Courteney Cox and David Arquette‘s marriage,” declares a Betty Confidential “exclusive,” referring to rumors that Cox’s former cast mates will appear on her new show, “Cougar Town.”

This already smells fishy.

Why would the couple be “battling” on the subject?

According to the site, Arquette is “worried about the integrity” of the show. A so-called “source” says he told Cox during a staff meeting argument, “This is not Friends. This is Cougar Town.”

His wife has already supposedly called old pals Jennifer Aniston, Matt LeBlanc, David Schwimmer and Matthew Perry about appearing on the series, and Arquette “isn’t happy about it,” claims the Betty Confidential source.

Arquette allegedly didn’t want Lisa Kudrow to make an appearance last season, but “Courteney won that battle,” and it looks like ”Courteney will win this fight as well.”

Let’s get this straight.

Betty Confidential wants us to believe David Arquette is furious that the show his wife headlines could potentially feature one of the most talked-about reunions in TV history, and that he’s allegedly argued the point in front of staff… but only one “source” seems to have witnessed it, and if a reunion winds up happening it’s only due to Cox “winning” a nonsensical battle.

A source close to the couple tells Gossip Cop the story is complete “b.s.”

Sometimes we suspect editors at gossip rags clear space on the floor and spread out the head shots of several dozen Hollywood actors. Then one editor puts on a blindfold, spins himself dizzy, and tosses a wet noodle. The actor whose photo gets hit with the noodle is Jennifer Aniston‘s new “love interest.” At least for the next seven days.

If that isn’t the strategy, whatever they’re doing is equally absurd.

This week, the lucky guy is Paul Rudd, a former movie co-star (and “Friends” guest star) with whom Aniston has fallen “in love,” according to the National Enquirer. The two have been friends for more than ten years, reports the tab, and Rudd has been there “to offer his support when each of Jen’s relationships has crashed and burned.”

But Aniston now sees Rudd as more than a confidante, claims the Enquirer. “Jen has opened her heart up to Paul, and she’s allowing her feelings to veer from platonic to romantic,” says a “source” for the magazine.

Rudd has been married to film exec Julie Yaeger since 2003, and the couple has a son. He’s “clueless over Jen’s feelings,” so Aniston is “bound to wind up feeling hurt and rejected again.”

Maybe the gang at the Enquirer fixates on Aniston being “hurt and rejected” because it’s how they feel whenever Gossip Cop points out how dreadfully, laughably, sloppily wrong they are on romance rumors every single week.

Or maybe it’s how they feel when Gossip Cop has the nerve report accurately on Aniston, whereas the Enquirer is off insisting that she’s writing the script for a “Friends” movie (wrong), quitting Hollywood to “make a new start” in Hawaii (wrong) and prowling for men with Chelsea Handler (wrong).

Whatever is hurting the Enquirer staff’s feelings, Gossip Cop also has to reject this week’s lame Aniston “love” report.

Either sites don’t bother to find out whether a rumor is old, or they subscribe to the theory that repetition makes it true.

As if rousing from a deep slumber, Showbiz Spy reports, “Best pals Jennifer Aniston and Courteney Cox have hatched a cunning plan to make a Friends movie.”

A “cunning plan,” huh? The site makes it sound like a bank heist.

But the only thing stolen here is a very old, very wrong rumor.

“After years of saying no, Jen Courteney (sic) decided the time is right for a Friends reunion,” a source “close to the BFFs” supposedly told the National Enquirer, says Showbiz Spy.

The site goes on to echo the original report’s major whiffs — the notion that Aniston and Cox are penning a script themselves after watching the Sex and the City movies with envy, the idea that the pair has already reached out to co-stars, etc.

None of this is any more accurate than when Gossip Cop busted the Enquirer‘s story ten days ago.

Or when Celebitchy parroted the same wrong rumors eight days ago.

For the benefit of Showbiz Spy and other outlets who insist on dragging these inaccuracies into yet another week: There is no Friends movie in the works, and Jennifer Aniston is not campaigning for one.

“Yes! I Am Having A Baby,” screams the Jennifer Aniston cover of OK! magazine, which promises “A sneak peek at the interview everybody will be talking about.”

According to OK!, “Jen is finally telling the world that she’s taking the plunge into real-life motherhood,” and she revealed this scoop in a “startling frank interview for a fall issue of a monthly U.S.-based women’s magazine.”

Like the unnamed U.S.-based magazine, OK! quotes an unnamed source who claims, “Jennifer says in the interview that she will do everything in her power to have a baby ‘as soon as possible,’ and she says she is ready for that now.”

The so-called “source” continues, “This is really her public announcement that she is emotionally ready for children. She doesn’t get into specifics beyond saying how much she wants to be a mother – and that she’s actually exploring how she can do that.”

Although the tab says Aniston might adopt, it also has an alleged “insider” saying, “Privately, Jennifer maintains she would prefer to have a baby with the man of her dreams,” and lists as possible candidates “her latest Mr. Right” Jason Sudeikis and her “Mr. Yesterday” Gerard Butler.

Enough already!

Aniston NEVER dated Butler. And she is NOT dating Sudeikis.

More importantly, Aniston didn’t speak to a magazine about wanting to have a baby.

In fact, her rep tells Gossip Cop, “She did not give an interview to any magazine… this is just more BS from OK!“

Aniston, however, did pose for photos for the September issue of a magazine, but the accompanying quotes – which have yet to be given – will pay tribute to an icon.

Interestingly, this isn’t the first or second time OK! has been wrong about Aniston and babies.

The “Friends” star isn’t planning to have a baby any more now than she was when the magazine falsely claimed she was “pregnant at 40″ on a cover last September or when it inaccurately declared on a April cover that “she’s choosing bad boy Gerard make her dream come true.”

The National Enquirer claims Jennifer Aniston and Courteney Cox “are working on a top secret script” for a “Friends” movie, and “it looks like Jen may also direct the project.”

Yeah, the script is so secret – not even Aniston and Cox know about it.

Nevertheless, according to a so-called “insider,” Cox and Aniston “watched with envy as the ‘Sex and the City’ cast parlayed their cable TV show into a massive movie success.”

That why, says the supermarket tab, Aniston is “campaigning to make a ‘Friends’ movie.”

The Enquirer further reports Aniston is trying to get the NBC series’ creators “to give the movie their blessing,” and has already called costars Lisa Kudrow, Matthew Perry, David Schwimmer, and Matt LeBlanc, who the mag says have “given a big thumbs up to the idea.”

Well, Gossip Cop is giving this story a big thumbs down because it’s not true.

There is no “Friends” movie in the works.

A rep for Aniston confirms to Gossip Cop, “There is no secret ‘Friends’ script nor is Jennifer campaigning with the creators.”

Leave it to the tabs to create a little controversy when there is none.

According to the Daily Mail, David Schwimmer and Jennifer Aniston are “friends no more.”

Why?

The paper claims Schwimmer is upset because, when Aniston was asked on “Late Show with David Letterman” who he was marrying, she answered, “don’t know.”

But the reality is news of Schwimmer’s engagement to photographer Zoe Buckman leaked out before he was able to tell friends, like Aniston, so she actually didn’t know about it.

Despite the Daily Mail stating that Schwimmer’s “offended” and “hasn’t been taking [Aniston’s] calls,” a source close to the actor tells Gossip Cop, “He’s not upset.”

The headline on Betty Confidential promises to reveal: “Why Courteney Cox Can’t Stop Worrying About Jennifer Aniston.”

A more honest (and accurate) one would be: “Why Gossip Sites Can’t Stop Obsessively Recycling Rumors About Jennifer Aniston.”

Betty Confidential, which once wrongly claimed Jessica Simpson was dating Gerard Butler, now becomes the 11,000th outlet to link the actor to Aniston, his co-star in The Bounty Hunter.

But with Aniston allegedly “telling close friends” that she and Butler are dating “again,” longtime buddy Cox is supposedly “worried her pal’s going to get her heart broken one more time.”

A so-called “source” tells Betty Confidential Cox is “behind Jennifer 100 percent” but also “looking out for her and wants to make sure she doesn’t get crushed.” And why might Aniston be “crushed”?

According to the site’s “source,” the star “gets too serious, too soon,” adding, “That’s what happened the first time she and Gerard started dating. Luckily, they remained friends and are trying again.”

Claims the site, “Courteney is worried that Gerard may be more bad news for Jen.”

Yeah… Betty Confidential definitely knows about “bad news.”

It’s what they habitually print.

Gerard Butler and Jennifer Aniston are not dating.

They weren’t dating before.

So they aren’t dating “again” now.

No need for Cox, Aniston, Butler, you, us, or anyone else to worry.

“Jennifer Aniston is set to reunite with Courteney Cox on the small screen,” reports Showbiz Spy.

The site claims “insiders” say Aniston “will join Cox — her former costar on the hit show Friends — in the second season of her acclaimed sitcom, Cougar Town.”

Adds a so-called “source,” Cox “is under pressure to spice things up for a second season… Jen is likely to guest star for one episode as [a] fellow cougar.”

Aniston’s rep told Gossip Cop, “At present there are no plans for Jennifer to be on the show,” though Friends are friends, so one can “never say never.”

A few months ago Gossip Cop busted a News of the World story that reported, “Friends is back for a big-screen version of the hit sitcom.”

At the time, reps for several stars of the hit show told Gossip Cop, they were “not aware of any plans for a ‘Friends’ movie.” Well now Lisa Kudrow, who guest stars this week on Courteney Cox’s comedy “Cougar Town,” personally addresses the rumor.

Kudrow says that despite the success of the big-screen adaptation of “Sex and the City,” the creators of “Friends,” NEVER pitched the former cast members on a “Friends: The Movie.”

She tells the Associated Press, “’Sex and the City’ was already filmic… It was a single-camera show that was like a half-hour movie every week, anyway. Our show was multi-camera in front of an audience. Whenever movie versions of those types of shows have been done, they’ve been sort of satirical.” Adds Kudrow, “Maybe in 10 more years, other people will play us and make fun of it.”

Gossip Cop would like to know in the comments section if you agree with Kudrow that a “Friends” flick wouldn’t work, or if you would still like to see a big-screen version of the long-running comedy series.

According to the brief story, the “Friends” star is planning on opening her very own eatery. The piece even quotes Aniston saying, “If all goes well I hope to open a Mexican restaurant in New York City in 2010… I love Mexican food. I’ll mingle with customers and be a guest waitress.”

Sorry, but this story doesn’t amount to a hill of beans.

Gossip Cop checked with Aniston’s rep, who assured us it’s “not true.”

It took the National Enquirer just three words to get a story wrong. That’s a record! (For the time being.)

“Jennifer Aniston’s ex-beau,” begins a story about the “Friends” star and Gerard Butler.”

Already, the story is wrong since Aniston NEVER dated Butler.

But we’ll continue…

According to the supermarket tab, “Jennifer Aniston’s ex-beau has hit her with one final insult – he wants to settle down and have a baby – just not with her!”

“During their romance, Gerard told Jen the last thing he wanted was to get married and settle down. Now that he’s left her, he’s had a change of heart,” reports the mag, adding, “Jen was shocked when Gerard told her recently that he now wants a family.”

Oh really?

(Reminder: They NEVER dated.)

So what does the Enquirer say was the cause of Butler’s “change of heart”?

While eating a Sunday lunch in a Los Angeles restaurant, Butler, claims an Enquirer “source,” saw a couple with a baby, and “kept saying, ‘I want one of those. I want my own kid. Children are what it’s all about.’”

Uh, had he never seen a baby before? Or “one of those,” as they would have us believe him saying?

So while chowing down brunch he decides to make a life-changing decision, and then inform a woman whom he NEVER dated that he wants babies?

Suffice to say, Butler’s rep told Gossip Cop the story is “ridiculous.”

That’s an understatement.

Gossip Cop reached out to the writer of this tall tale, seeking a comment as to whether the information was fact-checked.

Just yesterday, the Star reported that Jennifer Aniston was looking to adopt a baby. And today, the National Enquirer says her “Friends” co-star Courteney Cox is similarly looking to adopt a child, and is supposedly getting help from “My Big Fat Greek Wedding” star Nia Vardalos, the 2009 spokesperson for the National Adoption Day Coalition.

Let us explain.

Varadalos is married to Cox’s “Cougar Town” co-star Ian Gomez, and the couple have an adopted daughter, who the Enquirer claims “stirred Courteney’s desire for more kids.” The article adds, “When Nia brought her daughter to see daddy at work on the set, Courteney flipped for her.”

Cox and her husband David Arquette already have a five-year-old daughter, Coco, but the tab reports they “desperately want Coco to have a sibling… And now with Nia in their corner, Coco may find herself with a sister before long.”  

Touching, but not true. A rep for Cox tells Gossip Cop the Enquirer story is a “complete fabrication.”

“Is love Blooming again for our Jen,” reads a headline in the Mirror, which tries to link Jennifer Aniston and Orlando Bloom.

The article tauntingly asks, “If they’re just good Friends, how come Jennifer Aniston and Orlando Bloom seem so keen not to be seen together?”

Aniston and Bloom both landed in London’s Heathrow airport yesterday, but didn’t want to be photographed together, which caused some journalists and bloggers to speculate that they were hiding more than just their faces.

The Mirror even reports that they “were seen sneaking off together in a car outside.”

Hardly sneaking.

In fact, Aniston and Bloom were spotted later… in Morocco!

They were both at a bash for the re-opening of Marrakech’s famed Hotel La Mamounia.

Oh, one more thing: Bloom was at the party with…  girlfriend Miranda Kerr.
